A vacation without your four-legged friend just isn’t the same, but luckily, it’s easier than ever to find a pet-friendly getaway. Especially on the Oregon Coast, where we offer more than 500 pet-friendly homes!
We talked (barked?) with a few canine members of Team Vacasa and their owners to discuss some of the most fetching pet-friendly vacation rentals on the Oregon Coast.
Human: Katie W. – Catalog Writer
Richie’s Pick: Eagle’s View – Neskowin, OR
Neskowin is a favorite among locals seeking a more tranquil time on the coast. In addition to the spacious deck for napping with a view, Richie enjoys curling up by the fire after long misty morning beach walks down to the Neskowin Ghost Forest—one of his favorite haunted places in the Pacific Northwest—at low tide.
Human: Sara G. – Sr. Editorial Manager
Oscar’s Pick: Cheri’s Oceanfront Getaway – Rockaway Beach, OR
Oscar loves Rockaway Beach for its easygoing boardwalk charm, and this spot is his choice to take it all in. The fenced-in yard is great for lounging in the sun while dozing off to the sounds of crashing waves. If the chef in the retro kitchen is off duty, it’s a great excuse to explore Rockaway’s local cuisine at Pronto Pup, famous for the invention of the corndog (yes, really).
Human: Malia B. – Regional Marketing Coordinator
Nika’s Pick: La Bella Vita – Cannon Beach, OR
Just a short stroll from the sand, this Cannon Beach charmer is Nika’s favorite place for some R&R. She loves picking up scraps in the kitchen, relaxing in the living room, and getting ready for one of her favorite day hikes near Cannon Beach.
Human: Matt A. – Product Manager
Frank’s Pick: Jetty House – Bandon, OR
When Frank isn’t wearing his owner out on the Bandon Dunes, he loves to spy on whales from the kitchen in between snacking. Bandon’s craggy coastline lends itself well to the panoramic views from your home, and the in-house washer/dryer and fenced yard make puppy management easy-breezy.
Human: Eric E. – Analyst
Tchaikovsky’s Pick: Yurt on the Bay – Bay City, OR
Yurt on the Bay appeals to Tchai’s glamping inclinations and is a great getaway to experience cozy fall days on the Oregon Coast. When he’s not under a pile of blankets during a rainy movie night or snuggling by the fireplace, he can be found watching herons glide over the bay.
Human: Dustin C. – Business Development Analyst
Rudy’s Pick: Shoreline Cottage – Cape Meares, OR
Easy beach access and front-row seats to watch the sun dip into the Pacific make this retreat one of Rudy’s favorites. After posing for selfies next to the Cape Meares Light (Oregon’s shortest lighthouse), it’s an easy pit stop to nearby Netarts Bay for some fresh oysters on the half shell.
Human: Tiffany E. – Communications and Training Coordinator
Sal’s Pick: HATS House – Coos Bay, OR
After a day of exploring the tide pools at Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, Sal takes a well-deserved position in the backyard next to the hot tub, eyes ever-vigilant for squirrels. Believe it or not, Sal is also an avid motorsports enthusiast, and the tallest sand dunes in the state provide some next-level adrenaline rushes.
Human: Melodie S. – Lead Catalog Editor
Molly’s Pick: Macklyn Cove – Brookings, OR
Molly likes to harness her inner lighthouse keeper in this quirky home overlooking Table Rock and Macklyn Cove. Well-suited for large groups or families, this vacation home also skates a perfect balance between close proximity to town and serene seclusion.
Human: Justin M. – Regional Marketing Coordinator
Asha’s Pick: Neptune’s Lookout – Lincoln City, OR
Asha loves hiking in the Gorge (pictured above)—but she also loves the view from this amazing Lincoln City home. It’s a toss-up, but there are some pretty great hikes around Lincoln City, too. At press time, she said it’s hard to choose, but her favorite is probably the trail to the beach at Fogarty Creek State Park.
Human: Maggie K. – Owner Support Specialist
Oskar’s Pick: Kailua Kottage – Seaside, OR
Oskar embraces his hipster tendencies by spelling his name with a “k” and sometimes wearing a really cool hat. Oskar loves this charming cottage for its easy access to the Promenade—Seaside’s famous boardwalk that runs parallel to the shoreline. He is always ready for a walk.
Human: Kyle C. – Senior Editor, PR & Brand
Heppner’s Pick: Modern Manzanita Retreat – Manzanita, OR
When Heppner’s not viewing a once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse with some stylin’ protective eyewear, she spends her weekends in Manzanita. One of her favorite activities? Packing up a wagon with toys (and a frisbee, of course) and making a day of it at the beach, then heading back for some grilling and sunning on the upper deck.
