Great location and very clean. Beds were comfortable and there was lots of room for 3 families to do things together and still have room to be separate at times.
Gearhart has a beautiful beach. We enjoyed the herd of elk on the footpath and in the front yard!
six women with significant life experience... we gathered for 4 days at this lovely home. Very clean, good beds, comfortable ambiance. The kitchen was easy to cook in and find what was needed. We had glorious sunshine which made it all perfect.
This home has a ton of space to spread out that we loved for our annual girls' beach weekend. The kitchen was stocked very nicely as well. We didn't give it a 5 star because the furniture in the main living space (where we spent most of our time) is tired and uncomfortable.
Home is well maintained and a wonderful place to stay
It is very comfortable and nicely furnished. The sun room and family rooms are cozy. The long dining room table is great for a gathering.
The entire house and property were fantastic. We plan to revisit
This home was more than large enough for the nine adults and two toddlers in our party. The dining room table seated us all, allowing us to share our meals together.
The proximity to the beach was very nice, and one evening a large herd of cow and calf elk casually grazed the wild sweet peas growing in the state park between the porch and the ocean--some as close as 50 yards from the porch!
We loved this historic Oregon coastal home with cozy interior spaces and very private deck and backyard. I loved the long walk to the sea through beach grass and an arbor tunnel! Would stay again!
Exactly what you would expect for a charming, quaint home on the Oregon Coast. The home was well kept, had lots of seating throughout the home! It was the perfect place to celebrate retirement with our family! Private walkway straight to the beach was awesome and the kids loved it, as well as the beautiful yard! Would definitely recommend.
I took my team here for a two day retreat. It is a great large house that could fit everyone comfortably (there were 9 of us) with different places to gather and or be alone. The house is very old but very well kept with a beautiful private yard that 's directly on the dunes that lead to the beach. We all loved being there and would come back again.
The house was huge, there was plenty of off-street parking for us. The house was fully stocked with all of the amenities needed for our stay. Plenty of games for the family to enjoy. We did have trouble with some of the doorknobs falling off, and noticed that one large painting had a tear in it--might be nice if someone could fix it. But it was just a beautiful place--plenty of wildlife, beautiful beach--couldn't ask for more!
Charm and history of the home. Quiet location.
We loved staying here and will return in the near future!
Our family enjoyed a great Thanksgiving in Gearhart and look forward to doing it again. A quirky old house with all the charm of its era plus a good furnace, hot water, and in-house laundry. Very large kitchen, complete with butler's pantry and a huge dining room. Lots of extra pillows and blankets which were much appreciated for use in trying to make the wicker furniture more comfortable. Recommend checking with the management before booking to see that the stove has been replaced if you plan to do much cooking.
This house and its location were perfect for our three families and children aged
Had a fun time staying at this house. House had lots of rooms and spaces to relax in. We had 3 couples staying. Used the well stocked kitchen for meals - nice dinning room with large table for group meals. Relatively close walk to ocean beach. Nice porch to sit on. Fireplace that works.
The negatives were: Buttons to set oven temp did not all work - should be checked out.
Bathroom on main floor - towel rack needs to have set screws tightened.
The house shows wear from being close to ocean - but was sound and reasonably priced. Many fun areas are with in 30 min drive.
Would consider for next year -
