With three bedrooms and a loft, this charming and spacious Homewood vacation rental will accommodate 12 comfortably. Downstairs is a nice, private bedroom with a roomy king bed. Upstairs, the second bedroom has two twin beds, a twin-over-full bunk, and a TV for late-night movies, making it perfect for younger guests or some laid-back friends to share. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed and a twin, and the open loft area has a fifth twin.

There are two full baths, both tastefully decorated; one offers a walk-in shower, the other a tub. And pack lightly: there's a washer and dryer for your convenience.

You'll be right on a bike path, and just around the corner from Blackwood Canyon, a great recreation area for running, biking, rollerblading, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Homewood Resort - renowned for its "peak to shore" skiing - is just four minutes south. (There's more seasonal fun at Squaw Valley, Alpine, and Northstar, all within 25 miles of Homewood.) Boat owners: there are five boat launches, two of which are right in Homewood. Golfers can tee up at nearby Tahoe City Golf Course or Squaw Creek, both less than 10 miles away. Or, for a night out with Lady Luck, make the half-hour drive north over the Nevada border and visit Crystal Bay's casinos.

Plenty of room to spread out. The deck was great with the dining set and conversation set - and the heat lamp! The spa has a quiet view of the trees - very relaxing!

Great location. Near the lake. Private pier. Enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room for our friends.
Deanna W. Mar 2019
The location was great for our getaway. We were able to bring our two little dogs which made the experience even better. Everything worked great. Would stay again on a minute.
Carson R. May 2018
The large deck with lake views out front was amazing. The hot tub was great too.
Joe V. Mar 2018
A great getaway. We enjoyed the hospitality and hot tub.
Lucy F. Jan 2018
Very spacious, clean and well-stocked.

We choose this cabin because we could bring our dog along. It is in an amazing location, a short walk to the lake and a nature preserve behind. We found a great hiking trail up the back road. Such gorgeous views. The cabin is spacious and cozy. It is in the middle of some renovations and could use just a little TLC. You definitely feel like you are staying in someone's home. For what you are paying, it is perfect.

The place is wonderful. View of the lake right from the deck. Property needs some TLC even though they started some work but didn’t finish it. It could be 5/5 property if was thoroughly cleaned, hot tub functioning properly, and house remodeling done completely.
Manager response:
We apologize for any disappointments this guest experienced. The hot tub has been fixed, and the owner is actively working on improvements to the home. Thanks!

The hot tub didn't work and the pier code didn't work.

The property looked like it was about half way through a bunch of do it yourself projects.

The wifi password was incorrect

The front deck was rotting, furniture was placed to cover the bad spots, and it wasn't even swept before we got there.
Manager response:
A new hot tub will be in place by the end of June, and all repairs from winter damage will be addressed as well. Thank you!

Love the location of this property and the fact that you can bring your four legged friends is a major plus. The wooded area out back is just perfect for both summer or winter play. The house is a bit dated, which is fine by me, but several things weren't working (hot tub, dishwasher, wifi, no access to the wood). It takes awhile to heat up when you get there and definitely turn the water heater up to level B if you want to shower. The games and puzzles had unfortunately been mixed up all together. I think after sorting through it the only playable game is Trivial Pursuit. There is a chessboard and cribbage board. The puzzles are too mixed up to attempt. Most of the DVDs are missing or in the wrong cases. We were only able to find one children's movie, though there are several empty cases. I would actually stay here again because the location was ideal and the house very serviceable, but I would plan to bring my own games and movies. Vacasa was very nice about the amenities that were not available and will be issuing some appropriate credits to me, but just know if you book it you may not have everything listed available to you. You will have a great location, a nice partial view of the lake, and endless things to do in the surrounding areas.

This place was the best house rental i've ever rented. The people that lived around our party were very nice and easy to talk to, the lake view was gorgeous, and most important of all the house was cozy. We went with a party of 7 and it worked out perfect. Although the top room in the house with bunk beds was sketchy because we heard a lot of things at night move but nothing crazy

We had a great two nights here.

House is in a great location with views of Lake Tahoe from front deck. Road is a bit steep so you need chains or 4x4 to get up when snowy. Furnishings are a bit dated but all functional. The heating system does not heat the house evenly, hot living room, cold bedrooms in general. Very well stocked however.

it was nice to stay over there.
1. very good location, near the lake. convenient to get the main road.
2. quality of furnishings include TV/Internet/Fireplace/PlayCard/Kitchen/heater/safa-tables/coffee maker
3. Bedroom sizes are nice.
4. Decoration are very nice.

1. trash can was full when I reached there. no place to put anymore trash.
2. should be 3 bed rooms instead of 4 bed rooms.
3. only one shower. that will be great if there is one more shower upstairs.

Sleeps a large group or family. Nice location. Great for lake or ski trip.
Pierre-Luc V. Jun 2015
We had a great weekend stay in this lovely home. Great location, in a remote area but close to the lake, not far to Barker Pass which is the starting point of 2 great day-trip hiking trails! Thanks a lot! I'd definately recommend to my friends.
Reyna S. Apr 2015
We only had some problem with the water heater because it was off and water was extremely cold but we call management and they came to fix it as soon as possible
Lucy E. Apr 2015
We loved our stay at this cabin. It was clean and comfortable and in a perfect location. Some of the other reviewers commented that it needed to be updated, but I think if that happened it would be updated right out of our price range. We will definitely stay here again.
Beatrice D. Sep 2014
Good location. The house is OK. The price is proportionate to the level of comfort.
Pamela D. Aug 2014
We had some initial problems getting into the house, but the staff at Vacasa were very helpful. Would recommend that the electric fence on/off be placed in the house as well.
Manager response:
Thank you for the feedback, glad we were able to get you in the home so you could start your vacation!
Jennifer Q. Aug 2014
We had never rented a cabin in Tahoe so we didn't know what to expect for the price ranges... The pictures look great and sure enough the cabin is sweetly decorated, great beds, shower, and couches. Down sides - dark, mouse droppings and books that make people of other beliefs unwelcome. We had a good vacation but if you need clean and bright this sweet place won't be for you either. Vacasa rentals really took care of us when we had a key issue coming in late to check in. They were there for us and made it really easy! Thank you!
Manager response:
Thank you for this review. I am glad that you contacted us during your stay, and we were able to come out and clean the mouse droppings up. The joys of being in the country.
Lisa C. Jul 2014
It was a charming home with lots of beds in a great location and it was reasonably priced. I would recommend this house to a friend.
Stephan C. Jun 2014
This house could use some TLC. However, the price makes it a good deal. The downstairs shower only had either hot or cold water. House smelled a little funky. Still... had a great time! Great price.
Manager response:
Thank you for letting us know about the kitchen sink and downstairs shower, maintenance is working on getting these issues fixed. We are glad that it did not effect your overall enjoyment of the home.
