I absolutely loved the fact that our dog was able to join us on our trip to the beach. The distance from the beach made it even better. The only improvement needed is more paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags.

Fabulous location for spring migration, between Rollover Pass and High Island. Porches on two sides meant we could watch both sunrises and sunsets. House is large and pleasant. When we had one little glitch with the keyless entry, a locksmith came right away. We felt well taken care of!

We enjoyed our stay, the house was equipped with everything we needed, I liked each bedroom room having its own bath.

We had a great time in this vacation rental. My only feedback would be that there was very little cutlery available and a couple of the pots and pans we're unusable because they were dented and scratched on the bottom. Other than that the layout was great, the property was clean and the instructions were easy to understand and gain entry.

We had a really great time and truly enjoyed our stay at this home. The home is nice and convenient and the neighbors were friendly. Though, as much as I hate to point out negative things, I know it helps others to share about our experience. I do hope they will fix the porch soon. 2 kids got BIG splinters in their feet from hanging out on the porch without shoes on & some of the posts were falling down or had come out / were loose. The front & back doors were hard to open & keep shut and had some minor damage. We were also told we would be notified early if we could do early check-in, but didn't receive any communications regarding same. When I called to ask, we were told that we could not get in early. With our long drive, we got into town early and went by the house at 2 pm (just in case) and the house was empty and ready for our arrival. There weren't any trash bags, dish soap, laundry detergent, bleach or dryer sheets. So, we ran to the store & bought everything so we could keep up with dishes, trash & laundry while we were there. The cable also didn't work. When we called to inquire, we were told there must just be a bad signal & nothing could be done. The cable never worked the entire time we were there so we just used tablets at night. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we hope to book again sometime.
We apologize for the disappointments this guest encountered. The WiFi and TV issues were addressed after this guest's stay; we scheduled an appointment as quickly as possible, but they weren't available until after this guest's stay. We have followed-up with housekeeping about the cleanliness comments. Thanks!

This house fit our family's needs nicely! Three bedrooms each with their own bathroom gave everyone space. When we all came in from the beach ready for a shower, it was nice. Never ran out of hot water. The kitchen could have been better stocked. The pots and pans had seen better days, but we made it work. Easy to get to the beach just across Hwy 87. And we were the only ones on the beach! No crowds here, which we loved. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is your place.

Conveniently located 20 minutes from High Island birding hot spots. Kitchen was sufficiently equipped and the place was clean. Everything worked. Nice view of the surf from the living room and deck. Be aware, it’s two stories up to the front door.

Very nice home. Only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars are the moldy shower curtains. Good location, beautiful view, and great location for Bolivar Peninsula.

First of all, renting this house was not our first idea. We were supposed to be going to New Orleans for the weekend but hurricane Nate changed our plans. This house is beautiful, the views are were great and we couldn’t be happier that our plans had to change. We found the house online, called to reserve it with Misty in reservations (who was awesome by the way!) and were relaxing and enjoying the view within a few hours, no other site we’ve used has allowed same day check in. 6 adults stayed here with no issues, there is plenty of space with comfy beds. As awesome as the house is there are a few minor cons, there is no WiFi here, this house only has one tv, and there is no way of getting groceries or items up to the house other than to carry them up... three stories up. Yes, three stories, with heavy groceries. (We brought some rope and a bucket... just saying) overall we loved it and are already making plans to rent again.
