Peaceful, dog-friendly cottages w/ forest views & a firepit in a great location

From the blue skies of summer to the cool drizzle of fall, there's no wrong time to book this beautiful Whidbey Island vacation rental. Comprised of two separate cabins nestled at the base of a towering grove of evergreens, this one-acre property allows you to enjoy an air of seclusion while remaining just a few miles from the shops, restaurants, and festivals of downtown Coupeville.

This retreat is located on the edge of Fort Ebey State Park, whose dense forest and sweeping views of the San Juan Islands are perfect for an afternoon hike or bike ride. There's no shortage of stunning sights to take in, either. Deception Pass - the most-visted park in the state - is only 15 miles away. Pastoral beauty at Greenbank Farms and Whidbey Island Lavender Farm are both even closer. Penn Cove's famous mussels are only a half-mile from the home! After trekking through the Northwest's spectacular natural beauty, head into Coupeville to explore! You can wander through the town's Victorian-style neighborhoods, take a cruise out into the bay, or sample some freshly-caught seafood at one of its many world-class restaurants. Be sure to stop by the waterfront - alongside beautiful ocean sights, you can admire the historic sailing ship Suva moored at the waterfront. If you'd like a change of scenery, the Port Townsend Ferry is only a few minutes' drive from home.

Although just three-and-a-half miles away from town, the wooded surroundings make this property feel hours from civilization. The two cabins, each with a bed, make this the perfect solution for two couples or group of friends traveling together. The first is a one-bedroom home with a full kitchen and sitting room; the second is a smaller studio-style cottage. They share a scenic outdoor space with a gas grill and firepit, and cable and free WiFi are provided for your convenience! There's also a warming wood fireplace to keep you cozy.

Book yourself a Pacific Northwest getaway you'll remember for years to come. Make your reservation today!

The home and amenities were exactly as shown in the the photos. It was very comfortable. Our dogs loved the yard and the daily neigbor dog visits.

We enjoyed how this was centrally located - tons of state parks and hikes within a 5-6 minute drive. If you go, definitely visit Fort Casey, Fort Ebey and Fort Ebey Landing.

The only issue was the low number of basic supplies for a 5 night stay for a family of 3. We found only 1.5 rolls of TP and two dishwasher pods. We would have called HK but considering the current happenings, we just went to the nearby Safeway.

This little home was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs who loved roaming the backyard. There is a sweet couple of rocking chairs on the back porch and an extra cottage (bedroom only, no bath) for extra guests who might want to join for a night. The place is not big enough for more than 2 people to spread out comfortably for longer stays. But it was a nice, cozy respite for us! Some road noise and overhead plane noise that is expected on Whidbey but nothing that detracted from our relaxing stay here!

Really enjoyed the setting, extra cabin out back, which girls loved. Clean, had plenty linen, towels, appliances were great. Just a nice place to stay

Such a cute little cottage! We had fires in the fire pit every night followed by sunset at Libby Beach right down the road. My girls loved having their own hang out space in the separate cottage. We will be back!

This little home was great for a weekend getaway. It rained most of the weekend, and we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor setup. But we made use of the kitchen and living room. Note that for more than about 3 people, the living room furniture is limited. We had to get creative with cushions and chairs. But it was quiet, homey, and good for 2 couples to have some time away.

I stayed here with my kids. The small cottage in the yard was perfect for the kids. The fire pit was great for hot dogs and marshmallow roasting. The backyard gardens and flowers were gorgeous! The main cottage has everything we needed. We definitely plan on staying again.

This property has been remodeled and looks nice. They have thought of a lot of things and offer helpful items for your stay. The kitchen has everything you'll need.
The claw foot tub shower would be challenging to get in and out of if you have any balance issues or physical ailments in legs or hips. It's pretty to look at, but not super practical.

This was my second time at this charming little house. I will be back!

Gorgeous cottages, well appointed kitchen, easy wifi. Bring your own oven mitts if you are cooking anything from frozen, and a non slip bath mat for the very curvy tub.

This is a wonderful cottage and everything one might need is provided. I chose it for the bathtub actually and I'm so glad I did. It was such a pleasure to stay here.

The property is very cute with well maintained landscaping. It's a good distance from neighbors so it has a secluded and peaceful feel to it.

I would not stay there again with 4-people because the 2nd cottage is an insulated shed. As long as you are in the main house, the place is great but the shed wasn't what I expected from the pictures.

Otherwise, the hosts and property managers were helpful and check in/check out went smoothly.
Manager response:
Hi Rachel, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the second cottage not meeting your expectations. We hope you'll stay with us again!

The Cottage Collection in Coupeville is a wonderful location from which to explore Coupeville, Oak Harbor and all of Whidbey Island. The home is comfortable, clean and inviting. The garden area is one of our favorite places to spend the evening.
This was our second stay at the Cottage and it was just as great the second time. Thank you.

It was the two of us for about a week and we loved every bit of our experience on Whidbey. The hub and highlight of the trip was this little gem you are looking at. The cottage is clean, cozy, and bright. The light was amazing, from every angle of the land. The backyard is a beauty. Have a picnic in the back yard or just take a nap. And yes, the Birds! So many songs be a singing on this plot. Do it!

We loved the decor and it was really, really comfortable. One word of warning - the second bed is in a separate outbuilding so if you need to "go" in the middle of the night be prepared for a trek across the yard. We were fine and truly enjoyed our stay.

I loved how clean and well-appointed this cottage was. We slept in the cabin out back and it was perfectly comfortable. Have to admit, I ate a few of the ripe raspberries growing nearby.

I did not know that we would have the whole house, charming yard and pretty out buildings.

Just a very quiet and peaceful setting and came with everything you could need. Definitely coming back!!!!

The stay was very nice and peaceful. We had what we needed. Although the mattress was horrible. We both had horrible back pain. Wouldn’t stay again for that reason.

very nice place, the only complaint would be the shower being in a clawfoot tub.... difficult to get in and out of and no place to put the soap and shampoo. But, a very comfortable place.
