Private setting. Good for 2 couples to share. Basically a masterbedroom on ground floor and masterbedroom on 3rd floor. Beds are a little wore out. TV in masterbedroom with no way ti change the channel. Other then that, is is very nice and clean. Looks recently remodeled.
Hi Steve, thank you for staying with Vacasa! We appreciate your feedback regarding the home and I have passed this information along to the local management so they may review and update the home as needed. We look forward to having you stay with us in the future!

We love this cabin. Very clean with only a short drive to the lake. my only concerns with the home are if you have older people in your group or people with limited mobility there's no way to get into the house without climbing lots of stairs. You can enter through the garage into a bottom room that has a separate kitchenette area and bathroom. However the stairs getting to the main floor from that room are not user-friendly. But if tiny high steps are not a concern this is a wonderful place to stay. All the dishes and utensils and cooking pans are provided which makes it very nice.

The cabin, (three story lodge) is open, modern and well kept. There is plenty of space for everyone. It is located in a quiet, close neighborhood. Easy access to Shaver town and lake.

The whole cabin was spotless and ready for us. The room on the bottom floor gets a bit cold, but everything was fantastic otherwise.

Loved the private location, still close to town and the lake. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms were great.

Great place three bedrooms and bathrooms give privacy and plenty of space. Stairs could be difficult for elderly.

Love love this place! Second time there and we will be back!

This house is well-maintained and comfortable. Kids loved the pool table, parents loved the separation of the master bedroom on the second floor. We cooked all of our meals and the kitchen was well-stocked with equipment. It snowed during our stay and the driveway was plowed before we even got out of bed. Very nice!

Great location. Loved everything about the cabin except for the staircases. My entire group enjoyed our stay.

My family and I loved the place. We all love the peace that you feel there, it’s so beautiful. The inside is just wonderful, has everything you could need. It’s so spacious, so cozy that it will make you come back.

Such a perfect place. Lots of space and such a beautiful home....such creativness spread throughout the home makes it unique in it's own fashion

The house is very nice and spacious and is in a great condition. A few things to note: bedrooms are at three different levels that add some privacy and space, but the stairs may be rather steep for elders or little ones. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with a convenience store just a few minutes away (driving). One small disappointment: the lake is only 2 miles away but there were no nice hiking trails from the house (at least, we did not find any) so the best option was to drive there.

This is a beautiful home privately nestled among the beautiful trees. Plenty of room for us with our dog. I say ALMOST perfect because the stairs going down to the private room (which is SUPER nice although the stove is out of order which we didn't need) are steep, narrow and scary to navigate. They are oddly shaped and could use a second hand rail with the current design. However, it's easy to go out the garage and use the more "user friendly" stairs going to the front door.
We were there the end of August and the temperatures outside reached 81 degrees. The house doesn't have, or need, air conditioning but it would have been nice to be able to open the main floor windows. It seems that they have ALL been disabled or broken for some reason. With that, we tried to leave the front door open for air. Well, it seems ALL of Shasta Lake has a lot of wasps and here was no exception. With the door open, in came the wasps. My boy was stung 3-times and my girl (both 11) was stung twice. We have no allergies so it was no big deal other than annoying. I would suggest a screen door on the front since the windows don't operate.
Other than that, we loved everything else about this house. It was very clean and well maintained (although housekeeping forgot to put the essentials in the bathroom on the main floor i.e., soap, toilet paper and shampoo). TONS of bath towels which was fantastic. Kitchen was stocked nicely and the bbq grill worked great. The TV's worked great with lots of viewing options. WIFI was no problem either. Poor cell reception but that was to be expected and not a problem as we WERE on vacation :-) We most likely would stay here again.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary with a group of friends. Its a nice cabin with nice rooms. Issues we had where internet wasn't working the first day, and unfortunately I needed to get some work done. I always look for a place with a pool table , unfortunately the table they have seems to be old. Some of the balls have cracks and the table felt, felt really old and balls wouldn't roll very far. Another issue is the staircase to go upstairs is right next to the table and if your not paying attention, as I learned can walk right into the metal stair. Also wish there was a home phone , since cell reception was not very good, at least for us. The staircase to go down to the bottom room has a very steep staircase and what felt like a not so stable hand railing. There is no AC so we had to open windows, which isn't a problem but some windows wont stay up . So we had to go outside and find some sticks to get it to stay open.
We appreciate receiving this feedback. This is a total dead zone for cell service, so we are adding a home phone, and we will make sure the WiFi is working effectively as well. The home is not advertised as having air conditioning, and we will make sure the windows stay open. Thanks!
Loved our stay but would not take anyone elderly due to steep stairs l.

Had a great time at mountain paradise. Lovely home in a great location. Loved all the trails around the property to take the dogs out on nice walks. We hope to come back when there will be some snow. Would have liked there to be window coverings on the doors in the bedrooms and the downstairs apartment is freezing. Not much heat gets down there.

We LOVED staying in Mountain Paradise! Pros: Beautiful living room with plenty of couch space for a large group of people, great pool table, awesome country pellet stove which added to the whole cozy feeling of staying warm inside as we watched the snow coming down outside through the windows, three total bathrooms all with showers, great fully furnished kitchen and I could go on. Cons: The only con I can think to list is the fact that my 80 year old father was staying in the mini suite pictured as part of this location. When we arrived, we discovered that the only way for him to get up into the main living space from the suite was up a very dangerous set of stairs (clearly added after photos of the property were posted to the website and definitely not made for young kids or anybody elderly for safety reasons. I would definitely recommend adding a second hand railing so that there is not an open side to this staircase where one might slip and fall off the stairs altogether) or he would have to open the garage door and go all the way around the front of the property and through the front door. We were able make this work so that it didn't affect our stay and we had a fantastic time! Overall, we love the area and loved staying in Mountain Paradise as well! We look forward to returning!
