This place is great for a close group of friends, or two/three families with kids. It sleeps 16 people, but 6 of these would be sharing a room (two full beds and a bunk bed-this room would best be suited for children), and 2 more would be next door in a room that is only separated from the bunk room with a partition that doesn't go all the way to the ceiling - this doesn't leave any privacy between rooms. Another room adjacent to the bunk/partitioned room, sleeps 2 (queen) however you have to walk through this room to access the living area (there is also a stairs through the garage to access the partitioned rooms, if people are still sleeping in the queen bed). There is three private rooms: two kings (one upstairs, one downstairs) and a room with two full beds (downstairs). The downstairs 2xfull bed room is directly adjacent to the living room.

There are three bathrooms - an en suite in the downstairs king bedroom, one adjacent to the living room (downstairs) and one upstairs adjacent to the partitioned rooms. These three bathrooms were plenty for our group of 14.

The living area and back yard (complete with fire pit and hot tub) are great for hanging out. There is ample parking in the 3 car garage, driveway or the pull in lot beside the property. Firewood is provided for the fire pit/ fireplace.

The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, pots, pans, plates/dishes. There is a dishwasher too.

All other amenities are excellent. It's a short (5min) drive to Long Trail Brewery, 10 minute drive to Bridgewater, and about 15 minutes to the Skyship gondola at Killington or Woodstock town.

In summary: I would recommend this place to a group of friends who are well acquainted, or two/three families with several children. The proximity to Killington for the price make it a great deal.

I stayed at this cozy cabin with a group of 10 friends for the weekend and we loved it. The house has everything you need, and is tucked back down a dirt road so it is secluded, quiet, and in a beautiful setting. Only 3 miles from Long Trail and 20 minutes from Killington. It was the perfect spot for what we were looking for. Would definitely stay again!!

Although the house could’ve been a bit cleaner and the stove needs some work, it was a great place for us to stay with a lot of people. We have eight adults and three children with plenty of room. I wish the deadbolt on the front door worked. The dirt road gets a little dicey in warm weather while the snow is melting. The area has a lot to offer including Woodstock, the Long Trail Brewery, and even the opportunity for a sleigh ride not too far away.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see there were some disappointments during this visit. The stove has all parts present and is functioning correctly; we apologize if it was acting up for this guest and wish they had contacted us so we could have inspected it at the time. The wood door does expand and contract with various weather conditions which can make the lock tricky. This is one reason the owner has requested guests use the garage as the primary entrance for the property. Thank you!

A beautiful log cabin off the beaten path in Vermont. Close to Killington and other mountains to ski/snowboard etc. Long Trail Brewery is right down the road. We went there 3 times during our visit! It was a beautiful home and everything was in working condition as advertised.

Our group of friends has always dreamed of planning a NYE getaway in a log cabin and this property didn't disappoint. The space was spacious enough to accommodate our group of twelve, and we found the location to be secluded - while still being close enough to cute shops in Woodstock and skiing in Killington.

Overall we were happy with the cleanliness and location of the property and look forward to visiting again the future.
