We really enjoyed our time at Ventana Greens. This unit was perfectly locate at the north side of the Ventana Greens complex...nothing behind us but the desert and the north Tucson mountains...beautiful! The location in North East Tucson is perfect for access to Sabino Canyon and other Tucson attractions and only about 20 minutes to downtown.
The unit is comfortable with a small but well appointed kitchen, large dining table, comfortable living room (tiny TV though...come on owners, spring for something bigger than 32 inch). Bedrooms are pretty good. Twin beds pushed together in both rooms to make king beds. Not the greatest beds but passable. The unit is a bit dated (carpets that are well past due being replaced). The back deck is ground level and, although small, is a great place for a coffee in the morning overlooking the mountains. Grounds are really nice - right up against Ventana golf course. Pools are in good shape and the fitness center was well appointed (two treadmills, stepper, two recumbent bikes, free weights, rowing machine) and clean. Now to the "but..." When we arrived the unit had not been cleaned. Beds were unmade, dirty dishes in the sink, toilets a mess. It was really discouraging to walk into a place that had not been cleaned. I contacted Vacasa and they moved pretty quickly to get cleaners in and get it spruced up but it delayed our check in by about 4 hours (well past the 4pm check in time). I get that mistakes can occur but this isn't the only review where cleanliness was an issue. Additionally there were no hangars, an only a couple of coffee mugs and a few other things missing. Again Vacasa moved quickly to rectify these gaps and after they were done with their clean and restock we were able to check in and enjoyed the rest of our 10 days at this unit. So, lots to like about this location but some pretty fixable things that Vacasa and the owners need to get their act together on.

The location and unit layout was fine. However it was obvious that those responsible for inspecting the unit before a new renter arrives did not do their job. Here are a few of the things that needed attention.

The carpet was filthy, there were an abundance of stains and spilled food in the entry and dining area. In addition the carpet was stretched out of shape and needed re-stretching. There were at least three places where it had buckled to to the point that it could cause one to trip. When we looked under the pillows on the sofa there was an abundance of crumbs and other trash that had slipped between the pillows over time that needed a good vacuuming. The coffee pot was heavily stained and disgusting. Finally there was an ottoman in the living room that was ripped and shredded and not suitable in any kind of rental unit.
Some one was not paying attention.
After we raised our objections with the management company all our issues were addressed in the next 24 hours. They sent over a new coffee pot that evening so we would have it in the morning. The the next day the carpets in the whole unit were re-stretched and steam cleaned, and the unit was cleaned to our satisfaction.

After that our stay was very pleasant and we found the unit to be very satisfactory.

Really nothing except location.
Cheap everyting, dirty pots, dirty windows, dirty sock from someone else on floor of master bedroom. Dirty windows. Shower in master bathroom does not eork. Handle in guest bathroom loose and hardly working.
