Lovely home w/ private deck & lake/mountain views - walk to golf, beach & town!

Enjoy views of Lake Tahoe, snow-capped mountains, and the evergreen forests of Tahoe City at this three-bedroom home, a welcoming Sierra escape with a wonderfully private deck, a gas fireplace and wood-burning stove, and an enviable location within steps of the lakeshore, golf course, and downtown.

This inviting home sits among the trees on the western edge of the Tahoe City Golf Course, where you'll find a long, private driveway with ample off-street parking. Walk less than half a mile to shop in downtown Tahoe City, tee off at the golf course, and swim and sunbathe at Commons Beach; come wintertime, you'll be just seven miles north of Homewood Mountain Resort and eight miles east of Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley Resort.

The living space is up on the second floor, offering views of Lake Tahoe from nearly every room and an open floor plan that allows easy mingling. Wake up each morning to light the gas fireplace or the wood-burning stove, use the free WiFi to read the morning paper, and brew fresh espresso in the remodeled kitchen with marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a dishwasher.

Spend the summer reading outside on the expansive private deck, lighting the gas grill for al fresco lunches, and playing games of frisbee golf in the yard. Back inside, you can set up board games on the coffee table; challenge your kids to a tournament of Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3; and sit down for a slow-cooked meal at the dining room table. After dinner, as the day's clothes spin in the washer/dryer, you can curl up on the sofas for a night of DVD, Blu-ray, and cable favorites on the TV.

Discover an abundance of family fun within steps of Lake Tahoe's shores - begin planning your Tahoe City vacation today! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

Lovely cosy home on a quiet road, and walking distance to town. The only small issue was heating system; it is quite loud and woke up (he thought it was a little scary) our little boy throughout the night. Husband to the rescue slept on the bottom bunk for our entire stay

Location was 10/10 and the house was overall comfortable. Kitchen and bbq were nice. Master bedroom suite was great.

Negatives: Dishwasher sounded like a train and the downstairs carpet had lots of stains. Kitchen is right above the downstairs bedrooms and every noise could be heard. Downstairs queen bed was tiny and creaky.

Leaving five stars since it was still a great value.
Manager response:
Scott, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay! We value your feedback, and please know that local staff is available to assist with anything you need during your stay. We will be sure to pass your comments about the dishwasher to the local manager. We look forward to hosting you next time!

This was a cozy home, very comfortable for a group of 5 adults. The deck was a wonderful spot to hang out, private and secluded with a beautiful view of woods, and the lake in the distance. House had everything we needed. Short walk to restaurants and the lake. Would definitely return!

We like the multiple rooms, the gas fireplace and the updated kitchen.

This is a nice home and convenient location to town. The photos have been brightened. I expected a sunnier space, based on the photos but the interior of the house is much darker until you turn lights on. I believe the owners could put a little more TLC into the property and may need to supervise the cleaning staff a bit more, but it's a typical comfy Tahoe vibe and the view from the top deck gives you a nice view of the lake!

Loved the gas fire place and rustic character with a great view of the lake!
