The home is not bad at all. I love that is pet-friendly! My dogs loved that there was carpet all over the place so they can run around without sliding (have hardwood floors at home). I recommend this home be used in Fall or Winter. There is pretty much no A/C, so when we went in Mid-August we had all windows open and all fans going. The cooler nights and cooler days sure helped keeping it cool enough in the house. There seem to be heaters in the house so that's why I said maybe winter be great. Getting to the house wasn't too bad thanks to other reviews. You have to drive through the parking lot of Bill's Marine Service, turn right at the end of the parking lot, go down a gravel road (watch for potholes), and there you are. I did like that it was secluded, had a pretty view, and close to a lot of things to do(eat/fun).
We had issues with the elock but after 30 minutes and playing around with it we figured out you must press the lock in the bottom left corner, which then the numbers show up after a chime. No issues after that once we figured it out. Might sound like I am nitpicking but wanted to make sure anyone that reads my review knows how to get there AND be able to get in the house if they decide to rent.
I would stay here again!

Very nice, spacious and clean house. Secluded enough from the neighbors, with a great view of the lake. Would definitely book this place again.

It's bare minimum. No AC. Good for hunting group or bachelor party.

This house fit the bill since it it allowed us to bring our dogs and have access to a boat slip. The inside is dated but was very clean. Plenty of televisions and fans with each room having their own. No major issues with the house and the local manager was very helpful and responsive with any questions I had. The location is very convenient to restaurants and stores. The foosball table was a fun addition with four teens in the house.
Not so good: The beds were covered in plastic under the sheets which made for a noisy and not the most comfortable night's sleep. I loved all the windows on the side of the house. However, I would suggest having the upstairs windows cleaned, or simply brushed off every once and awhile, as a lot of them were covered in bug and carcass filled spider webs. (Thankfully no spiders in the house though). Garrett Highway was very busy and I would not have felt comfortable parking on the shoulder as there's not a ton of room so we walked to the slip each day. There's somewhat of a rough path down the steep wooded hillside leading to the road, which was slippery due to all the rain. You then had to cross the busy highway and over the guard rail to the slip. But the slip was great!
FYI: You have to drive into Bill's Marine Service, turn right all the way up at the top of their parking lot and onto the dirt road that leads to the house. The area is not the most ideal location to have to park your truck and boat trailer but it is manageable.
Manager response:
We do have the plastic on the sheets for sanitary purposes and apologize if this guest experienced discomfort due to that precaution. The windows have been cleaned, and we are looking into possible solutions for the slick path. Thank you!

Personally I would do a walk through with the owner upon arrival make sure everything works before he leaves. There was something's that did not work and made the stay unconformable.
