Home w/river access, close to beach plus deck & shared seasonal pool

Life is a beach when you stay at this Waldport vacation rental! This three-bedroom, two-bath home, located in the Bayshore Beach Club community, offers easy access to Alsea River to the east and the sandy beaches to the west - along with a seasonal community swimming pool

Beach access is across a foot path over the canal and is about 1 1/2 blocks away. Grab the sand pail, your big straw beach hat, and a picnic lunch, because you'll be spending the day soaking up the sun and swimming with the fish along the Pacific Coast. Waldport is also a popular place for fishing, flying kites, or gathering seashells and other beach treasures. For those beach-goers who prefer a more laid back atmosphere, but enjoy being near great attractions like the Oregon Coast Aquarium or Rogue Brewery, Waldport is the perfect spot.

You, Me and the Sea has the same laid-back atmosphere as the town itself. You will settle right into the living room, complete with funky beach decor, a comfortable sofa, and a flatscreen television with cable and a DVD player. Grab the popcorn and some chocolate-covered peanuts for a cozy night in after a long day on the beach.

Perpendicular to the living room is a cute little dining room featuring a spacious table suitable for six to seven people. This room also has sliding glass doors leading out onto the deck where you can continue chatting into the evening hours with a glass of wine or a frosty mug of summer shandy.

Cooking meals every night will be fun in this open kitchen. It has all the tools you will need to cook up anything from a vegetable lasagna to homemade fish and chips. Here, you'll find a full-sized stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, and a plethora of handy utensils. With a view right into the dining room, the chef can still feel like a part of the group.

This home has three bedrooms and two full baths, and can accommodate up to seven guests in comfort. The master bedroom is bright and airy and has a queen-size bed and a master bath with a shower. The second bedroom has another queen-size bed and a big picture window, so you can wake up with the sun each morning. The third bedroom is the perfect place for the kids to hang out and play games until the wee morning hours (if, of course, they're quiet!). This room has a twin bed, plus a twin-over-futon bunk bed. There is also a second bathroom with a tub and shower combo.

Though, even the young ones may be tired after a long day of outdoor activities! Not only will you be able to play on the beach, you'll also have access to the community seasonal swimming pool, available for a daily fee and open roughly from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Three adult-size bikes are offered for riding. Bring your own helmets! For those rainy days, the garage has a a second TV (no cable for this one) with a DVD player for movies.

This watery wonderland offers more than just the beach. Waldport is just 15 miles south of the popular town of Newport, where you can visit the touristy harbor featuring restaurants, cafes, pubs, and shops. Or you can head 15 miles south to the much smaller Yachats for supremely uncrowded beaches, tidepools, and whale watching. This house is centrally located so you can see a lot in just a short trip, yet still feel relaxed and away from it all.

The sea is beckoning, so don't wait to book this charming Central Oregon Coast vacation rental!

This was a cozy house for a family of 5, there was room for more! Just a few minutes from the beach, shopping and dining. Our only complaint would be the beds, they were really uncomfortable as they were old and in need of being replaced. I was anticipating sleeping in a bit because we were on vacation, but I was up around 6:00 every morning because my body could not handle laying in the bed any longer. The bunk bed structure could probably use some tightening up as my daughter started to climb in the top bunk and she felt it was too wobbly. The matress on the lower bunk has a clear sagging spot, don't know how anyone could not roll out of that bed unless they were right up against the wall.
Manager response:
Thank you for your feedback. We will address this with the local staff. We look forward to hosting you again soon!

Roomy home in a quiet peaceful community. As shown in the pictures, it's dated, but clean and comfortable and comes with lots of added recreational activities. The ocean beach access is about a 10 minute walk and the bay beach access is about 1/2 that. The community seems a little unfriendly in their communications and the pool is only available with an additional fee, which was disappointing. All in all, a nice place to relax for a few days.

We had a great time exploring the area and playing on the beach.

Pros: The modest house was fine, especially the kitchen which was well equipped and I appreciated the the natural soaps and generous amount of supplies and products. The dining area is a bit cramped. Beds were comfortable, except the lower bunk had a soft side that our 11 year old rolled out of a couple times in the night. The directions and on-site instructions were clear. And we loved the opportunity extend our check out time. Cons: We couldn't get the TV in the living room to work-not really a con but the kids missed it. A good experience overall.
Manager response:
We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We want to remind guests that they can call our 24/7 Guest Services line to give us an opportunity to resolve any issues during their stay. We hope to host you again soon!

This is the second time we've rented this house. It has everything we need while we're on the coast. Kid friendly, quiet neighborhood, the neighbors are friendly, the kitchen is well stocked and we love having a BBQ to use. The master bed isn't great, (it's small and extremely hard), but the kids all slept comfortably.

The kitchen was roomy and easy to cook in. The shallow water behind the house allowed our kids to play safely for hours close by. We had a great time with 3 adults and 4 kids.

View of the river was great!

We stayed in this home for 3 weeks due to forest fire smoke problems in Central Oregon. Thank you for the relaxing comfort of your place. I loved that the deck backed up to the canal leading to the ocean. We loved sitting out on the deck, watching the tide roll in and out each day. Watching the big beautiful heron who visited the canal, as well as other birds.
Suggested improvements: put an actual door on the doorway from the master bedroom to the master bath. A curtain just does not give enough privacy. And a few more saucepans would have helped us with cooking.
But overall, we appreciated our stay and were glad to have found your home.

We absolutely loved the house! It’s spacious, clean, functional and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you might think of for cooking, every pan, utensil and dish imaginable. The rec room in the garage was a highlight for our kids and it also had crabbing cage and tubes and buckets for clamming. I can’t say enough good things about our experience

Such a convenient location. Close to town, and beaches. Easy check in/out. Clean house, quiet neighborhood, and what we love most...kitchen had everything we needed.

This was a very nice place. We loved the cul-de-sac location and the deck. We were surprised that in the heart of summer (late August) when air con was a necessity in most of the northwest, it was foggy and downright cold here. I think many people would love that, but it was not for us. We actually left a day early and it warmed up 15 degrees (from 71 to 86) just going toward I-5. But again, most visitors would probably know this.

Our one complaint with the property is the TVs were super tiny with no HDMI cable. Just be aware of this and don't plan to bring any devices for kids unless you have a composite or RV cable. There were VCRs though. This was unfortunate for us, because due to the fog & cold we were in a lot.

The pool cost $75/week for 5 people and was definitely worth it as it was sheltered from the wind. There is not much beachcombing compared to other NW beaches, but it is very sandy and it was fun to build mini-canals between the tidepools. The sandy areas can be comfortably warm, back and off the beach. We thought the kids might play in the stream off the deck, but it was very muddy and they didn't find it appealing so never did.

Overall, a very nice place. Dad would go back with his Northwest and Swedish background, but Mom would not since she is from the tropics. Well worth it is you are excited about the beach and don't mind the wind though.

Great location very quiet. Quick access to the beach and other activities. Home had great amenities for a family! It was very homey and loved the layout!

Quiet house, close to Waldport and charming Yachats.
Mike H. Jul 2017
This beach house is close to the ocean and adjacent to a tidal slough. Very pleasant to hear the ocean and the seabirds when you awaken. The home is very close to amazing hiking trails with views of the rugged coast.
MARGARET C. Jul 2017
This home does not look impressive from outside but is beautiful inside...high quality furnishings, dishes etc...lots of beachy touches without being tacky
Lisa L. May 2017
This is a very quiet, quaint beach cottage, well maintained, nice and clean, and tastefully decorated. Very homey feel, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay!
Tenna W. Apr 2017
The stay was pleasant, the view was nice. No coffee grinder (said there was one in the details), the garage door wouldn't open so we couldn't ride the bikes and the Air Hockey table didn't work but it was a nice place
Manager response:
A coffee grinder has been placed in the home, the air hockey table has been serviced, and the garage door is being repaired. We apologize for the inconveniences these items may have caused our guests. Thanks!

This was an awesome beach house. Has lots to do to keep you busy having a good time. There's a fooseball table, air hockey table, bikes and scooters, the porch is a great spot to have your meals and finish off the night looking at the stars. Beach is pretty close, about 8 min walking distance. The beach is also more private. Not crowded at all. Friendly neighbors also.
Rebecca V. Aug 2016
My family and I stayed here for a family vacation. We had a wonderful time and the house was perfect. The only possible set back was the location away from the beach which was about a ten minute walk. Other than that the house was cozy, comfortable, and clean! We enjoyed our stay very much!
Jens R. Jul 2016
The house is perfect for a short getaway near the beach for up to 7 people. Beach is within walking distance and despite the description, there is actually a second, shorter way to get to the beach closer towards the river. Anyhow, the house, especially the kitchen has everything you need. It is well maintained and in a very quiet spot. Our kids loved playing air hockey and foosball, too. Thanks for sharing this us with us.
Vicki M. Jul 2016
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was loaded with everything we could possibly need and more. We had plenty of space and there was 7 of us! Thanks for sharing your home.
Teresa B. May 2016
Our trip for a relatives wedding surprising turned into a wonderful romantic time. Our guests were not able to join us so we ended up enjoying the house all to ourselves. The weather was beautiful, sunny, no rain! It made our trip even more special. I love the cozy home like feeling in the house and highly recommend anyone with a family to stay here.
Tony S. Mar 2016
The property was well decorated and perfect to recoup after our mini adventures in Waldport and surrounding areas. A prior guest left a stinky bucket in the garage which made the games difficult to enjoy. The town of Waldport was quiet and friendly. We had a great stay.
Amy C. Mar 2016
Our family wanted to spend a few days away from it all. This house served that purpose. The kids enjoyed digging up clams in the canal and we had fun playing board games while it was rainy.
Deborah P. Sep 2015
During the course of our three day stay, the house entertained my family to perfection.
The games in the garage thrilled the kiddos, as did the children's games in the living room.

The decor was also gorgeous.
I only regret not signing the guest book.
Gary W. Sep 2015
A nice comfortable house...just my son and myself on this trip so the house was really more than we needed but had a great stay. The house is well equipped, dishwasher not working but not that big of a deal with just the two of us. We were crabbing in the bay and fishing up the Alsea river..we had a great time.
Manager response:
Thanks for sharing your review. We have brought the dishwasher to our property managers attention and it should be fixed for future guests. We really appreciate your feedback and hope you come back soon!
Karl J. Aug 2015
The house is well maintained, and provides plenty of entertainment opportunities to satisfy adult and kid alike. My daughters loved playing air hockey and fooseball. The amenities make cooking your own food, doing laundry etc. easy. The house is close to many different beaches each unique. My family recommends a Seal rock beach at low tide. The location of the house makes for quiet nights with easy access to the shops, activities etc. of Newport in the day. Waldport is a small sleepy town, but does have good dining options. The next time we visit the Oregon coast we will be checking to see if the house is available again.
Adam L. Jul 2015
We had so much fun, at this wonderful place by the beach! Nice open kitchen layout, good sized bedrooms, and the garage with the foosball, air hockey, super comfy beach chairs and beach toys was perfect!
John M. Jul 2015
This property was very clean and very well appointed with extras.
Crystal C. Jun 2015
My family and myself had a wonderful time. Our children loved this house.
We will be more than happy to spend another family vacation.
Thank you,

Great family-friendly home! Many board games, kid-DVD's, game room in garage. Our young kids (ages 7,4,2) had a blast. Thanks for sharing your home
Lorna H. Jul 2014
My family of six had an amazing time in Waldport. We are a very active family and enjoyed the bikes, beaches, club house, game room/garage, hikes and museums. My two oldest rode the provided bikes to the beach. The BBQ was perfect for our outdoor dinners. The home was fantastic and very clean. The washer and dryer were useful. We usually are ready to go home after a vacation but this time everyone wanted to stay longer.
Teresa B. Jul 2014
Really enjoyed the beach house. The garage was converted into a kids room, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. Really liked the sky lights which allowed the natural lighting in. We hardly had to turn the lights on. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.
