Historic home with game room and backyard, close to the lake & downtown

Fall in love with Coeur d'Alene with this historic house, elegantly restored in 2012, as your home base! Once a steamboat captain's home, this rental's location is tough to beat - you're a few blocks from Tubbs Hill Natural Area, and just a little farther from the sparkling lake. Plus, the freestanding cottage in the backyard provides the perfect setting for shuffleboard, game nights, and hanging out.

Take the two bikes provided for you at this home, and set out on the bike trail that runs through City Park. Tubbs Hill is also a must-see, and lies just a short drive or walk from your stay. Its stunning views, trails, and swimming holes are one of the area's most beloved attractions. This rental isn't far from downtown's shops and restaurants, either.

This house features a fully equipped kitchen, and the door right off the kitchen leads to a spacious fenced yard. At the back of the yard, you'll find the game room, complete with a warm electric fireplace. This home has a private washer and dryer, as well as four cable TVs, a DVD player, and free WiFi. Feel free to park up to three cars in the driveway; alternately, there's room for a boat trailer.

Reserve your next Couer d'Alene vacation at this awesome home! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

You must be 21 years or older to rent this property.

Everything was as advertised. Very responsive when I had a question on keys. Comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. Perhaps 25 min to Silverwood and less than 5 min to waterfront park. Well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Thank you!

We were coming for a just a short stay to get away with some friends for a couple of days. The house was perfect for our little get away.
It's very close to downtown Coeur. and the house itself is great. A remodeled older house with beautiful Kitchen, large living room with comfy chairs, cute little nooks and most importantly for vacation rentals... very comfortable beds! The extra game room was blast as well, had so much fun play shuffleboard.
The check in and out process was a breeze. Can't think of anything I did not like about the house . Wish I could have stayed longer.

Enjoyed staying here. The house was clean and the kitchen was well supplied. The only complaint was the lack of toilet paper, but was at least it's an inexpensive purchase.
Manager response:
We are happy to see this guest enjoyed their stay! We provide a standardized starter pack of toiletries at the beginning of reservations. The starter pack is sufficient for most reservations.

We loved the location of this home. Short walk to the shops, dining, playground and lake. The owners did not miss anything - very clean, kitchen fully stocked, comfortable beds, and new appliances. The neighborhood was quiet and the fenced in backyard was perfect for the kids. This will be our first choice when back in the area!

My husband and I stayed here with another couple and their two young children (6 people total). The positive things are that the house is clean, the downstairs has central air conditioning, and there were lots of dishes and kitchen supplies that made it easy to cook dinners there. Also, it's well located near the park and shopping areas.

There are a couple of reasons that this is not a 5 star home in my opinion. First, there are security cameras (nest cams) in the house. One points out to the front walk and the other points out to the backyard. These cameras record audio so basically, the owner could hear everything we said inside the house the entire stay. I find that unsettling. Also, I didn't like the idea that we were being watched while we were in the backyard. I wish that the security cameras had been mentioned in the description as I would not have rented a house that didn't feel private.

Also, the bikes did not have a lock so we didn't end up using them and the living room tv didn't work so we had to call the maintenance guy to come by and fix it. Not a huge deal but it was an issue our first day.

One main issue is that the downstairs shower is tiny and the shower head is very low, so my husband and I had to crouch each time we used it. Not comfortable at all. The upstairs bathroom had to go to the kids since it was the only one with a bathtub. So it's not ideal situations for two couples to split the house and use separate bathrooms.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see this guest was not fully satisfied with their rental. The security cameras do not have any sound recording. There was a theft of expensive bikes from the back yard last year, so the owner added them purely for security purposes. If guests are uncomfortable with the cameras (that only record exterior activity), they can request they be unplugged for the duration of their stay. The owner has added new bike locks for the two guest bicycles and is looking into adding a new shower head setup in downstairs shower that would be higher than it currently is. Thanks!

This home is very clean and comfortable. With a few minutes walk, we can get to downtown and lake. The front door doorknob is a little hard to unlock.

Charming home with great location, plenty of room and great game room!

Only negative would be main floor shower. Barely enough room to fit in it as an average sized adult.

Close to everything downtown and the lake. Lovely home.
