We were delighted with the atmosphere at the home. I wasn't aware that the home had a microwave so maybe mention that in the accommodations section.
I love Yachats, and this hotel is central to everything. It's nothing special but it is comfortable, clean, relatively quiet and private, dog friendly, we all enjoyed our stay.
Everything was wonderful except...
There is no actual coffee maker (keurig, so don't bother bringing your freshly ground coffee).
There is no washer or dryer in Perpetua room as description somewhere said.
The horizontal blinds situation on the sliding door is awkward, have to open/close blinds from outside, no handle, so the blinds are damaged... otherwise leave your room and contents exposed.
Walls are super thin, heard every noise from the neighboring rooms, especially the middle aged women's Halloween party til 2am.
Hi, Carla! Thank you so much for staying with us and letting us know how your experience was. The blinds are good to go though it does help if the blinds are closed before the door is shut. The washer and dryer are onsite in the shared laundry room. Please do not hesitate to reach out about any guest not following the 'Good Neighbor' policy and causing disruptions during quiet hours. We hope to see you again!
This place had a
Few small issues but overall VaCasa was very responsive to any of our needs. Will stay again
The view. The room was very hot when we arrived, no ac. The comforter on the bed was too heavy, there were no options for lighter bedding. There was only 3 Kcups for the coffee maker. The next place over had a malfunctioning smoke alarm that went off continuously. The quality of this rental for the price was disappointing.?” They continue to charge very high fees and need multiple improvements to make it worth the price. Location isn’t always everything!
Than you for your review, Jill! We apologize the neighboring smoke alarm caused frustration during your stay. We encourage our in-home guests to call our 2 hour Guest Services line with any concerns so our local staff has an opportunity to promptly address them. We typically do not stock the homes with pantry items, such as spices and coffee and encourage our guests to bring their preferred items. We are glad you overall enjoyed your stay and we hope to host you again soon!
We stayed in the Perpetua room which had the most beautiful view. Room was very clean but a little stuffy, though they got a maintenance guy (Who didn’t wear a mask while in our room, which made me uncomfortable so I stayed out of the room while he was there) out the next day to fix the window so we could get a nice cross breeze. Across the street are multiple great food options. Tons of beautiful scenic nature locations nearby. They seemed to be staggering bookings so that side by side rentals were only for 1 night which we appreciated to help keep us safer during the ongoing pandemic. We will be back.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Cameron! We are glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay. We are sorry for the uncomfortable situation you experienced when our maintenance technician did not wear a mask while repairing the window. We will certainly follow up with our team to ensure that all of our staff wear gloves and face masks as required while they are working on a property. We look forward to hosting you again!
Loved the proximity to the beach and food options. Room was cozy but lacked some attention to detail that would have made the overall rating better.
Thank you for staying with us, Kristen. We are glad you enjoyed this location and we appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement. We will follow-up with our local team to address any areas of needed attention, and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!
Beautiful room with a beautiful view! Very cozy, and had a wonderfully comfortable bed. Perfect location, short walk to beach and the center of town. So happy we found this cute place, we look forward to coming back!
It was very clean and neat. Loved the location and the view. Definitely someplace we would stay again.
The room is cozy with a beautiful view of the ocean and downtown Yachats is literally steps away from the door.
We only stayed one night but we loved pretty much everything about this rental. Just enough space for the two of us and our small dog. Loved hearing the waves right outside the sliding glass door. Amazing view with blinds for privacy. Close to downtown shopping and eating. Will definitely stay again.
Loved this room! The outside has a shabby charm to it but inside its really cute and modern and clean. The front doors face the ocean for a great view. I can't wait for my next visit.
Views were perfect! Loved the room, nice and cozy. Walking distance to pretty much anywhere!!
Reasonably clean and comfy with great view and very short walking distance to our fave Yachats restaurants and beach.
Based on other reviews, I stayed in one of the units further off the highway and the highway noise wasn't an issue. The room was clean and had what I needed. It has a lot of western and southern exposure and got warm but cooled off okay when I had the front door and back window open to create a nice cross breeze. (You can't get that breeze without having the front door open, though, which was tougher at night when I still wanted fresh air but not the door open. This is only an issue when it's warm at the coast, though - so not that often!) There is a nice little shared deck out front. Easy parking. Worked great for my dog. We ate at the Luna Sea Food place across the street almost every meal (they have outside pet-friendly seating). Also a great rock shop pretty much across the street!
This is a great spot. Not fancy but really sweet, with a vintage dresser & desk. Lots of hot water for the shower! Pretty quiet, didn't notice any road noise although the kids in the two story room next to us did enjoy running up and down the stairs a little earlier than I would have preferred! Lol.
My only criticism is that I wish there was a little cabinet/counter next to the fridge so there was somewhere to put & prepare a little food. We figured it out but that would have been nice!
Gorgeous view out the windows & from the shared deck!
I loved the view of the room and how it was something different and we really enjoyed it even if we stayed one night it was still an awesome experience
The bed was comfortable, they have a mini fridge so you can buy food and store it, a coffee maker, and a microwave and Tv. the love seat is very comfortable. The room overall is quite comfortable.
The view is lovely from the room and outside on the patio.
We found the Perpetua suite to be charming: clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The ocean view from the deck and the windows is a big plus. Ocean Cove is conveniently located, a pleasant walk to dining, shops and the water. We hope to return.
Room was nice sized, with space to do some dancing and the buildings rooms are all one level so no noisy neighbors above or below. Far enough off the road that noise wasn't a problem. Bed was fresh and comfortable and bathroom was updated and clean.
The rustic furniture gives it character and you feel at home rather than a hotel room. Also the lovely deck facing water view is a big plus that makes this place worth a try!
Location in little known Yachats was wonderful and they had everything we needed and not too far from Newport which is wonderful too. Local scenery was fantastic and abundant with walks and small hikes and wonderful views. People were warm and welcoming.
We loved everything about this spot. Location, cleanliness, price, pet friendly... It was wonderful! We will be back and recommend to friends!
Loved how it was decorated. Super clean with a nice view.
This room was wonderful!! The view was magical and breathtaking. I can't wait to go back!
Just what I wanted. Everything walkable, easy access to beach, great room and view!
I absolutely loved this little place! It was the perfect size for a couple. They're were also people next door that brought their dogs, next time we may bring our fur baby. The deck has a stunning view of the ocean. Wow just wow. Yachats is a cute little town and has several great restaurants and shops. Toad hall being my favorite shop. You won't be disappointed with your stay. I would say it sleeps two adults comfortably and one small child on the couch but the couch doesn't have a pull out bed. I can't wait to come back!
This place was very close to town, you could walk to everything. Also very close to the water. Cute little town.
Perfect, central location with amazing views of Yachats river merging with the Pacific. Clean units with no hassle check-in.
Beautiful view from my room.! Quiet, comfortable and close to all the happenings in Yachats. Will be going back.
I was very impressed with the calm, sweet friendliness, compassion, and effort of phone reception and people cleaning up after our stay! I suspect Vacasa and the owners honorably support the staff to be that way. We need more of that in our world!
I've stayed at Ocean Cove Inn a few times, and it's always a pleasure. Easy to check in and out, close to everything in town, and sparkling clean.
The room was great. Simple, comfortable, clean acommodation. The deck was comfortable. I would do it again.
We have been staying at Ocean Cove Inn for many years. Always a delight to stay here.
The view is sweet, room clean and the walk is just out the door to town or the beach :)
Great place to stay! It had everything a traveler needs to stay comfortably right downtown. Good places to eat close, the beach across the street, and Yachats is close to it all. The room is good sized, has a couch, chair, desk, and micro/fridge. It’s a great place to stay after a hard day playing on the coast. The shared deck is great to make/meet new friends!
We enjoy being able to walk to the beach & to wonderful restaurants, and being able to look out beyond Hwy 101 to the bay and the breakers.
Location and cleanliness.
I liked the bed, the patio and loved the rocker and couch. I love to get cozy in the evening and read. The patio was nice. Best of all was the sound of the ocean with the patio door open and the window. I only wish there had been more plug ins for phones and camera charging. Perhaps adding a power strip would be a good idea.
The peaceful setting. The cleaning staff were so helpful when we arrived. We had an issue with the television both the cleaning staff and someone from the vacasa came right away to correct it. This was a wonderful vacation to relax.
Leave your car in the parking lot. Walk to all the activities Yachats has to offer. Very clean room. Bed was also very comfortable. A new deck is going in later this summer. Only niggly point, we were asked by passerbyers 6-7 times where the office was. We had to all of them, it’s all online. The property needs a large sign stating this, no management on site. People actually banged on our windows to ask us. Very annoying.
It was so close to Cape Perpetua and in the middle of a cute town. Next store their is a wonderful restaurant and grocery store was walking distance. We enjoyed a glass of wine with our neighbors that were very friendly on the porch looking at the ocean.
When booking, we asked for an early check in. We were coming from out of town for a wedding, and needed to have a little time to change and get ready for the event. We were told we’d get an email at 9:00 am the day of if an early check in was possible. We didn’t get the email so called. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes, we were informed if we didn’t get an email, then early check in wasn’t possible. We decided to get there about an hour early to see if things had changed. There was no one on site to talk to. We could see the room was empty, and clean from looking through the window. From our experience, both times we had to call them, we were on hold for 15 minutes. So calling to ask if we could go in wasn’t a great option. It was frustrating to not have staff on site. The room itself was really cute, with a decent view of the ocean. We were really surprised to find there was no soap, shampoo, body soap ... nothing at all provided. We had to go to the store and buy some hand soap. The bed was HORRIBLE. Very uncomfortable, with the worst night sleep ever! We actually considered packing up and heading home at 5:30 in the morning. The boards on the deck directly outside the door appeared to have some dry rot. I’m not a contractor or wood specialist, but they bounced a lot when you stepped on them. They felt weak. We avoided stepping on them.
The deck is being worked on. Housekeeping is on-site from 11-4, and we have asked they be sure to provide soap. Thank you!
Some say that check in or getting the key was difficult. I found it very easy and knew out of the gate that there would be no staff on site. The room was adorable and very, very clean. Yes the outside deck is a bit weathered but what does one expect when the property is subject to daily mist and the usual wears and tears of the salt air. I was very pleased with the accommodations and if in Yachats again, would definitely stay again.
The room was very nice. But we had issue with bathroom door that wouldn't close. There is no one in the building to provide immediate assistance.
The bathroom door has been adjusted so it is now closing properly. We do have someone onsite from 11am - 4pm, and we have posted numbers for guests that need assistance after hours. Thank you!
We did the hwy 101 from WA to San Francisco. Great place to stay. Resturants near by and can walk to a beach
Clean convenient easy booking etc Nice to have micro and frig
The location near a beach in a small village is excellent! Beautiful rooms with nice deck sitting areas. Very clean facility but no staff on site except occasional staff cleaning/supplying rooms. Mgr available by phone only. Close to beach and a few very nice restaurants. Loved the ability to kick back and relax.
Yachats is a gem and this place was great. Just like it advertised, one really nice room across the street from the beach. Easy access to the place, everything working and clean. Thanks
Thank you for helping us make tthe booking. We arrived in Yachats with a flip phone and no booking.
Comfortable quaint room with everything you need. Great walks to beach and many interesting trails to explore.
This was one hell of a romantic experiance. Clean, Cute, and cozy. Took my Girlfriend here for a romantic getaway and Romantic it was! You can sit on the bed with the curtains open and view the beach as you nap. There is a cute little market that is close to this place, and the beach is an easy walk. Would recommend, no drama, no problems, all good vibes.
My husband and I needed a quiet weekend escape and this was the perfect place. Room was clean and welcoming. We could see the ocean from the room and it was a short walk to the State Park where we could explore numerous tidal pools.
close proximity to everything and I could bring my dogs.
Close to restaurants, trails, and the beach. Ideal location with views!
Very cute and cozy. Great option for the price.. Yachats is also a very cute town. My only negative is that I would have liked to be right on the water, but it was very convenient being right in town.
Nice view of the ocean.
Clean and comfortable.
Did not care for the barking dog in the next room.
Charming and very clean room, great view and location for walking anywhere in town.
Spent a week in Yachats and had the pleasure of staying at Ocean Cove Inn. The rooms were very warm and welcoming. Super cozy. Awesome view of the ocean. The Inn was located within short walking distance to everything. Absolutely thrilled with our accommodations and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
We love this little motel. It sits right in the center of Yachats, walk to everything. We loved waking up in the morning, drinking our coffee on the deck watching the tide roll out. The view from the upper deck it wonderful. The rooms are simple and perfect for a couple. We had everything we needed. This is just a lovely area with so much to do, and we found everyone so friendly. We cant wait to come back.
My boyfriend and I planned this time to getaway as it was very much needed as My BFF is getting married and I just threw the biggest most greatest bridal shower/bachelorette party of all on the Saturday before, so we left Sunday (both took off Mon and Tue). We drove from about 3 hours away and when we got there the Key was not in the box and there was no one available in the office as it was closed, so I called Vacasa and the customer service person was much helpful and was able to get a hold of a manager and have them come to the rescue. It did take sometime so our food got cold but I have to say all and all it was GOOD!! Thank you everyone for turning a crazy situation into a Good Getaway.
We came here for the eclipse. Friendly town. Loved the room. It's walking distance to the whole fun shops and restaurants.
We had stayed at Ocean Cove Inn several years ago when it was still privately owned and enjoyed our stay. When we needed a few days getaway, we thought of it. The new ownership has kept up the facility beautifully.
Nice place needs some TLC
The Ocean Cove Inn was great! Great view of the bay, right next door to what I think is the best restaurant in town, the Drift Inn, and they have a car charger for those of us who drive an electric car!
I brought my lovely fiancée here for a weekend away. What a perfect spot to get lost on the Oregon coast! There's tons of hiking spots around as well as opportunities for great adventures and beautiful scenery! The hotel is like a cottage getaway with beautiful views and a homey atmosphere. There is so much information left for you to find best places to eat and visit. All in all, best weekend ever! We will definitely be back :)
Very cozy and clean. A big plus is how quiet it despite being so close to downtown. Very homey furnishings complete with rocker and lap quilt. Beautiful deck to socialize on and enjoy the sun.
A very nice and cozy place. Pet Friendly as wel.
We enjoyed the clean and spacious rooms. The only thing I'd request to improve is spotty internet connection :-(
A wonderful room, older, yes, but very tastefully furnished. There is a big front deck for watching the ocean, although it would be a lot nicer if you could turn off the porch lights. There is no kitchen, but a nice frig and microwave, but you don’t need one. The location is wonderful, you can walk to all the good restaurants and shops downtown, the Yachats Park, tide pools, beach, etc. Everything was well maintained and very clean, no hint of that musty beach smell you sometimes get in older coast locations. And it was very easy to make reservations online.
We will stay here again when we go to Yachats.
This unit is just off Hwy 101. Very convenient, but I did NOT notice any road noise. Clean, pleasant view, and convenient to downtown Yachats. I would stay again.
Good location, much quieter than anticipated. Very clean and well maintained.
Nice location with a decent view and very affordable.
Loved having the Keurig and my favorite coffee in the room!
Lock box made check in and out very convenient. Great deck to sit and see ocean and visit with other travelers!
I loved Yachats and enjoyed my stay in Perpetua! Easy walking distance to food, drink, and sightseeing/beach walking/tide pools. The room was clean and had all the amenities I needed for my stay though I was rarely in the room. I did enjoy the patio seating, but make sure and walk to the rocky lookout point on the beach at sunset as it is stunning!
This was our first time to the central Oregon coast and we booked without knowing anything really about the area...and were so pleasantly surprised and relieved and even downright delighted with where we landed. The rental was clean and simple , nothing fancy but all that we needed, and in a perfect location for walking to shops, restaurants and most importantly the beach...with a lovely deck on which to enjoy morning cuppas while looking out over the gorgeous bay, close enough to hear the waves as we fell asleep. We left already looking forward to and planning our next visit.
It was a good location and very relaxing.
Another pleasant stay in Yachats
Nice location with ocean view
The location of the Inn and Yachats is wonderful. The room was clean and eclectically furnished. However, two lamps did not work. They were plugged in and had bulbs but did not work. The coffeemaker didn't work. That was also plugged in, so all items had electricity. The room itself was clean and comfortable.
The Vacasa fee for managing reservations is crazy. When a room is advertised at $99/night and the final tally is $167.88, that's way beyond average. $52.51 is stated to be "fees" (for an online booking?) and $16.37 is for taxes (16% tax on the room? Wow!!) Nice place to stay but 67% increase for taxes and other "fees" over room price will make it such that my finger never hovers over Vacasa's online reservation page again.
We apologize that the electrical has been difficult. We have repairs scheduled for this unit in order to get all outlets working. There are nearby outlets that do work where the lamps can be plugged in for the meantime. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I would stay here again. close to everything and the view of bay was great! I love yachats!very dog friendly.
Charming cozy room was perfect for a few night stay. Fun to walk almost anywhere in Yachats within a couple to a few blocks. ...grocery store, video store, several restaurants, coffe shops, post office, beach, tide pools. Great "little" village. Quiet too.
Good views and easy walking distance for restaurants, coffee and shopping needs. Will definitely stay here again.
We cant wait for you to come back! Thanks again for choosing Vacasa.
Very nice quiet room that was exceptionally clean. Enjoyed my stay.
A nice stay, right in town. Guests were very considerate of each other. I wouldn't recommend for storm watching as not right on ocean. But very nice to sit on deck in sun.
Yachats is a quant little town. It has more good restaurants than a town 3 times it's size and the coast is gorgeous there. Great weekend getaway or month long vacation to get away from the hustle.
We enjoyed are stay very much. The location, price, the staff was very helpful, and the room was very clean. All of which is important to us when we stay away from home. We will return.
the room was a lot nicer than I had expected for the price that I had paid. On top of that is cleanliness was spot on. The staff was helpful with check in, but still the key was in the lock box. I would definitely call this a bargain. The amount of cleanliness for the amount of money made it very worthwhile to stay here.
We enjoyed a great night here. The bottle of wine was very nice and we loved the deck in front of our room where we could enjoy the view. I was surprised how quiet it was since it is close to the highway but I only heard the sound of the ocean at night. The location was perfect as we didn't have to get in the car to go eat. We also were happy that this is a pet friendly motel as we travel with our dog who loved the trail along the ocean a little north of town. Overall a very nice place and we would stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was thoughtfully provided, including a wonderful bottle of wine. We would suggest that you put a hook next to the ub for a towel. Thanks so much. Sue and Ron Ramage, Quimper Inn Bed and breakfast, Port Townsend, WA
Celebrated both Valentine's Day and my 50th bday here - can't say enough great things about it! We stayed in "Perpetua." The room was super cute, so cozy and absolutely SPOTLESS. The view was amazing. (We got in after dark the first night and didn't think we would have a view given the geography, but we were very wrong - the weather was gorgeous, so were able to enjoy it in the daytime.) Loved the ultra-convenience of being able to walk to everything in town. Really appreciated the complementary bottle of wine! We will definitely stay here again - great value and special little place.
Thank you for these kind words. We are so happy that you loved the views and location.
We took a two week tour from Washington to California along the coast, We stayed at the Hobbit House, The Hippie Shack, The Slippery Sheets motel, and many other places i refuse to name This place was a breath of fresh air . This is one of the better places we stayed we really enjoyed our visit thank you
Waking up to the beautiful view of the ocean and Yachats river was so relaxing and fun. Lovely, cozy room, very comfortable bed, friendly staff. Will stay here again!
We were only passing through Yachats on a tour of Oregon but Ocean Cove Inn was just what we needed, clean, safe, quiet and close to amenities. Would gladly recommend this to anyone.
This is a reasonably priced, clean and comfortable place to stay in Yachats. We had a restful night- very quiet. We walked to everywhere we wanted to go.
Rooms are nicely appointed, clean, and the extra touches are welcoming.
Views of cove are second to none........love the location being able to walk everywhere............. I will be back again!
I love that each room is uniquely furnished so you can find the perfect one for your personality. All of the restaurants, boutique stores and coffee shop are within walking distance, and there's a great view of the ocean from the upper deck. I lucked out and the sun was shining during most of my visit so I got to spend some time reading and relaxing with a glass of wine on the deck.
We'd stay here again. Was cleaned well and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine upon our arrival which was a treat we didnt expect.
Very much enjoyed our stay. Great ocean view! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if it were on the beach.
The view is great, especially in the upper units, and it's a great location right near the center of town. We walked to both dinner and breakfast, and enjoyed a great walk along the shoreline.
My wife and I enjoyed out stay at the Ocean Cove Inn in Yachats, Oregon, the room was very cozy and we had a great view of the distant ocean. We felt we received good value for the money we spent. My only complaint was with getting a stable Wi-Fi signal in our room. Other than that, we loved our room, it was very cozy and the views were great. We would stay there again without hesitation. Thank-you Brian & Wendy Boleen.
