I did not want to deal with filthy carpeting/hardwood floors, hundreds of flies, cold showers or a broken down waterfront dock and overgrown beach area. That’s what we got. There were good things about it too but hard to see past the many disappointments.

Everything you need for a quiet week on the sound. Stop at a Safeway in the South Sound area before driving up, as there's really not decent grocery option in the area. Recommend arriving before dark, as the driveway is a little tough to find the first time at night.

Great location for a number of day hikes into the Olympics, requiring less than an hour of travel by car. The rental was very restful, the setting peaceful, and absolutely relaxing!

We, of course loved the house. Lots of bedrooms - the king mattress was the best I've ever slept on. All the amenities. Great place for a group of hiking friends - right in the middle of some wonderful hikes and close to Hamma Hamma oysters and the Geoduck Tavern.

Perfect cabin on the water! We loved all the wood, the view, the fireplace and the beds. Definitely would love to come back.

Lovely home! Plenty of room for our party of seven. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was spacious and clean. The views, AMAZING. We had a great time on the private beach and found ourselves close to local attractions and the Ranger Station. Don't miss local attractions: Hamma Hamma or Rocky Brook Falls, both just a short drive away. Plenty to see near and far.

From the layout to the location this place couldn’t be more perfect. Then you walk outside and a bald eagle flies by. Then another, then another, we counted at lease 4 different eagles that constantly flew around the property. The stairs to the beach are a bit tricky and can be scary to let small children go down but nobody in our family got hurt or had a mishap. Looking forward to staying here again soon!
