When you do want to head into town for a latte at the Green Salmon Coffee and Tea House, it's less than a four-mile drive (or bike ride) away. In downtown Yachats, you'll also find shops, galleries, and restaurants.

With an inviting front porch and a well-maintained interior, this Yachats vacation home offers a budget-friendly escape on the beautiful Central Oregon Coast. You'll have a wood burning fireplace for chilly evenings, a private hot tub, a comfortable sitting area, and a TV with a DVD player. It'll be easy to whip up breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the bright and colorful full kitchen. There's even a coffee grinder if you want to pick up fresh beans while you're in town. And while there's not a dishwasher, you can always soak those in the sink while you watch a movie, borrow a book from one of the shelves for some quiet reading, or even head to the beach for a scenic sunset.

The back deck is covered in case of a rainy day and has seating for all guests and a gas grill if you want to spend a sunny afternoon flipping burgers. Get the fire pit going for s'mores and stargazing.

The tastefully decorated two bedrooms offer a queen and a full sized bed - one room even has deck access. Both feature neutral wall colors, framed art, and comfortable bedding. Up to four guests can stay at this inviting Yachats getaway and two dogs are welcome (though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply).

The one bathroom has a shower/tub combo and a pretty amber glass vessel sink. You'll also have WiFi for entertainment.

Your visit to the Oregon Coast can include as much adventure as you'd like. Just four miles north is Governor Patterson Memorial State Recreation Site for hiking, fishing, and watching the waves roll in. On the drive south to Yachats proper, you'll pass San Marine State Park, also a nice stretch of sandy beach to explore. Easy day trips include the Oregon Coast Aquarium, 20 miles north in Newport or Cape Perpetua, about a 10-minute drive south.

However you choose to spend your time at this Central Oregon Coast vacation rental, you'll have a charming Yachats getaway where you can put your feet up, relax, and explore the wild and scenic Oregon coastline.

The house was very warm and inviting. If your looking for peace and tranquility this is the place. The house was very clean with more than enough towels and bedding for my daughter and me. The neighbors are super friendly but do not intrude. The road up to the house was a little hard to find at first but after a few trips to Yachats and up and down the coast it was easy enough to find. The hot tub was clean in working order but missing the headrests. The only drawback was there was a ton of spider webs and spiders outside on the back porch and the yard needed to be better maintained. We did not use the grill because it was rusty and very dirty, but if you use the fire pit beware the bottom has rusted out and it should have sand in and around the fire pit it was really easy to catch the sounding grass on fire so have some water ready if you do use it. Overall this is a great little place and I would come back. Just love to see some up grades to the outside. The inside was very comfortable and made you feel like you were at home.

The only downfall to the house really is the driveway since it shared and was confusing at first. The beach across the road is a bit of a walk but its worth it since its not high traffic we were able to let our dog run. Alot of the items listed in the welcome book were not available but it was fine none of those things are needed. Hot tub was the best part!

we were traveling with our 3 1/2 year old daughter. I have never been so concerned for her safety in my life. Thank God she didn't get bit by a spider and that we didn't get bed bugs!
We found Marijuana and a pipe in the closet, cigarette butts in the backyard and fireplace (indoors). The beds smelled like cigarettes. There was rotten seafood and steak left in the bbq grill. The fridge smelt of rotten fish, which made the entire house smell that way. There were spider webs on the outside of the home, everywhere. There were dead spiders inside the home. I was vomiting the entire night due to the horrid smell in the house. We left an entire day early with no refund.
The hot tub jets do not work, the head rest were missing. The washer and Dryer were "out of order."
Sad because you can tell that the owner's wanted to make this a wonderful place.
We called Vacasa as soon as we got there and a maintenance guy, David, came to the home and sprayed for spiders. David was super professional, unfortunately the home was so disgusting there wasn't much he could do.
Manager Response:
We are sorry to read this review and hope to have another chance to impress this guest. The washer and dryer have been removed from the advertised amenities as the owners will not be replacing them at this time. We have sprayed for spiders, and housekeeping has done a thorough sweep and cleaning of the home to ensure all substances are out of the home and everything is clean. Thanks!

This home is Absoulutley amazing, I recomend this to couple's only because I felt its a place for comfert, and you can kinda just forget and relax, you deffiently can make it a family thing, but that's just how I feel.

Cute little cabin with plenty of room for 2 people and 2 dogs. Very clean and warm.Nice fenced yard for the dogs and quite location. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The only disappointment was there is no way to access the Netflix subscription.

Overall we loved our stay here. There were a few things we would love to see improved but nothing that would keep us from coming back, especially if those few small things are addressed before our next visit.

This is not a place to rent. It was dirty, depressing and dangerous.
Lucy R. Oct 2017
We really enjoyed our short stay at the Getaway. The house is cozy and warm, the perfect nest to return to after running around on the beach all day. They allowed us to bring our dogs which made everything easier for us, and they got to enjoy the beach as well. Also, the yard was fully fenced so the pups could be outside without us worrying they'd wander off. The house has pretty much everything you'd need; the kitchen has enough to make a meal and there was a TV with netflix and a dvd player. The hot tub is little but it was plenty big enough for the two of us. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves.

We stayed for five days and had a wonderful time. The house isn't "fancy," but it is perfect for a laid back get away.

Decent place.

We had a nice time at The Getaway. It was not too far to the beach and we found the property pleasant and relaxing.
Lucynda T. Jul 2017
The Getaway was very charming, perfect for a much needed retreat with my sweetie. It reminded me of my grandmother and growing up in rural Coos Bay.
The only issues we had were on par with previous reviews. The hot tub did not get or stay very hot, however nice for a quick soak. We had issues with figuring out the tv situation, an update of the binder would be helpful.
That said, Vacasa and local staff were very prompt to respond to our distress call.
I will admit I was a bit of a pill and they were very patient with me :)
We truly had a lovely time!

I was told that there wasn't much to do in Yachats, but there's Cape Perpetua (which is a 10 min drive from the house). It was so beautiful and I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Jessica W. May 2017
We loved the house, it was simple and efficient. I loved the location, the fact that it was tucked away in the trees yet close to the beach and a nice central area along the coast.
I definitely felt right at home. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. I personally felt that I got what I was looking for in this rental.
The few problems that I did have were the hot tub wasn't hot and the control panel needed replaced during our stay, as well as the lack of satellite TV but that didn't bother us because it gave time to more important things such as each other's company.
Manager Response:
We apologize the hot tub had been set to eco mode prior to this stay so it wasn't ready for our guests. The home does not have satellite TV or cable, but it does provide a streaming service, an extensive movie collection, and a gaming system. Thank you!
Marianne B. Oct 2016
We enjoyed our stay very much, it was private and quiet. Comfortable and well-equipped with all necessities. The hot tub is a lovely addition, though small and is very private and easy to use.
Christopher C . Sep 2016
Would not recommend this place - work in progress. Bad location with very small SHARED driveway for parking. Not a private backyard due to neighbor behind.
Manager Response:
We are disappointed to see that this experience was negative due to the shared driveway. This has not been a problem for our guests as the neighbor has health issues and rarely leaves the home.
Michael S. Jul 2016
The house itself is nicely decorated and fairly well maintained for a beach house. Parking is difficult to find as it is the driveway PAST the house. The driveway before is not the right driveway and is difficult to get back out. The shared driveway is kind of a pain but as long as you are pulled all the way forward for the neighbor to be able to back out, you will be fine. The house is 0.3 miles on a single lane gravel road to highway 101 and then across highway 101 another 0.1 miles to get to the beach, but we didn't have a problem with that. Nearby beaches were a short drive anyway. Overall a great stay and will definitely be back.

The Getaway is adorable! The house was clean and well maintained-- when first driving up in the dark we were a little concerned about the road in and location to other homes, but upon arrival we fell in love! We plan on making it a tradition to return at least once a year.
Adam & Emily L. Dec 2015
We loved staying in this cute, pet friendly house. It's off the main highway and super quiet. The hot tub was wonderful and very private. The house has a great yard for your pup to come with! Lots of charm and character in the house. Games, DVD's and Netflix too!
Heidi W. Oct 2015
The cabin was so comfortable and CLEAN ( I live on a farm it's almost impossible to keep dust and dirt off the floor). The hot tub was wonderful we used it every night. I loved all of the personal touches the shower was my favorite, and all the light switch covers were so cool. My only complained is that we had to leave. We will be back for sure!
Doug C. Sep 2015
Great place. Don't want to tell anybody else to keep it our secert.
Robin D. Aug 2015
This little vacation home was quite comfortable. My husband, adult daughter and myself were very comfy and pleased. We enjoyed havinging such a short drive to the great tide pools in Yachats and then being able to come back and relax in the hot tub and stretch out on the comfy sofas. The local grocery store was fun to shop in although I'm disappointed that they didn't stop us from buying two bundles of wood before we knew there was a ban on all burning. But, oh well…

We do plan to stay at the Getaway again. Hopefully LONGER this time because we'll not wait to long to reserve our time.

Thanks for a great break at the beach.
Laura H. Aug 2015
It was great for the price, but hard to find the entrance and the hot tub does not work. The parking offered was not available until after 9pm the first night since the neighbor took up the entire driveway. But overall it was a good value and it was clean.
Deborah T. Aug 2015
We usually stay oceanfront when visiting the coast; The Getaway was a great new experience for us! We were still within earshot of the ocean but it was nice being tucked away in the surrounding tranquil woods. With our family of four this cozy house felt like a home away from home. Lots of thought and love put into it. Our kids adjusted quickly and almost didn't want to leave to explore the coast!
We loved the hot tub and how it's situated. It was perfect for grown-up time at night, the spa light and little flashlight/lamp provided just enough needed light. If you have trouble adjusting the temperature and it's flashing SL, it's on sleep mode. We had to Google instructions but it's an easy fix (toggle light and temp buttons, will change to ST, standard mode.)
Your doggie family members will love this place too with room to run around. And don't forget the smores for the firepit!
Inna S. Jul 2015
Was a nice home, and really enjoyed the hot tub and the grill. Would come to this location again!
Pamela C. Jul 2015
Secluded but with beach access at the end of the lane and across the road. The furnishings were great and the little touches like the adorable switch plates made it feel quite homey. The only things I thought could be better was the actual entrance to the driveway needs better markings and it would been nice to have a light in the hot tub area. Zero light for the backyard was a bit odd.
Manager Response:
Thanks so much for your review, and we have forwarded your suggestions to the local property manager. We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the amenities and unique personality of "The Getaway." We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Michael A. Jun 2015
The Getaway is a sweet small house in the woods above the highway. It was well supplied, cozy, clean and comfortable. A great place to return to after a day of exploring the coast.
Sally S. Jun 2015
I loved this home. It felt cozy, lived in, and clean. The hot tub was a nice touch. When we showed up, it was dark and we were unable to find the front door, when we did, we were given the wrong lock box code. Vacasa was open late and able to help me out right away - once we got inside and into the hot tub and I forgot that I was even the least bit miffed.

The stay was lovely and while there there were more than a few homes surrounding the property - it was silent and you could hear the ocean. The only complaint I had was that the yard was overgrown and there was a gap in the fence allowing a neighbors loose dog to come and poo everywhere.
Manager Response:
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that despite the initial troubles with lighting and lockbox codes, that you had a great time. We are following up with our property manager to see about getting the fence fixed so that animals cannot get in or out of the yard. Thanks again for this review, we look forward to having you as a guest again soon!
Brooke F. Apr 2015
It's at the very end of a long, bumpy, dirt road, and the only view you're going to have is of the neighbors' houses. But if you're just looking for a no-frills place to stay on the coast, this is a great option. There's only room for one car to park, which was all we needed.

It's clean, the beds are comfortable, and it is packed full of things to do and use. Card games and a Netflix movie were perfect for a rainy night in.

The one thing that I wish I would have known prior to booking is that the hot tub only accommodates 2 people (comfortably at least). That may have changed where we booked.
Julia D. Dec 2014
This is a cute house with lots of great amenities. The beds were comfortable and clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and we felt very comfortable there. Be aware that the shared driveway can only accommodate one car, and that the entrance to the house is on the east side and the house has no identifying markers - I wouldn't advise arriving in the dark like we did. Although some parts of the house are a little shabby (cabinets, shelving, carpets), others are very nice and upscale. Overall, we had everything we needed and more. The house is worth it mostly if you're going to take advantage of the extra amenities like the fireplace, hot tub, quiet yard, and entertainment options (TV, video and board games). They even provided Duraflames for the fireplace! If you're not interested in these amenities, the house may be a little expensive for what you get. However, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay here!

Cute & cozy little place to stay. The interior decor touches are unique. Had a great time & the weather was amazing! Not for older people as the walk to the beach is a little farther than advertised. The location is off the road & very quiet. We look forward to visiting again!
