First & foremost we have to thank the owner, Shannon, for being so responsive leading up to our trip & for her hospitality in allowing us to check in a couple hrs earlier. The cabin itself — we absolutely loved it. It embraces that true wilderness feel — tucked away in the forest away from it all. Peaceful & zen like. The only sounds you’ll hear are birds chirping & the wind blowing in the surrounding trees. Clean, nice yet still has that rustic cabin vibe. Also well stocked w/everything we needed. And so conveniently located to pretty much everything we experienced on the island: minutes from English Camp (and nearby hiking), Roche Harbor (kayaking), & Lime Kiln St Park, and only 20 min from Friday Harbor & American Camp & nearby hiking. Highly recommend.

Spotted Deer Hideaway has a spectacular view and was a very welcoming home. My husband, 2 small children and I spent a lovely two nights there. One thing to consider though is that there does not seem to be a way down to the beach near the house.

Such a beautiful view- and eagles nesting close by. Really enjoyed the rest and relaxation, even during a rainy weekend, we had a terrific time!

The place has an amazing view!! The beds were very comfy and they all the amenities we could want or need. The home was super clean and the host was easy to communicate with. Check in and check out was easy. Wonderful place if you want to get away. Right near Moran State park and a great breakfast spot called Catkin cafe. There was more then enough room for 4 people and enjoyed just staying and looking at the view. We can't wait to stay again.

The house is very much like the pictures shown. A beautiful view in a quiet area. Great for a getaway with a family or group of friends as the size is perfect for 5 to 6 people

There is a lot to love about this house: the secluded location, a large deck, a great living room with a tall ceiling and the most amazing view of water. We even got to see some Orcas swim by our first day! The view makes the price worth it, though the house could use a little deep cleaning here and there. Overall we had an amazing time and would love to go back!
Manager response:
We have scheduled a deep clean. Thank you!

This is an adorable house that is located on the east coast of Orcas Island. It had 3 sleeping areas and great views. The house was very functional and had a nice play area for the kids. Would come back
