We loved everything about this spot. The home was nice and provided many of the amenities needed during our stay. The location is unbeatable, steps away from the ocean with miles of quiet beach and walking paths.
Well maintained home w easy access to beach across the street.
Home was clean upon arrival. Only 1 key noted, called property management and they brought out addition key, as we had 5 people.Great views from living room, and kitchen/table of ocean.
If sitting in family room you are below ocean view level. Quiet neighborhood. Great place to ring in 2019. Backyard private and
nicely landscaped. Majority of furniture comfortable, however; furniture in family showing wear, w tears in ottoman. Be aware all of the beds in this home are extremely firm, almost like sleeping on board. Closest store Cleone about 5 min ride. There are no stores, restaurants, coffee shops withing walking, however we knew this. Great kitchen to cook in. Bring your own foil/plastic wrap, etc. Lots of spices in cupboard.
Be aware fireplace and garage are not part of ammenities.
In order to book this home again, beds would need to be updated with new mattresses. Furniture updated in family room.
Stayed 5 days, great weather, good food, and good memories.
This was our 42nd year of celebrating New Year's together!
This house is really a special place. Better than the pictures make it. Well appointed kitchen, playroom with books and games for kids, beach chairs, cozy heating system (we visited during the winter). The view and access to the haul road walk along the beach was restorative. Magical backyard and landscaping. Whimsical decor that made for great conversation. Thank you!
Very clean, comfortable, and spacious. We enjoyed our stay very much. Kitchen is nice to wake up to. Making yer coffee while watching the surf.
This house had wonderful views of the ocean from almost every room. Ten-mile beach is just a short walk away so you can stroll on the beach every day.
We always try to stay in this area when visiting Fort Bragg. The lo9cation to the beach is key. The home was nice, however the kitchen needed some updates. There are some maintenance items that need to be addressed on the property as well. Over all, these things did not prevent the family from having a wonderful vacation.
This home is perfect for a group, with lovely views of the ocean from many sides of the house. It is roomy and comfortable. The backyard with its magical path is a total retreat. It surrounds you in greenery and beckons you to explore. The ocean is right across the street with easy access for endless beach walks.
This was a very beautiful home on the Pacific coast sited in a beautiful national park.
Large and spacious for three generations. Walking distance to the ocean and walk/bike trail. Saw whale spouts and flukes from the front porch!
We had a wonderful weekend at this property!! The house was a great size with the perfect amount of space! We made some memeoried we’ll never forget...and some I’m sure we wish we could lol.
Honestly one of the best houses I’ve ever rented in fort bragg area.
The refrigerator wasn’t staying cold, but the company brought out two smaller units to compensate. Then out coffee maker started leaking lol. So after a long night of drinking we just had to double team making coffee. One holding towel over the leak and the other pouring water. Nothing that detoured is from this amazing house!! We will book again! Thank you :)
Loved the house and the views. The backyard was a very pleasant surprise! Very charming! Great access to the beach plenty of parking. Bummed that we could not get the second television to work and we couldn’t find a switch for the patio light by the BBQ. It was a little dark out there. Loved all the books and the front deck. We would definitely love to come back!
We are sorry to see there were issues with the TV and patio light and wish this guest had called for assistance so we could provide them with instructions for both.
The house is amazing and beautifully decorated with views of the surrounding vineyard.
From the youngest in our group of ladies (39), to the most senior (81), we all absolutely loved this home! From the spacious redwood deck in front, facing the magnificent Pacific, to the meticulously kept backyard, we so enjoyed the great outdoors without even leaving the property! All we had to do was cross the hardly traveled residential road to be at the dunes and the beaches off Ward Avenue. Heaven! The property is neighboring MacKerricher Park and a short drive to all the shops in Fort Bragg and Mendocino. We had a ball strolling through the various shops, including thrift stores and Noyo Harbor.
Let me talk about the house. We all agreed that it was just about perfect! The living and family rooms were both very comfortably furnished. The kitchen was a 5 out of 5 stars! It was stocked with every size pot, pan, bowl, and utensil that we needed. Double door refrigerator with an ice maker and even a trash compactor for our convenience! Best of all, it has a wall of windows facing the Ocean! Glorious views!!!
Each of the 3 bedrooms had their own bathroom which was perfection for 6 ladies! Plus a 1/2 bath downstairs.
There’s even a loft area playroom, with so many different board games to choose from, including poker chips and cards which we put to good use!
The only critique is that the bathroom in the 1st upstairs bedroom has a foul odor coming from the bathroom closet. Very strong odor of moth balls perhaps? And some of us definitely missed having a tv in the bedrooms.
All in all this is a wonderful house located just this side of heaven!
The bathroom closet is unused, so we have aired it out and placed some cedar in there. We apologize for the bad odor.
Clean and functional house, great location across from the beach, well organized communication from management company - we will be back!
The home is spacious, light, clean, warm and comfortable.
It is kid friendly and a joyful place to host your family.
Right across from the beach and spectacular views from every room. Nice decks front and back for watching the waves or enjoying lunch in the sea air. Skipped the Mendocino botanical garden because the backyard garden was just as good. Far enough from town for quiet beach strolls, but short drive to several markets. Lot of harbor seals around the rocks just south. We had young kids and they enjoyed this beach for the tidepools and dynamic waves, but highly recommend day trips to the other beaches farther south (Navarro was our favorite).
loved the ocean view from almost every room in the house.
The house was big, with multiple bathrooms, so each family in our group had their own privacy in that sense. The view in the morning is just plain beautiful, nothing like waking up the view of waves. It was very clean and it easy to get in get out, I would definitely come back.
My Overall Experience: Excellent! A gorgeous, spacious home. Cozy and comfortable furnishings and décor, with many large, beautiful windows providing stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. A peaceful, uplifting place to get away for rest and relaxation.
Location: Very quiet neighborhood. Home is on the frontage road and directly faces the beach!
Amenities: Beautiful modern kitchen appliances. Mudroom with washer and dryer. Luxurious bed linens. Quirky, fun artwork and sculpture pieces. Gorgeous window treatments. Lovely tilework and countertops in kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of books and reading nooks. Professionally landscaped with a lovely backyard with wooden deck and inviting seating options. Garage provides covered parking.
Condition of Home: Superb!
Experiences I recommend: Walk or cycle along the beach to Glass Beach. Visit Fort Bragg and Mendocino and explore the many quaint shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Don’t miss the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens and take a ride on the Skunk Train.
