Make your next vacation special by staying in this two-bedroom Waldport vacation rental. The charming Cape Cod Cottages are oceanfront and provide a casual living space where you and your family can wander down to the beach at your leisure to catch some waves or just bask in the sun! You'll have just about everything you need here for a relaxing trip - including a a full kitchen where you can prepare hot breakfasts every morning! With separate outside entrances, and no interior access between the two rental spaces, privacy is an added amenity.

You'll be steps away from Big Stump Beach where you can spend the day building sandcastles, whale watching, clamming, crabbing, fishing, or just exploring the natural beauty of this peaceful seaside sanctuary. Perhaps the most famous feature of this beach is the Big Stump itself - a strange and mysterious reminder of the past, when a forest of redwoods must have existed before the beach existed.

Step into the cozy living room, where you can leave the glass sliding doors open to hear the gentle hush of the waves. The wood-paneled walls provide a warm feel, and you can relax on the couch (also a sofa bed) while watching one of your favorite cable shows on the flatscreen TV while a log burns down on the fire. Or catch up on work emails using the provided WiFi.

Head into the kitchen where you'll find a little eating area, as well as a stove, refrigerator and a microwave so you can prepare omelets for breakfast or just heat up the pizza from the night before! Also on this floor is a bedroom with a queen sized bed and a full bath. Upstairs, you'll find another spacious bedroom, with a queen sized bed as well as a full, and a second full bathroom. There's even a coffeemaker and a mini-fridge up here for your convenience. All in all, this home will sleep up to eight guests. And don't leave your furry friends behind, as this home allows up to two dogs for an additional nightly fee.

Waldport is about a three-hour drive from Portland and offers miles of unspoiled beaches. It is also a short drive from the popular town of Newport, where you can wander the shops and tourist attractions, and 20 minutes north of Yachats for even more options. Quaint beach cottage. Great view from this place! We could watch the waves all day long. Good beach to walk on. Close to Waldport. Out dated decor but comfortable and homey.

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with an amazing ocean view...easy beach access and close to town and shops...Waldport, Cape Cod Cottages is the place. It was perfect for our family....=)

We rented two of the units. Both were great. We had seven people total in our group. The location is great. The beach is beautiful. There weren't a lot of people on the beach, so it felt safe to go down and spend time hanging out with the family. There are plenty of places to visit within an hour's drive of the resort. This was our fourth time visiting Cape Cod Cottages and we plan on visiting again in the future.

A perfect family getaway. No frills, rustic cottages right on the beach. Bring board games, dvds and coffee.

The cottages are pretty old but has a rustic charm. We booked Unit 7 and 6 for a group of 8 friends and it was perfect for our weekend getaway. Unit 7 has a patio that overlooks the beach with full kitchen whereas Unit 6 has a small kitchenette without the balcony/patio. We spent most of our time at unit 7 as this was spacious and offered great views. The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils for us to use. The best part of staying here was the beach access right next to the cottage. Overall, I'd recommend this for a weekend trip. Thanks for the memories vacasa!

Overall we loved it, it is a rustic adventure that I have enjoyed for over 60 years our family have stayed at the cape cod cottages. We were glad the remodel was very insignificant. Because we are able to afford such a gem on the Ocean. We have told our friends, & will return. Please let us know of discounts available if we send freinds.

The view and the surrounding area is Beautiul and very relaxing. The units are quiet. Next time we might check out a different unit, but overall we had a great time.

We loved watching sunrise and sunset from our balcony, as well as stargazing. We loved viewing whales from our own breakfast table. The beach is so close and accessible, and with a long gradual slope perfect for small children. love the early post war wood paneled interior, just like grandma's cabin, with a cozy fireplace. very quiet and private.

I had a great time at the Cape Cod Cottage. I was looking for something quickly a day before travel and I was so happy to call Vacasa and have this property recommended for my whole family. We rented rooms 6 and 7 and it worked out great for all of us and what a beautiful view from the balcony!!! Thank you!!!

We specifically went for the Newport Seafood and Wine festival and Waldport was the only available location. I imagine during the summer it would be okay. The town is very small, so if your looking for a quiet getaway, this would be your spot.

However, when we arrived, the fridge was unplugged and that warm fridge scent filled the entire room when we opened it. Candles and open windows were needed to get rid of the smell. But it took a good 24 hours for the fridge to get cool again, so we had to use a cooler and ice. Also, there was no WiFi available. Apparently the WiFi router covers four units. (4, 5, 6, 7) and when I called, they recommended to reset the router. We rented units 6 & 7 and the router is located in unit 4 or 5. I can't reset a router that is located in another unit for which I do not have the combination for. The WiFi strength was only 1 bar.

Cell phone signal really doesn't work well inside the property either (Verizon). It was also intermittent outside. So basically if you are looking to get away from technology and contacts, then this spot will suffice.

The location of the property next to the beach was very convenient.

If you forgot anything, Newport is a 30 minute drive. Also, must go into Newport for seafood. So gooddd. Regret not going thru the trouble of making a bonfire on the beach. Advice: go thru the trouble.

The place is a little outdated. The carpet is very dirty from past stains. Could definitely use replacing. The dining table has a "no elbows rule" as it feels like it'll fall a part if there's too much pressure. Could use some screw tightening. The refrigerator is a very small size. Pots, pans, cups, glasses and plates are very good. Could use a baking sheet for lazy pizza nights. Also, note that there are 2 rocking chairs... Beds are comfy especially the pillows.

The Internet connection hardly works. Cuts in and out even in the home. Also note, the place does not have a landline to use.

Manager response:
Thanks so much for your review. We regret that the Internet was acting buggy during your stay, and your comments and suggestions have been forwarded to the local property manager. We're glad to hear that this home's location was convenient for you and that you enjoyed the local fare. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

The Cod Cottages provided our family with the perfect atmosphere for a family vacation. The views were spectular! It was like we had a private beach. Loved the beach cottage feel and am looking forward to staying here again, especially with the updates that are coming.
