It’s a perfect getaway place! Gorgeous view and the house itself has all the amenities you need. Couldn’t ask for a better place to spend my birthday week!

Our family loved this home, it's spacious, private, bright and airy, right on the lake, and fully equipped. Great for pets too.

This house was by far the nicest house we have ever rented. All the pictures on the website are very accurate. The kitchen was so well supplied including cookbooks which I used to make Pancakes a few mornings. Beautiful Cuisinart pots and pans. I do wish there was one non-stick pan though. So many gadgets too. Was happy to find a crockpot and Forman Grill. We spent so much time using the Sunroom. It would be nice if the ceiling fan close to the table had the light attachment.

It would have been nice to figure out how to get the fireplace to work. There was limited instructions to turn a particular thermostat to 50 and that was it. Could not find any switch to turn it on. We mostly cooked in the kitchen. Did use the gas grill, but when the wind blew it would blow out the burners because they probably need to be changed, they looked either rusted or burned out. On a nice night, they worked great.

It was a surprise when we got there to learn that the water in the house is not suitable for drinking or cooking with. There was no mention of that on webite. We bought bottled water to use in the bathroom and 3 L containers which we emptied into the Larger blue bottles to go into the watercooler.

We only used the Master Bedroom and we found the bed to be very comfortable, but the pillows were very firm and uncomfortable. The masterbedroom has a beautiful sliding door leading to a small deck and the area leading to the lake. Since it faces East, we were up every morning with the sun, literaly. There are thin drapes that are not room darkening. I know vacation is not a time to sleep, but it would have been nice to sleep later than 7am. But I guess that is what afternoon naps were for.

The house was stocked with many towels and some small soaps and a small shampoo like you find in hotels. The television in the family room only had 4 network channels since there is no basic cable package, just a nice smart TV with Netflix. There was WiFi with good speed. I was happy I had brought my tablet and firestick to get live TV and we binge watched some TV programs,

All the switches in the house were nicely labeled. The sound system in the living room had a nice sound, but it seemed that only the radio worked. We tried to connect my tablet which has internet and satellite radio with the connected wire, but the selection on the stereo system would not work. There was an Ipod doc but for a late model ipod. We figured out how to use most things, but it would be nice to add a binder to the house with instruction manuals. We did find a small laminated booklet with some house tips and some instructions. We found that mixed in with brochures, it was not prominently placed. Housekeeping should make sure that is in the kitchen with all the other instruction pages from the rental company.

We did find that the house had some cobwebs in places that are probably not frequently dusted and there were some animal droppings in the corner of the entrance porch as well as paper wasp nests high up.

There is a rug which is being used as a stair runner leading up to the living room, the top of the rug is not flush to the rug it is protecting and it surely a trip hazard. Would recomend securing it at the top which was the place that would not stay flush and caught our toes a couple of times. Those things should be tended to regularly with housekeeping, but certainly did not detract from the beautiful house and the relaxing time we had.

We enjoyed swimming in Lake Champlain which was still very warm in September. Unfortunately the lake was low and there was alot of seaweed that we were swimming through all the time. Water shoes are a must, as the bottom is rocky like the path to the lake. Unfortunately our favorite beach (Alburgh Dunes State Park) was closed for construction.

We look forward to renting this home again on our next trip back to Vermont!!

This home was exactly what we needed. The view was spectacular. It was pet friendly and had both lake front on one side and a protected cove with a dock on the other side of the property. Perfect for our little rented boat. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The kitchen was updated and well appointed with all new appliances. Everything was spotless and the management team was responsive and efficient. Could not ask for more. Hope to return next year!
