The bedrooms were good size and so were the beds. It was super clean and the deck was amazing. Snow right up to it. They had saucers, and sleds the sauna was nice after being out in the cold. It was off the beaten path, no view of the lake but private and quiet without being remote. Close enough to Safeway and restaurants and the kitchen was fully equipped. Fireplace was super cute and 3 full bathrooms meant no waiting. Great value, no complaints
The home was very cozy, comfortable, and perfect for 3 families with small children. Beautiful location, surrounded by snow, with a short drive down the road to the water. We found a perfect spot just out the back door to play in the snow and slide down a hill with the kids.
The home was clean, warm, and welcoming.
We would definitely return again.
The location and comfort of the home was perfect for what we were looking for. A wonderful snow filled trip with wonderful relaxation for my wife and me and great skiing for our Son and friends. Direct TV will not work in bad weather so bring your firestick or apple tv connector. The WI-FI was quite good.
We celebrated Christmas with our children and brand new granddaughter..we hope to do this every January..the house was beautiful and wonderfully stocked with the essentials...
The house was great and suited us just fine for 8 adults (4 couples). There is now a bed in the office so that room has been changed (at the time of this review the photos were not updated). Downstairs pull-out bed would probably only be comfortable for a more petite pair, but it was fine for our group. Sauna was great to use after a day on the slopes. Apple TV and Chromecast were nice for watching movies, and Nest system for the home thermostat was convenient and modern. Well supplied kitchen and comfy beds. The driveway is on a very steep slope so watch out for that if it's icy. If you have a roof luggage rack you may not fit in the garage, as was the case for us. I would return to this home for another trip!
House was in a perfect location in the forest, but only a few minutes from the lake. Everything was well maintained and clean. Really appreciated the coffee grinder!
Central to all the attractions we were looking for - North shore, Truckee, Reno, Virginia City, and more. Wonderful home in the woods with ample seating and amenities. Cell service very spotty/nonexistent so beware if you need to be reachable. You won’t get calls on even the most reliable networks! Comfortably sleeps two couples (in two beds), plus one more on a sofa bed downstairs. Five total in beds, and room for perhaps two more on inflatable matresss in the office.
We had a disappointing arrival as previous tenants left... bodily fluid stains on some of the throw pillows, bed pillows and bedding. This was apparently unnoticed by the cleaning crew so we got surprised with it. Yuck! The management company replaced/removed the spoiled items on the second day; they were responsive.
A BEAR was on the porch on our first night - I woke up to loud banging and rattling at about 1 AM. Turned on the front porch light (on the second story, up a twisting flight of stairs) and I was staring at a medium/sized back bear roughly 6 feet away. He left when he saw me. Bear precautions are a must in this house.
Overall everything we were looking for, with the significant drawback of being unreachable by phone and unable to make calls out. Would stay again!
We are sorry to see our guest had some shocks to their stay. We do have bear precautions in place due to bear break-ins being common in the area. We sincerely apologize for the oversight with the bedding. Thanks!
Good location, spacious home, plenty of towels and toiletries for our family.
Loved the location of the home. Very close to trails and main road.
