Charming cabin w/ split lake access dock, & firepit at the water's edge
The woodsy charms of Western Maryland are all around you at this three-bedroom, 1,100 sq. ft., Oakland cabin, an atmospheric escape on the shores of Deep Creek Lake with a waterfront dock and firepit, an expansive deck, and a private hot tub for soothing soaks among the trees.
This cabin sits on the western shores of Deep Creek Lake, a quarter-mile west of the Glendale Bridge. Bring along your kayaks for sunrise paddles from the dock, enjoy the sandy swimming beaches at Deep Creek Lake State Park one mile northeast, and return each winter to ski the slopes of Wisp Resort six miles north.
Yet you never need leave the property to experience the boundless beauty of Deep Creek Lake. Whip up homemade waffles in the kitchen each morning, bring your breakfast plates outside to the deck, and use the free WiFi to share photos of yesterday's adventures. Spend the day reading at the water's edge before gathering around the outdoor firepit, stargazing in the private hot tub, and curling up by the fireplace for a night of DVD and cable favorites.
Plan a Maryland vacation your family will never forget!

The amenities were rustic and nice for the price! Close proximity to the docks and all the attractions in Deep Creek! Chimnea on the deck was perfect for evening camp fires!

We loved the cabin and fire ring area. We were a little surprised how far away the lake was. You couldn't see it from the cabin.

The seven of us had a great time! Easy access to the lake and the dock, had fires both on the deck at the cottage and down by the lakefront, and LOVED the hot tub! Very quaint and relaxing. For the price, I thought that it was very appropriate. Would stay there again!

Perfect cabin for two couples stay in for a nice weekend getaway. This house had everything we needed. Will definitely think about coming back.

Everything about this cabin was really nice - hot tub, great open space in the common area, comfy beds, fireplace, and what looked like a nice porch & outdoor fire pit. Cute bunkbed room would be great for multiple kids willing to share a room.
We went on a BUMMER of a weekend, where it was rainy & 35degrees from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, but the cabin was so nice to sit in, that we had a very nice time cooking, having a fire, and vegging out.
We ventured to Deep Creek Seafood (Delicious, maybe 5 min drive?), the Discovery Center (great for our 2 year old), Deep Creek Donuts, and more. The shared waterfront area with its stone beach was gorgeous - even in the rain!
Cabin came well stocked with kitchen supplies, etc., and we appreciated all the small touches.
Only small complaint was proximity to the busy road, but only for noise of them driving by - not for danger. Plenty of trees between the yard and the road, and we would definitely stay here again!

The house is super cute in a really great location!! It’s a mile away from Uno’s and lakeside creamery (which has the best ice cream). The beds are relatively uncomfortable and the bedrooms are pretty small with no where to put your stuff, but overall the house is very cozy and provided everything we needed. There is a path that leads you right to dock/lake with 5 Adirondack Chairs around the fire pit. We had a really great time and we definitely rent again!!!

Great house- literally only 100 steps to the lake!!! Enjoyed many campfires while sitting on the edge of the lake! The house had everything we needed and the hot tub was clean and ready for use!!! Didn’t need the AC that was available as the temperatures were very cool at night. Will definitely stay again!!!

The home is indeed rustic. However, there are many amenities that are either erroneously or inadequately stated. The cabin is not water view or lakefront. It’s location includes road noise. There is no air conditioning in this cabin; a factor NOT stated. Cross ventilation is challenging even with fans as there is no screen on the front door. The hot tub was unclean upon arrival and required filter cleaning to enable any use. The bathroom smells of mildew due to lack of ventilation as well. The kitchen needs adequate supplies of utensils, silverware, can opener and potholders, etc. Overall our stay did not meet our expectations!
We have purchased another set of pots and pans and a new blender. We haven't noticed any odor in the bathroom, but we did clean out the hot tub filter. We apologize for the error in listing this home as lakefront and have removed that from the website. With this being a mountain home that rarely experiences temperatures over 80 degrees, air conditioning is not necessary. It is impossible to list every possible amenity a home does not have, so we encourage guests to please check that all their necessities for a vacation are specifically advertised. Thank you!
