Lakeside family hideaway w/private dock. Recently updated!

This unique and charming vacation rental sits right on the beautiful Spirit Lake and features its own private dock, so you will have no trouble swimming, boating, and spending your vacation enjoying the gorgeous scenery! The interior has recently been refurnished (including new beds), ensuring a comfortable stay!

When you stay in this home you will appreciate the secluded, forested location on the north side of Spirit Lake. However, you will also be about a mile away from downtown Spirit Lake, which means you can zip into town for groceries or a quick trip to a cafe. Because it was designed by a well-known local architect, this home is anything but ordinary and has design elements you will not see anywhere else.

The large living room, featured prominently on the main floor of this home, has an interesting, almost octagonal shape with plenty of cushioned bench seats, couches, and chairs for everyone to sit on. This area has a flatscreen TV equipped with cable and a DVD/VHS player, a library of movies to choose from, and a corner nook with family-friendly games that would be an ideal place for children to sit and play together. Please note that WiFi is not available in this home, perfect for unplugging and enjoying the updated space, including newer bedding, curtains, and more.

Past the living room is a dining table that seats six, and the nearby table in the living area will seat an additional four. The full kitchen is a great place to cook up any type of meal, whether you envision a simple breakfast of pancakes and eggs, or an ambitious multi-course dinner on a special occasion. Here you will have access to a stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, waffle iron, coffee maker, and all the tools you may need. Plus, the multiple large windows allow you to gaze at the forested scenery while you cook!

This home has four bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, and comfortably sleeps eight people though 10 guests are welcome to stay here. Climb the curved staircase to reach the master loft area. This space has a bookcase stocked with reading material, a bright, sunny bedroom area, window seat for admiring the view, and a bathroom with a shower. Two more bedrooms have comfortable, plush beds where your guests will sleep soundly.

A fourth bedroom has two twin beds with updated linens and matching window curtains. This room also has another very small bed, suitable for a young child to sleep. An additional bunk house contains two sets of twin bunk beds, a great place for giggling youngsters to stay.

A second bathroom features double sinks and a shower with bathtub and an outdoorsy shower curtain. This home even has a laundry room, so nobody will need to worry about getting their clothes wet or dirty while enjoying nature. Another living area downstairs has a wood stove, lots of seating for everyone, and access to the back yard area.

Outside, a deck offers spectacular views of the lake. You will love to sit on the patio furniture, feel the gentle breeze, bask in the sunshine, and maybe even use the gas grill to cook up a nice lunch of burgers for everyone. When it's time to explore the lake itself, walk just 100 feet across your grassy yard to reach the shore and your private dock. Spirit Lake is great for swimming, boating, fishing for Silver salmon and Trout and Bass from a boat or off the dock, though you may prefer to just sit on the sandy shore and marvel at the view.

Spirit Lake may be a small and quiet town, but you will truly be able to relax here. Drive through the streets of this Historic old town and you will see cute coffee shops, unique local vendors and a variety of restaurants to try.

Or, if you love outdoor activities, northern Idaho has many amazing options. You have several beautiful lakes nearby for water adventures, plus golfing, hiking and biking trails, and scenic roads for a nice, leisurely drive. Seasonal family fun at the Silverwood Theme Park is only 15 minutes away with the worlds longest wooden roller coasters and giant water park. The park gets spooky as it transforms itself into "Scareywood Haunted Theme Park" during the month of October.

Coeur d'Alene is just 30 miles south, so a trip into the big city to discover great shops, museums, and restaurants is only a short drive away. Spokane, Washington is also easily reachable, about 40 miles west.

A stay in this lakefront, spacious, one-of-a-kind Lake Coeur d'Alene vacation rental will be a perfect gateway to a vacation filled with adventure!

Lovely lake front property, true cabin feel. Beautiful common areas with great light and windows and views of the lake.

This home has a million-dollar view of Spirit Lake. We enjoyed our stay because it was spacious and had plenty of room for a family of 5. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/utensils along with a few other items. We loved having private access to a beach, dock and fire pit. All the bedrooms have a view of the lake, beds are ok and the neighbors are quiet. We would come back here again for sure. The location is great. It’s a short drive to town and it’s close to a few trails for hiking.
While this house is comfortable there are a few things that could be updated to make it even better. The indoor stairs are a little wobbly and so is the hand which is tough for elderly and young kids. The AC unit worked but kept falling off the window. It would get a bit stuffy during the day with no cross breeze. Bring your own beach towels. The rules listed on the fridge asked that you don’t use their bath towels as beach towels, yet no beach towels were provided. We tried to buy some in town but couldn’t find them anywhere. It would also be great if they provided kayaks or paddle boards. We rented them down the road but had to return them at the end of every day. Lastly, the walk down to the house from the road is steep and could be hard for elderly or young kids.

2 stars because of it's location and the number of occupants it can accommodate.

A bit dated decor but definitely part of it's amazing charm. Nice location and was a wonderful place to relax and socialize with our group...Lots of table Games, Movies available and seating outside on the deck as well as at the water front. We would have liked to use the fire pit but didn't because of the fire ban in effect...We really had a sweet 2 night stay and wish to thank the owners and management group for all your hard work to provide a place for us. Would have loved to have spent an entire week in this gorgeous setting.

Kids and adults all had a very good time. Lots of games provided and the linens were comfortable. The home is situated very well and stays relatively cool when it is so hot. The kitchen is very well stocked and the grocery store is very close. Everyone we met was cordial and very helpful. We had an amazing time and would return.

A total of 8 adults stayed in this house for the weekend on the lake and it was a perfect size for us. We tied up our 21 foot long speedboat at the dock in front of the house (3.5 feet deep) and enjoyed boating on beautiful Spirit lake whenever we felt like it. There is a bar/grill that you can boat up to, but we ate most of our meals at the house. The house is outdated, needed more air conditioning, and you have to walk down a hill from the parking spot, but it fit our needs well. We drove to the Festival in Sandpoint one afternoon, only a 40 minute drive. Overall, it was a very fun weekend at this waterfront home.

We stayed here bc we had a wedding to attend in Blanchard Idaho and needed enough room for 6 adults and 4 children. There was plenty of room and perfect amount of beds and seating. It was close enough to attend the wedding sat night and close enough to Silverwood. Kids loved playing on the dock and swimming in the water. Wish we would have brought some floaties though. Everything we needed in kitchen was provided and plenty of towels/bedding. Place could use some a/c and some updating but overall very nice! Great weekend!

Can't beat the location or views. Direct access to lake and easy drive to town for grocercies, restaurants or lake rentals. Tucked away from roadside and quiet, quaint spot for small family reunion. Plenty of outdoor chairs to enjoy lake views and evening fire pits.

We love this cabin with it's big windows and beautiful lake views. Dock is very nice. Very convenient to Silverwood Theme Park. Spirit lake is a nice little town.

Love this place. Extremely unique in decor and design. Kind of fun trying to figure what all the light switches do. It's a crapshoot! A fun little adventure to start your vacation.

We simply loved everything about this place. Well kept and comfortable, with gorgeous windows and view. One bedroom on main floor, the other bedrooms require stairs. Loved the beach front yard too!

This house has a gorgeous view of Spirit Lake and is very quiet and peaceful. It is also close to Silverwood Theme Park. The town of Spirit Lake offers a great coffee shop with great service and tasty pastries. The property is quite dated, but we found it in great need of cleaning from windows to floors. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay there.

Great location on the lake. Would be much better if the house was updated. It has old carpet, flooring, appliances, etc.
Rebecca R. Aug 2016
The house is extremely well designed for comfort and relaxation. Everything you could possibly need. Perfect for a family with children to enjoy the lake. The dock and beach are peaceful and so easily accessible. The view is beautiful. We could have stayed forever.

This was a beautiful spot on the lake, very quiet and great for family with kids. We loved the bunk house. The house was clean and spacious. However, very outdated kitchen, old carpets, lacked screens, beds and pillows not great quality. Basement was musty. Lots of knick knacks all over so felt I was in someone else's house rather than a rental property.

Great place for
Our family! We had great weather and the cabin was great. Spacious and clean. Amenities were not that outdated and everything worked. Would love to go back again!
Scott G. Jun 2016
The cabin may be a bit dated but it is a cabin. The lake is beautiful with warmer water to enjoy from the dock. Silverwood is close by (15 minutes away). The launch is shallow and the dock is in shallow water. Bigger boats beware.

We loved the house right on the lake! It was a unique build, which we enjoyed. We went to Silverwood during the day and fished and watched movies in the evenings. Kitchen was great for making meals. Comfy beds with plenty of room for all. One thing I really appreciated was the different colored bath towels... We always knew which one was "mine"!

Not super fancy, but we liked the house more than some more expensive ones we've stayed in. It's a great house with a good set up. We had 6 adults and 4 kids. Fit us all easily. (One thing worth noting is that the upper bedroom is a loft. You can't see into it from below, but it's not completely private in the sense of being walled off.)
We were worried that the bunkhouse would be a little too rustic, but it was great. It's a nice room with electricity, just doesn't have a bathroom. Kitchen is nice and had everything we needed.
The lake is lovely and quiet. (We thought the description said only 1 1/2 baths, but there are actually 2.)
The lake water is very clear and much warmer than at bigger lakes. (While the house itself stayed quite cool, I guess because it is shaded)
The lake is quite shallow near the house. The beach is not fine sand or anything--you're better off with shoes, but once you're in the water, it's fine to be in bare feet. That being said, my kids are kind of wimps about some things--they didn't like to walk in the water because it is very squishy, silty mud in that area. Nevertheless, great place for the kids to swim around, paddle board, canoe, etc. Great beach and dock to sit on during the day or evening.
Very convenient to town and there is a big, modern grocery store as well as a coffee shop with free wifi.
Very convenient to Silverwood amusement park as well (which we love).

The house is well off the main road, so no worries about being too close to road noise or traffic or kids going into the street.
We had no problems at all.

The view was amazing. Very peaceful and quite. Very relaxing. Great place for a large family. Even our sister trip. Thank You so very much.
