We enjoyed our stay at 351 Low Oak Woods. Very short bike ride or 8 minute walk right onto a beach path. We had cocktails or morning coffee out on the deck, and really enjoyed the screened in porch in the late evenings. We were returning to Kiawah Island after about 20 years and were pleased with the new amenities on the island (a grocery store!). The beach is fantastic. We will return.
Beautiful house a few blocks from the beach. Everything was bright and clean and worked out perfectly for us
We booked this rental for our sons wedding so my extended family could stay all together. To start it off with, the owner actually left a day early so I could get there early. It was so much better than I much room so all of us could spread out..tons of outdoor living area, screened in porch got a ton of use, kitchen-OMG, so well stocked. just so much clean-towels, bedding, floors were not gritty..plenty of parking.. I would re-rent this house again and again..
This is our "Kiawah house" according to the little ones. 7 or more stays here and will return next year.
We have stayed in many houses on Kiawah Island in the past 35 years and this is by far the favorite. This is our second stay in this beautiful home as a multi generation family. We have 6 children ranging in age from toddler to teen, add parents and grandparents and this house has ample space for all. It is lovely, comfortable, spacious and clean, all the things you hope for in a vacation home. The owner has taken great care in providing every amenity to meet your need and takes great care and pride in the condition of this home. It is only a short walk or bike ride to the beach which means everyone can come and go on their own schedule. This house meets our needs perfectly and we hope to stay here again and again!
We just finished our family vacation at 351 Low Oak Woods and we had a wonderful stay. We had eleven people spanning three generations at the house and it was very comfortable. Having six bedrooms and six bathrooms to spread everyone out was really great. The kitchen had every utensil and every pot and pan that we could ever need. The refrigerator looked new and the ice machine was an added bonus. We really enjoyed grilling fish on the back deck and spending the evenings on the screened in porch. The beach is just a short walk away and the bike paths cover the entire Island so it is easy to get around. Freshfield Village has a grocery store, restaurants and other shops that everyone enjoyed. Don't miss the Monday night farmer's market. We got fresh fish and shrimp that we would never have at home. Beachwalker Rentals was very helpful when we were checking in and out. They contacted us and let us know we could check in early. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and we will be going back soon. I would recommend this place to any family as a great place to vacation. Our only regret was that we didn't stay for two weeks.
This was a beautiful house and accommodated our group well...three families and there was plenty of room for all. The house was well cared for and close enough to the beach to walk within 5 minutes.
Excellent location - Spacious – Clean - Perfect for families - Pictures do NOT do this house justice. LVG SPACE: 6 adults/2 toddlers spanning 3 generations & plenty of room under one roof w/more than enough space to find your own nook. (FL1) open plan kitchen/dining area sits adjacent to screened-in porch w/a picnic table perfect for children made it very conducive to family dining w/o feeling claustrophobic. (FL2) card table and sofa. BEDS: Each bdrm tastefully decorated & quiet airy - 2KGs w/ensuites (FL2 & 3) allowed both couples privacy - (FL2) 2Qs allowed my mom & sister their own respective retreat – w/own bathroom X from Bdrm. (FL3) 4TWs allowed my 4 year-old a plethora of bed choices w/ample space for crib – (FL2) 2DBLs we dubbed a “snoring” room, perfect if one’s partner wakes you up. BATHS: galore - no waiting for showers (FL1) PWDR RM perfectly stes by front door – (FL2) – 2 in hall & 1 ensuite to KG – (FL3), 1 ensuite to KG. LOCATION: walking distance to beach. Only drawback - lack of public restrooms at beach so had to walk back to house. With stroller it was approx.10 min. walk to boardwalk. My only trivial comment - there was no radio in house which I found odd - we all love background music during meals and hanging out. Had to play music via speaker from iPhone. Owners should add a radio with a dock for smart phone just in kitchen which is the epicenter of the house. The DVD player was a lifesaver on rainy days for kids’ movies. LAUNDRY – off kitchen area & helpful for cleaning 2 toddler’s wardrobe changes of 3x a day! I’d also confirm with mggmt cleaner arrival time will be after check-out (10am) – they came at 9am, blocked driveway and acted annoyed that we weren’t yet out. All in all – we collectively LOVED this house - my 4 year old now calls his beach-house!
This is a large home with plenty of living space for multiple age groups and activities, it's an easy walk or bike ride to the beach.
351 Low Oak Woods is the ideal house for a fun time in Kiawah. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood just minutes away from the beach. I cannot imagine anyone ever having complaints.
We had been owners on Kiawah since 1978 and recently returned for the third time as renters. Our expectations were met in every way as grandparents, children, and parents all had a great time. Previously we had rented ocean front homes, but this location was almost as good and certainly less expensive.
This house has EVERYTHING AND THEN SOME for a big family gathering!! Had such a great Christmas together with 15 of us from 4 states! The house has so much room to spread out, or congregate together! The kitchen is equipped with EVERYTHING (and then some!!)that you might need!!! Only idea of improvement is another refrigerator accessible to guests...we used the screened-in porch for coolers for adult beverages and kept fruit out there since it was December and cool, so summertime rentals would have to get more creative indoors (or go to Costco or Harris Teeter more often!) We cooked in every night because of the fabulous kitchen. Loved shopping at Harris Teeter's nearby, as well as strolling around Freshfields Village, and spent one day in Charleston at the Market. Bike rentals were well-used and enjoyed. Last night there we all agreed it was the BEST house we could have rented!! Thank you for a most awesome place...from one WV family to anothe
"We love this house. Our family has stayed there several times, all without a single issue. One of our favorite parts about the house is that its large yet extremely comfortable. On this occasion my in-laws came and spent a couple days with us. Besides being blown away over where we vacation, my mother-in law had never been to the ocean. It was magical for her and what a great beach to do it on! Its the kind of place that doesn't require a lot of entertainment. Maybe a bike and the beach. Pure heaven! We will be back. Jack and Becky R. from West Virginia
The house at 351 LOW's was ideal, not on the beach and yet close enough for everyone to enjoy the walk even though we had an 8 month baby. The daily bike rides to ocean club, breakfast at the club, lunch at the sanctuary, kayak and boat trips were the highlights. And the Beach, ah!!! The house was everything one can ask for. The kitchen even kept a Chef busy! We have been doing this for over 20 years, loved it every year. We had 8 families, 52 people including 10 children from 6mos to 6yrs spread over 5 houses and very one enjoyed very minute.
Had a fantastic week at this large home that was both large enough to accommodate young and old but also was cozy enough to allow for multiple groups to have fun simultaneously. Loved ping pong and foosball tables and proximity to beach. One or two small issues were quickly addressed by service team.
It was tops from beginning to end. Very professional and friendly rental company and beautiful home.
The house perfectly matched the description and photos -- huge and beachy. We would have liked non-stick pans for easy cooking and clean up, but everything we needed was there. Our positive rental experience contributed to my daughter's dream wedding on the beach. We are already talking about returning to Kiawah again soon.
All of our children from around the US met us in Kiawah for Christmas. The house was perfect. The bedrooms/bathrooms were just what we needed. The granddaughters loved the twin beds! There was plenty of space for everyone to gather and to have quiet space also. The kitchen is very well equipped and the screen porch was lovely. Short walk to the beach was great. I would highly recommend this home as a wonderful space for your vacation.
