Dog-friendly home w/family-friendly atmosphere-steps to beach
This large house comfortably accommodates family gatherings. Only 2 short blocks to the beach, this home sits on a lagoon-lined cul-de-sac with very little traffic. Located in the West Beach area, this home is centrally situated on the island with easy access to Freshfields Village and the Sanctuary. This area of the beach tends to be less crowded as the neighborhood is primarily single-family homes. The master bedroom, with a king-size bed, is secluded from the rest of the house and has its own sitting area. One additional bedroom has a king-sized bed. The other 4 bedrooms all have queen beds. In addition, there is a loft above the main living area; it includes 4 twin beds, lots of toys, and a piano to keep kids of all ages entertained. The kitchen has just recently been renovated and new pictures will be posted shortly! There is a high chair and small kids' table available in the dining room. The gas grill is located on a deck off the dining room. There is also a screened porch with very comfortable furniture, a great way to relax after a day on the beach! There are two sitting and television areas allowing for different entertainment needs. The main living room has 3 new couches & new flooring (March 2018) and a game table, so everyone can find a place to relax and call their own! Your family-friendly pet is welcome. This non-smoking vacation rental property includes parking, 24-hour security in a gated community, central air conditioning, cable TV, internet, a DVD player, fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, linens and bath towels, a departure housekeeping service and a starter supply of paper products and detergents.

We had a large group for a wedding with family and friends. This home allowed for plenty of room and seating to have the groomsmen get ready and celebrate the CATS win in the Belk Bowl the next day. The home accommodated these events very well.

The house is nestled among trees and a five minute walk from the beach. It has a well-equipped kitchen and room for our group of 12 around the dining table. There is plenty of seating for all of us in the living room, also! Hope to return soon!

House accommodates a large family group and is spacious enough to still have privacy and personal space. A good value for the cost. Excellent support staff! All as advertised.

Not only was this house set up perfectly for a large group of people, it was so comfy cozy and had everything we needed.

Location was terrific as the house is a short walk to a beautiful beach.

We had a party of 16 (4 families, with 7 under 21), and this home was a great choice. There was plenty of space, and a big enough kitchen that was well appointed (the only thing it was missing was a cleaver). The outside temperature was in the 90's all week, but the A/C kept the entire house cool. The location was great, quiet cul-de-sac, one block from a great section of the beach, and convenient to Freshfields Village. We've stayed in several different houses on Kiawah over the years, and everyone agreed this one was great. Would definitely stay here again.

All our children ,spouses , grandchildren and 2 of their girlfriends along with my parent's former neighbors had a great time . The house is big enough for a lot of action , reasonable privacy , and is close enough to the beach that no one cared we had to walk a few minutes each way. I would have preferred to have had an outside shower for us to use when we came in from the beach. We have been to Kiawah for the past 40 years and always could wash off before coming inside . In the big picture that was a little bitty thing. The managers were available and responsive to the questions we had. Everyone in our family really enjoyed staying there. They all want to return next year . That is as good as it gets for an endorsement."

The house and location were absolutely perfect! It was just a short walk to the gorgeous, private beach. The home was comfortable, well equipped and nicely decorated. There were a few minor maintenance and housekeeping issues that once corrected would make it a 5 star rating for us.

We had a wonderful family vacation. it is a very comfortable home for a large family. It was incredibly well stocked in the kitchen to prepare Thanksgiving dinner and had a large enough table to accommodate the 10 of us! thank you for sharing your home away from home with others. It was a great memory for our family.

What a fabulous time we had at 70 Spotted Sandpiper. The location was perfect. A short walk, or bike to the beach and tucked just enough away that there was some privacy. The house had plenty of room for the 14 of us, including couples, singles, and children. For most of us, this was our first trip to Kiawah, and what a wonderful way to experience it for the first time.

We were a family of 11 adults and one infant. This home was perfect for our family. Everyone had their own space, plenty of bathrooms for getting ready in the morning and in the evening the screened in porch was a favorite! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the grill on the deck was great. The location to the beach was perfect and the garage held all of our beach stuff. The home is a little outdated, the beds weren't the most comfortable and the dishwasher leaked but overall it worked very well for us."

The home is very well equipped to handle a family that likes to cook and eat at home. We have rented this home in the past and it accommodates our family very nicely and is convenient to the beach.

Stayed at 70 Spotted Sandpaper for a week playing golf with old buddies. House is showing a little age but was great for us. Plenty of sleeping capacity and bathrooms for morning showers. Also room for all for cards, tv viewing and deck time. (TV needs upgrading.) Most golf less than 15 minutes away as were on island restaurants and grocery store so location was great. Forty five minutes to Charleston and the airport.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at 70 Spotted Sandpiper! It was clean, spacious and at a great location. The playroom and loft with twin beds was the perfect spot for our kids to hang out. This was our first trip to Kiawah, and one we will most certainly repeat!
