Very nice property - beautiful home. We treated with extreme care, as if it were our own. TVs in every room, nice towels and linens. It is located very close to a major thoroughfare, so it was noisier than we anticipated, but not terrible.
On the negative side, there were two vehicles parked in the garage so we couldn't use them. The carpet in the living room was filthy, with dirt and leaves obviously tracked in from the backyard. The practice of charging tenants $75/day to heat the hot tub is outrageous. It is our understanding that it is illegal for a landlord to make a profit by overcharging for utilities. $300 for heating the HOT TUB for 4 days is unacceptable. If you advertise that you have a hot tub, it should be hot. (It was in the contract, but we were late to make a reservation and had little could be that this was one of the few properties remaining for that reason.) The tiny bottles of shampoo and the small soap bars that disintegrated by the second shower (one bottle and one bar for each bathroom, to last the week) suggested a cutting-cost attitude that does not match the quality of the house. A little nicer amenities would make the renter feel more appreciated, for very little additional cost...which would then elicit a more positive review.
