Escape into the scenic mountains of North Georgia at this one-bedroom Sautee Nacoochee cabin, a secluded, dog-friendly retreat with a private hot tub and firepit, a screened porch with woodland views, and wonderful access to state parks, the Chattahoochee River, and much more!
This rural, single-level cabin sits four miles north of downtown Helen, which is known for its darling shops and Bavarian-style charm. Head down to Helen Tubing & Water Park to spend summer days on the river, explore the natural wonders at Unicoi State Park (two miles west) and Smithgall Woods State Park (seven miles southwest), and take long country drives to admire beautiful fall foliage.
The living space is full of local pine, and offers such conveniences as free WiFi, central A/C, and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Sip your morning coffee on the screened porch, take your dogs for memorable excursions to Anna Ruby Falls (two dogs under 30 lbs. are welcome for a nightly fee), and spend your evenings unwinding in the hot tub and telling stories around the firepit.

Off the beaten path, everything one couple needs!
Super clean and updated cabin. Well stocked with linens and dishes. Nice and secluded but not too far from things.
Very cute, clean and in a very nice spot in the woods. We felt safe and relaxed here! We had all we needed for a perfect getaway in the mountains.
The cabin was very nice and clean and well maintained. It was well stocked with towels, sheets, and other such things. The things we noticed are big hole in the driveway that should probably be filled. Also, the screen on the porch should be fixed. We were unable to leave our dog on the porch because of the screen not being secured making it easy for him to escape.
Thank you so much for staying with us, Jaime! We appreciate your feedback. There is an area of sunken earth to the side of the driveway, but this should not pose any obstacle or accessibility issue for guests. The drive into the complex is maintained by the HOA. The porch screen has been repaired. We look forward to hosting you again soon!
Great location and peaceful environment. Really clean and nice. Definitely would stay again.
The cottage was lovely the hot tub great, would stay there again
Loved the remoteness of the location
Was able to relax and enjoy the quietness
Local grocery store had all we needed so little time was spent on gathering supplies
Once we where there and settled in there wasn’t much we needed outside of the cabin
Would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone
Very clean, and quiet location, close to Helen.
We loved the cabin in general. Location was good. It was quiet. Loved the hot tub. Very comfy cozy like home
Quiet rustic cabin just perfect for a weekend get away.
I loved everything about the cabin. It was a nice break from reality. Will definitely be back and already recommended to a friend who will be booking.
Super clean, quiet and peaceful! Definitely will stay again!!
I love the area, it was clean,
Great location, clean and just the right size for our little family. Would definitely rent again, without hesitation.
everything was so clean and the setting was peaceful
The house was absolutely perfect, clean and very well organized .
Definitely what we where looking for .
No too far from Helen but also not too close, you’re hearing the bird singing in the morning .
Gets very dark in the night , but you’re inside the forest , don’t get scare and enjoy
Beautiful cabin in a peaceful forest where we had a wonderful and relaxing time. In the evenings we would make a fire and gaze at the gazillion stars in the sky. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi tremendously. We would definitely come back. The cabin is equipped with everything necessary to spend a wonderful time away from the daily routine in the city. If you feel the need to socialize, you can always drive a few miles to Helena Alpine, a charming town nearby. You have cute shops, nice German style restaurants and cafes, and "Betty supermarket". You may go river tubing around the town if you so choose. Locals are very kind and hospitable.
The cabin was clean and the mattress very comfortable. The reservation agents were helpful with inquiries and the Welcome packet is organized and useful. With limited cell service, it is a perfect place to unplug. The accommodations are basic and, if you plan to cook, bring your own food accoutrements (kitchen is not even equipped w S/P). Caution: while you do not need a 4-wheel drive to access, my low-sitting Mercedes struggled to navigate several potholes.
The wife and I had a great time enjoying the tranquility of this quaint place
My husband and I enjoyed the peaceful wooded view from the deck.
