Classic mountain cabin in the woods just steps from the river!
A paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, and anyone in need of a peaceful escape. Enjoy a wilderness experience with the comfort of modern amenities in an area that’s called Elk Meadows for a reason. This mountain cabin lies among the elk and evergreens, where you’ll find calm and create lasting memories. The cabin features custom woodwork and cabinetry throughout, and a huge covered deck to enjoy your morning coffee, soak up the summer sun, view the vibrant vine maples in autumn, and watch the snowflakes fall in winter. The modern cook’s kitchen is equipped with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances including a dual fuel double oven. Other features include a 4K High Def LCD LED TV and Blue Ray player (for movies and CDs) and a Bluetooth receiver and speakers to play music right from your phone. The open floor plan is great for gatherings and offers amazing natural light. Each floor features its own bedroom and bath for privacy and convenience.
Without ever leaving Elk Meadows, head outside to watch local wildlife, take a 5-minute walk to the Yakima River (a blue ribbon trophy trout stream) for kayaking, rafting and fly fishing, and ride mountain bikes in summer. Expand your range for swimming, paddle boarding, and boating at Lake Cle Elum, hike hundreds of trails at Salmon la Sac, the Teanaway Valley and Hex Mountain, bike paved trails at Suncadia or mountain bike the Rat Pack or Iron Horse Trail. Go horseback riding or feel some serious horsepower dirt biking and ATVing on nearby trails.
Come winter, snowshoe right out the front door and make snow angels in the yard, or venture out for cross-country skiing at Cabin Creek, tubing, downhill skiing or snowboarding at one of Snoqualmie’s 4 ski resorts, ice skating at Suncadia’s outdoor rink, or arrange a holiday sleigh ride. Snowmobile rentals and tours are available nearby at the Last Resort on Lake Cle Elum.
Visit the historic coal mining town of Roslyn where the hit TV series Northern Exposure was filmed (and parts of the set are still up today). Stroll the Sunday Farmer’s market in Roslyn from June till September. Grab a beer and a show at the famous Brick Tavern (Washington’s oldest continually operating saloon). Find a good read at Basecamp Books & Café, get a pint at Roslyn Brewing, and grab a bite at Village Pizza or Roslyn Mexican Grill. See a flick at the historic Roslyn Theater. Visit Swiftwater Cellars for a flight or indulge in a spa treatment at Glade Spring Spa. For a fine cup of joe, don’t miss Pioneer Coffee in Cle Elum.

Great open living area, new and clean with all the amenities you need. Great back porch.
Beautiful location. The house was extremely clean and very comfortable. Gorgeous back porch and close to town. I highly recommend this cute place!!
The home was more than we expected. It was beautiful, comfortable, beds were great! Kitchen was stocked with pots and pans. We loved having coffee on the large back deck.
Quiet, comfortable, and relaxing!
This home was a surprising find. The details dont do the home justice. This home has 3 levels, main floor with 1 bedroom and full bath, kitchen, dining and livingroom with 2nd level Loft bedroom and bath (walk in shower). The loft also has a sleeping space for a small child. The basement has 1 bedroom with crib, and bath with stand up shower. Lower level also has stacked washer and dryer.
The location is ideal for a break away from the hustle and bustle. We even were able to have a small wood fire in the firepit outside and then awoke to snow! What a delight.
The only recommendation is to provide better deck chairs for taking in the scenery and a grill for outdoor cooking. We brought our own which came in handy.
Additionally the fridge and cabinets are bare so you have to plan ahead to do a grocery stop as the nearest grocery is in cle elum which is 15 min east.
We were 3 couples attending a conference at suncadia and this was the perfect setting. I would suspect it might be crowded to have a family or more than 6 sleeping guests. Although it worked perfectly for us. Will return.
Quite getaway in a convenient location.
We rented this home for my husband's birthday and it is absolutely beautiful! It was very clean and comfortable. We would stay again!
Beautiful home with much more space than you expect. Secluded with scenic views and great comfort.
Nice and clean, comfortable
Loved the workmanship
Very comfortable stay in Elk Meadows. It’s a new home so every thing works and the quality of fixtures/appliances is high. The location is good but Google maps thinks the home is on Nighthawk, one street before It’s actual location. The kitchen is well stocked, it would be handy if pots and pans could be in one cupboard to allow a cupboard for the food guests bring.
We had a great time in Roslyn at the Sunday Farmers Market and the Log Show. We hiked one day toward Cooper Lake near just past Cle Elum Lake -3 good trails in that area.
The cabin is very well built and quiet. Lots of room in the combined living room/kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for cooking. Loved the afternoon sun sitting out on the deck. Close to so many places to visit, Cle Elum, Rosyln and Suncadia. If you are a golfer, hiker or want to fish, great location for all these activities and more.
Beautiful home, very quiet area only a short drive into Cle Elum
very comfortable house, nice and clean. Bedroom in the basement, kids called the “deep down” was too far away, but would work well if traveled with additional adults. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. Deck needed some furniture only had two resin chairs. Overall had a great stay and would recommend this house.
Love the modern-cabin design, beautifully done!
We stayed with my family and friends for a couple of nights in June and loved everything about the cabin. It was much larger than I had expected and incredibly beautiful. Loved hanging out on the very large deck overlooking the forest and a small pond. The cozy living room with gas fireplace was perfect in the evenings. We had a lot of fun playing games and getting away from it all. The first night we saw deer come through the backyard and i the morning 2 lovely wood peckers. The next day we took a very short walk to the Yakima River and hung out on the grass while dipping out feet in the cool river. Cle Elem and Rosylyn are very close for anything you need but I suggest just staying at the cabin. Can't wait to return in the winter!
This "cabin" is so much more than that! So beautifully detailed and having every amenity you need at your fingertips, it ended up being the perfect respite to take a comfy rest from camping and a week long whitewater kayaking trip. Clearly, every little detail had been thought through in advance, so we didn't have to worry about a thing.
Just a short jaunt from the fantastic whitewater and scenery of the Cle Elum and Cooper Rivers, and the waterfalls on South Fork Snoqualmie River at the pass... It is the perfect distance to have convenient access to everything, yet far enough away to really feel secluded.
This is next-level relaxation at its best. I think the deer and turkeys like it there too :)
I visited the Elk Meadows Escape last weekend with my husband and 2 kids ages 2 and 5 years old. We absolutely loved it. It’s gorgeous and spacious. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to actually cook. The beds are comfortable. It was peaceful and beautiful. My kids loved running around on the deck, the surrounding area, and playing in the creek. It was a 10 minute drive to downtown Roslyn and about the same to Cle Elum. We went on a lovely little hike one of the days that was a short drive away. When we were leaving my oldest son asked when we could come back :) My husband said it was the nicest cabin we’ve ever stayed in!
