OK, the thing that cannot be ignored is the neighborhood is "up and coming". You will not confuse it with Beverly Hills or Scottsdale. That being said, though it may not win any neighborhood of the year awards, we did not feel uncomfortable at all.
The inside itself was immaculate, had no complaints at all. 3 of the 4 beds were slept in and no complaints by any of us about the beds being comfy. The living room furniture was very nice and comfortable too. Kitchen well appointed, needed a toaster though. Appliances were top notch. Didn't use the BBQ outside, but it looked OK for what it was. Beautiful covered sitting area outside was nice in the evening.
LOCATION??? WOW, exit the driveway to the west, make a right on Presa and 7 minutes later you're looking for your River Walk / Alamo parking spot. Alamo Dome was not too far either. About 25 minutes to SAT airport, 15-20 to the Pearl.

This home is almost brand new - it has been remodeled using all upscale fixtures, appliances, etc. We felt very safe, with the driveway gate and door chime anytime someone walked in or out the front or back door. The neighborhood itself is very quiet - the neighbors all kept to themselves but the ones we interacted with were very nice. Some reviews mention noise, but it's no more noise than any other urban neighborhood. Yes, you can hear the train, but it's nothing that would wake anyone. The homeowner has provided sound machines in the bedrooms in case of light sleepers. The location is great, too - no matter where we went in San Antonio, we were only a few minutes away - I think we drove at most 15 minutes and that was to the airport. If we ever go to San Antonio again, we will be staying in this home!
