Oceanfront & in great neighborhood within walking distance of eateries & shops!

Enjoy a cozy cottage by the sea when you stay in this beautiful Nye Beach vacation rental. Just a five minutes' drive to bustling Newport, and with prime beach access, you couldn't get any closer to the beach without getting your feet wet.

Follow the little garden path to the front door, through the garden of coastal vegetation, and walk straight into a open living space with two walls of windows, offering natural light and spectacular views and sounds of the coast. Plop straight down onto the comfy couch and put your feet up on the ottoman. The blue recliner is perfect for reading the paper in the morning, or checking the weather on your personal device with the in-home WiFi.

A flatscreen in the corner is a great distraction on stormy nights: watch your favorite game show on cable, or pick a movie to watch from the provided video library - VHS and DVD options! Play some soft mood music on the CD player, or through the iDock. Of course, the best part of the house is the picture window, with a reading bench to sit with a cup of tea and watch the tide roll in and out.

Hungry after a day out in the sun? Head into the eat-in kitchen, where an auburn-stained dining table seats four and faces another glorious window. The kitchen is a fun spot, with a mosaic-tiled floor, shuttered cabinets, and white appliances. Cook up all your favorites, or simply store quick snacks - don't forget your own coffee for the coffee maker, or fresh fruit for the blender!

This one-bedroom, one-bath home is a cozy abode for 2 guests. Its single level makes this a great home for older guests and handicapped guests to get the most out of their beach experience. The comfy bedroom has a queen-sized bed with striped, nautical-inspired bedding and blue curtains. The bathroom has a walk-in shower stall, and the living room's sleeper sofa offers more flexibility for sleeping arrangements. You'll also have access to a super handy mudroom/laundry room.
Newport is a popular Oregon Coast destination and has many fun shopping and eating opportunities. Take a stroll to Panini Bakery, the Deep End Cafe, or Zach's Bistro. Walk the boardwalk and watch the fishermen haul in a fresh catch, or the sea lions sunbathing on the docks. Play in the sand, fly a kite or hunt for clams to make your own chowder.

This Oregon Coast vacation rental is sure to please with its warmth and charm. Enjoy your vacation here on the coast in your own private beach home!

We rented this house for our family of four and it was about perfect. The views are simply fantastic. The house is on the small side and the layout (have to go through the only bathroom to get to the living space from one of the bedrooms), is probably not conducive to anything other than a family. That said, the location is fantastic and the living space is spacious.
VICTORIA N. Aug 2019
Beautiful view and well maintained home. Very enjoyable visit and would come back.
Blaine S. Jul 2019
Beautiful view, close to downtown and the beach, quiet area, lots of kitchen utensils and clean.
Carol B. Jun 2019
This is a well stocked home and is comfortable to The beds even more comfy.
Walking distance to the stores and restaurants of Nye Beach yet a few bli is away for a calming evening watching the tide roll in
Highly recommend and I will be back
Brian B. May 2019
The location was perfect! A view of the ocean from the living room and within very easy walking distance to everything. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.
Rachel T. Apr 2019
Cozy cottage with a fantastic view of the ocean. Great location even in bad weather.
Mackenzie C. Apr 2019
This house was perfect for our 3 nights in Newport. I loved that we could walk into the town if Nye and have dinner, shop or grab a coffee.
The house provided everything we needed except extra toilet paper(bring a couple extra).
It was clean, had an amazing view and close to everything!
Read the reviews, we expected quirky and that’s what we got!
Would recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!
Benjamin B. Mar 2019
The location was incredible. Very close to many shops and restaurants, and a stones throw from the beach. The sound of the waves kept me very relaxed at night.

The place is very well equipped and everything you need is there, including board games for the kids.
Place was ideal for two adults and one child.

We will be back!
Sheila K C. Feb 2019
The view of the water and the lighthouse - what a special gift, all the while being comfortable in challenging weather. The directions were helpful and everything was there as promised.
Johnathan H. Nov 2018
The view was hard to beat. Such a great deal! Overall, we loved the place. This house was fully stocked with great amenities. It also provided much needed privacy.
Michael L. Oct 2018
It was a cute and quiet cottage with stunning views of the pacific ocean.
Rachel N. Oct 2018
sweet little cottage -very clean and nice place to watch whales or walk the beach or into town.
Wade Y. Aug 2018
Excellent stay. The layout was a bit odd, but the house was comfortable, well appointed, and had a great view. I particularly appreciated making breakfast on the well cared for antique cast iron skillet and seeing lots of whales from the main window.
Nestor P. Aug 2018
A very nice place to stay at the beach. Great view of the ocean from the house. Easy access to the beach and little shops around Nye Beach. We will recommend this place to anyone and we would love to stay there again.
Jessica S. Jul 2018
The house was in a great location with a great view of the beach. It was a little outdated, but very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others
Barbara B. Jun 2018
Location, view.
Julie C. Jun 2018
House was cute and perfect for 3 adults...the view was amazing! Nice deck for morning coffee and sunsets....the only negative was weeds and bushy grass that needed grooming around house and next to fence in front of house.
Manager response:
We'll take care of the weeds. Thank you!
Robert l. Jun 2018
Great view, lots of whales spouting off, even saw a baby seal nearly beached, but walked it back into deeper water. Grass/weeds in front of deck needs to be cut down and bathroom/bedroom placement is odd, but overall in good shape and a comfortable place to stay.
Debbie C. Apr 2018
We saw whales right from the living room recliners! (bring your binoculars). Very quiet and convenient place in Newport. It was easy to use the back road via Agate Beach to avoid the highway through Newport in coming and going. Thanks for a nice time.
Cheryl A. Mar 2018
Wonderful view from the front window, close to beach and easy walk to several restaurants. One of the bedrooms is a walkthrough, like a hallway, from the bacdoir to the main room. Dependent on your group size, this may be a non-issue. Just something one must be aware of and work around.
Penny C. Feb 2018
The views from the living room window are stunning!! The house is a very typical beach house and very adequate for your stay. There is only one bathroom, so if there are two couples keep in mind you’ll be sharing a bathroom and you have to go through the bathroom to get to the second bedroom and then that bedroom takes you to the back porch and the back door. It’s workable, but probably better suited for a couple and the 2nd bedroom for the kids? For a single or one couple it’s perfect. And the huge appeal is the view. I would stay again for sure.
Valorie D. Feb 2018
Beds could stand to be replaced. Couch has cigarette smell. Location was great. House was quirky, but clean. We would stay again, and hope the beds had been replaced.
Manager response:
We have cleaned the couch to remove the odor and advised the owners of the comments regarding the mattresses. Thanks!
Betty B. Jan 2018
This lovely small house is perched right near the edge of a bluff overlooking Nye Beach. We moved the kitchen table right over by the window and ate every meal there, played games there, and just watched the ocean change. The hosts provided deck chairs where we watched the sunset and shared a glass of wine. It really was heaven.
Teresa G. Dec 2017
There is no disposal or dishwasher in the kitchen, and this wasn't disclosed to us. The table only seats 4 if pulled out toward the kitchen, another thing the description failed to mention. The smaller bedroom is a passageway between the bathroom and utility room/rear entrance. It is very small; no room for even a nightstand. The exposed insulation around a pipe in the bathroom is an eyesore. There is an ocean view from the front windows, but the other windows face neighboring properties. The whole place has a shabby feel to it. Not as advertised.
Carmen K. Nov 2017
The perfect place to chill and do nothing or watch Pacific storms or the whales spouting and walk the beach or explore the wonderful little beach town of Nye Beach...
Kim D. Nov 2017
I stayed at the house for the weekend with my daughters and husband. It was wonderful. We loved walking in to Nye Beach to get a bite to eat and to walk down to the beach. The best part is being able to see the ocean from the house. The weather completely cooperated with us and we even walked around the boardwalk and went to the Newport Aquarium. All in all a great trip.
Becca G. Oct 2017
The house was well appointed and comfortable. You can't beat the view!
Denise B. Sep 2017
Great location - easy walk to Nye Beach restaurants and shops. The beach is not accessible directly from the house (only a short walk away) but the front deck provides a beautiful view where we watched whales and beautiful sunsets.
Evelyn K. Sep 2017
This was our family's second time to stay here and we hope to make it a tradition! The place is cozy, bright, clean and has everything we need. It is a wonderful location where we can walk the beach down to Nye Beach, hit a restaurant then BJs ice cream for desert and be home for the spectacular sunset view. It is easy to spot whale spouts during the day and the starts at night from the deck. We have been very happy here and look forward to returning again!
Pasquale C. Aug 2017
We were in Oregon for the Solar Eclipse, but the house was amazing for landscape, peace and ocean sound.
Lung H. Aug 2017
Good for ocean view and walking distance to shops and dining. A little bit of a walk to the beach, so if planning to spend lots of time there, probably want to look for something else. Otherwise, cute place. Thanks.
Gretchen E. Aug 2017
The house had a great ocean view. However, there is a large cliff between the house and the water. Getting to the beach is a 10minute walk.
The living room furniture was outdated, and felt like we were at our grandparents house.
Surrounded by unkempt houses and abandoned cars. We did not feel safe.
Manager response:
The furnishings of the home are a bit older, but it provides the beach cottage tone the owner prefers. We have asked the neighbor to remove their car from the back viewing area. Thanks!
KATHY M. Jul 2017
We loved our stay at this cozy beach front cottage and immediately felt comfortable and at home. The location on the Central Coast was perfect for us as our trip involved touring many of the scenic spots along the coast from Astoria to Coos Bay. The cottage was just as pictured and provided plenty of space for our family of four to spread out. The public Beach access was just steps away. Bring some firewood and enjoy an evening bon fire on the beach or just sit back on the front deck and take in the sunset. Nearby restaurants are just a 1/2 mile away. We'd love to recommend The Chowder Bowl in Nye Beach. Great food and great service. If your looking for something cozy and comfortable then give this cottage a try. You won't be sorry.
Tori M. Jun 2017
This is a great little spot! The ONLY thing I didn't like was the lack of easy beach access. You pretty much have to go to the Nye Beach access to get onto the beach unless you want to scramble down (and up) a very steep and slippy cliff. The house is quaint and adorable- very kid-friendly with games, toys, etc. The tech was top notch (great wi-fi) and the kitchen was pretty much brand new, which makes the house a perfect 5 for us! The lay-out is a little weird with the extra bedroom off the bathroom and laundry room, but with kids sleeping in there it doesn't really matter. We had a great stay and enjoyed the place very much.
Jeff R. Jun 2017
Loved the view and location. House was small and old. Beds were bad. House was outfitted well other than places to put things. Stayed with the family as part of a week long trip. If you stay with 4 people it needs to be with minimal gear as there's no where to put anything really.
Robert W. May 2017
Has everything needed. Old, but clean and comfortable.
Elizabeth M. May 2017
The views were wonderful, the cottage was very clean and uncluttered. Walking to Nye Beach was a daily treat. Would gladly come back again!
Meng W. Apr 2017
Very nice House to stay, we had great time there.
Robert C. Apr 2017
It was amazing to feel like we were home even though we were 32 hours away staying on the west coast for a whole week! It was our greatest decision to stay in a Vacasa home instead of a hotel. Their place in Newport, OR is located perfectly near all attractions, plus has a beautiful viewpoint of the ocean while just sitting in your living room. Vacasa delievered on everything they promised so I would definitely recommend them to everyone I know. And we will happily be a repeat customer!
Cailin O. Mar 2017
The house had everything we needed for four people. It was comfortable and in a great location to explore Newport. It's an easy walk to Nye Beach. We saw gray whales and sea lions from the big window
The house layout is a little odd, with one of the bedrooms accessed through the bathroom or from outside. It was no big deal with family.
Joseph B. Mar 2017
Great view of ocean, nice clean cottage.
Kristofer C. Feb 2017
Took M'lady here for a small vacation during my work weekend. We absolutely loved it! Very minor issues (doorknob, gap under door and microwave burnt popcorn when using the popcorn button), nothing crazy. Definitely an enjoyable experience. M'lady was quite pleased.
Greta S. Feb 2017
Parking is a problem if you have large vehicles. It barely hold two small cars.
Timothy K. Jan 2017
Nice location with a great view. Very small house, but it's all we needed. Clean overall, but the bed comforter had a large brown-yellow stain. Kitchen knives left a lot to be desired, so if you plan on cooking anything more complicated than top ramen, bring your own knife.
Darren T. Dec 2016
My family of four loved this cottage. It was super clean, comfortable, had everything we needed. Nicely stocked kitchen with dishes and appliances. Great heating system in it so that we stayed nice and toasty. Plenty of clean towels and linens. A beautiful view out the front windows and a very short walk to beach access, just a few blocks. Plenty of room at the back to park our vehicle. Really loved the living room because it was roomy and had two big windows to view the ocean. A large comfy couch and two recliners. Both bedrooms and the bathroom were a good size. It was great having a washer and dryer too .
Deanna L. Dec 2016
The cottage was small, but cozy; old, but charming, with interesting artwork throughout; not many TV channels, but lots of games/puzzles/books. Internet worked very well, though there was a problem for about half a day (out of 4). No dishwasher or garbage disposal, but the kitchen was well-equipped for meal preparation. There was no bathtub, but the shower worked very well; so did the washer/dryer. The best thing? The location at the end of Coast Street, with off-street parking and incredible views of the ocean. I'm already looking forward to a return visit!
Deborah W. Nov 2016
This is a great spot in Nye Beach. Kitchen well stocked if you want to cook. Tons of towels. Great view from the window and front porch. Walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. Beach access about 1/2 mile downhill from the cottage. Bedrooms are small, especially the second one, but the living space is large and comfortable. I would return.
Leah M. Nov 2016
Our group came to the house to get a lot of work done and to enjoy some walks on the beach. This property suited our needs perfectly. It's older, and a bit quirky in layout. But if you don't mind those details (and really, they are details), the place is wonderful: nicely furnished, plenty of linens, thoughtfully appointed in the kitchen, and the view from the main room, overlooking the water, can't be beat. Easy to walk to restaurants and the beach. I hope to return again. Thanks for a great stay.
Ryan F. Sep 2016
Had a great time at this property. Friendly people, convenient location, and would definitely come back again.
Jack S. Sep 2016
We enjoyed our stay with great ocean views. Photographing Newport and surrounding area was great. We will stay here again.
Evelyn K. Sep 2016
We really enjoyed our stay and hope to get back again soon!
Linda M. Aug 2016
The location of this beach cottage was fantastic. The view was so wonderful. There was no close access to beach that was safe. The supplies in kitchen and the puzzles and games were great. The beds really should be replaced. We loved waking to shops and restaurants
Ralph (Rick) H. Aug 2016
House is a small 2 bedroom older (50's) located on the bluffs over looking the ocean. The house was comfortable for the 2 of us though we might term it "Beach Shabby". The view is fabulous but the windows were very dirty so I had to clean them in order to better enjoy it. The kitchen and the bath are on the small side but ok and it was nice having the washer and dryer.
The walk down to the beach and then down to Nye and back to the house is very nice. You can enjoy a latte, clam chowder, or various shops at Nye.
The neighborhood is ok some newer homes some old. The house with the broken down car next door is a bit of an eyesore but what can you do.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider it again. We would recommend it to some of our friends but to those who require up scale accommodations this would not be for them.
Jessica M. Aug 2016
this beach house was amazing. I put the address in Google maps and found it pretty easily. and it is super close to everything! the house was beautiful and very clean. the house smelt good, everything was very comfortable I really was impressed with everything. that being said the only thing I think people should beware of its not ON the beach. it's on a cliff on the beach. so the photo of the beach right outside your window is a little misleading because it was a very beautiful view and being higher up made it more beautiful, you could see so much. but when it came to actually walk to the beach outside in the backyard just past the little white fence is a steep hill covered in plants. there is a rough little trail that we went down once, but honestly it was easier to drive the 2 blocks to an easier access to the beach. and I find it important to let people know they won't be able to walk in the backyard and be on the beach, that being said I will go back! I suggest everyone stay here, it wasn't bad price wise and everything was so beautiful!
Daniel N. Jul 2016
Cute and quaint, great location to downtown. To access beach you do need to go through downtown there is no shortcut. Had all the basic amenities and great view of the water.
Carol A. Jul 2016
Well appointed and stocked. Great location! Easy walking distance to a wonderful, quaint downtown and the beach. Great views!!!
Mara S. Jun 2016
Clean. 5-6 blocks from Nye beach shopping area. It was a little odd walking through the bathroom to get to one of the bedrooms.
Michelle S. Jun 2016
We adore Newport, and this cute and reasonably priced rental was such a smart choice -- why stay in a hotel room when you can have your own home away from home? The design of the house is very odd and getting any deliveries (i.e. food) can be a pain since no one is quite sure which is supposed to be the "front" door. There's also quite a lack of counter space in the kitchen, which can make meal prep a pain. But we deeply enjoyed our time here and would happily consider staying here again... But only if we bring our own bigger trash can! Those teeny-tiny trash cans were definitely not enough.
Aisling R. Jun 2016
This cottage was beautifully decorated and was very comfortably furnished for 4 people.
Linda W. Jun 2016
Great place for a vacation. The ocean, great restaurants and fun shops, we loved it!
Julie M. Jun 2016
The location was great and close to anything you may want to do in Newport. The property was clean and the neighborhood was quiet when we stayed over Memorial Day weekend. You walk about a block on a nice trail to get to a place to hike down to the beach, down and up a steep hill of sand. If you are not in good physical condition it is much better to walk or drive about 7 blocks to Nye Beach for beach access. The view from the house was perfect and we watched some beautiful sunsets. I would definitely rent this property again. The only improvement would be a front window that opens to hear the sound of the ocean from inside. The front window is big and provides a great view, and all of the other windows open, just not the front one, so not a deal breaker. We went for a family wedding, shopped at some great shops and ate at some good restaurants. The salmon salad at the Local Ocean was fabulous! Overall a great stay for the price.
Alina F. May 2016
We stayed in the Nye Beach Retreat for 3 nights, got married at Nye Beach, and this place was everything we had hoped! This was our first vacation rental, and we didn't regret our decision not to stay in a motel for a minute! The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and they really thought of everything! Bbq grill was a definite plus, as were the washer and dryer! The view from the living room made the television pretty much obsolete, loved the huge windows! Only downside was that there isn't direct beach access, but the Nye Beach turnaround is just 2-3 blocks down the street. Could not have been happier with this place... we will definitely be coming back!!!
Alexandr S. May 2016
Good place to have very good rest. Great view to the ocean.
Convenient location. Thank you for this time in this house.
Miriam M. May 2016
We wanted a quiet place on the ocean for our family to stay, and this was an excellent choice! Cute lighthouse decor. Well stocked kitchen and bath. Very comfy for us and our kids, totally beats a hotel!
Yesenia G. May 2016
All was good, the only thing was the trash bin was overfilling. We couldn't throw our trash into the bins.
Alison M. Apr 2016
This was a great little spot with a wonderful view of the ocean and it's close to town. The bedrooms are small, but can easily accommodate 4 people.
Gregory G. Mar 2016
Nice location. Although it is not technically beach access except way down the street. Everything you need is available in kitchen. Although more ice trays would be nice.
Jennifer M. Feb 2016
Very cute cabin!
Jeff H. Feb 2016
Having read the other reviews associated with the property, we knew what we were in for staying at this cozy home on the north end of Nye Beach. As a family of 3, it's great for us to get a place with separate spaces for the same relative price as an ocean-front motel room. It is an odd layout and the surrounding properties are a bit old guard for the relatively up-and-coming surrounding neighborhood, but you forget about all of that when you're sitting in the living room looking out at the waves rolling in. It's a short walk to some great dining options and beach access. For the price, I'd say it's hard to beat. Would recommend bringing some candles to liven up the air upon arrival.
Tony J. Jan 2016
This was a great place for two people. We loved the bench in the living room, the easy chairs and the few. It was fun watching sunsets and doing lots of reading. Will come again!
Jennifer B. Dec 2015
Great cute little place with great ocean views! Layout at the rear of the place is a bit funky, but worked well for our family of three. Living space and kitchen area is open, yet still cozy. A short walk to Nye beach shops/ restruants made it easy to get out & about when the weather subsided....This was a terrific place to spend a cozy winter weekend. Direct beach access, although the terrain may not be for everyone, was very convenient.
Molly M. Oct 2015
Newport is a great, friendly, artsy town and this house is absolutely perfect! The house was immaculate, and included everything you would need; from a hair dryer, to appliances, movies, games, a beach view, comfy bed parking and great location! We were able to park our car and not use it the entire time in Newport. Great food, the beach and cute little store were all walking distance from the house.
Joel H. Oct 2015
Worth a look.
Megan K. Sep 2015
Hubby and I shared a couple of very relaxing days here and enjoyed long walks on the beach. We'd certainly go back!
Carolyn M. Sep 2015
This is a comfortable lay back feeling little house, just what we wanted! beautiful views, nice kitchen, comfortable living room, but FYI if you are a very large person there are some setbacks. We are older folks that came with our middle age son that is 6'5 290lbs. The facia hanging from the roof is low, so watch your head, and there is only a VERY small shower stall in the bathroom.
Pamela P. May 2015
The house is adorable and although small, it worked for our family of 3. View is fabulous, except for the 3 apparently deserted automobiles parked in the front of the house. It would be nice if they were moved elsewhere. Not sure who they belong to.
Manager response:
We are delighted to see that you enjoyed the home. We will look into the cars and see what can be done about removing them. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!
George W. Jan 2015
The whole property was as described. Lots of cooking facilities, extras for what to do & see in the area. Property was clean, warm and inviting. We would stay there again. We enjoyed our stay.
The only problem was the instructions on how to find the property "sucked".
Manager response:
We are glad to see that you enjoyed the property. The Property Manager is working on providing better driving instructions so that our guests can find the home more easily. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!
Geno M. Jan 2015
For the money, the place should have been cleaner, specifically the bathroom. The place is cute and the view is obviously great.
Darla D. Dec 2014
This place was wonderful for the 2 of us. The kitchen had only a single sink and no dishwasher. It was not an issue for us, could be for any more than 2 people. As there is only one bathroom. Although with the incredible view, the close distance to Nye Beach with all the restaurants, and the affordable price. It would be a cgheap getaway for a small family or 2 couples. The living room is very comfortable and cozy. With a nice TV, DVD, Cable and ROKU. Yes we would definitely stay here again.
