Perfect for people wanting some remoteness yet convenience to Estes Park. The vintage furniture and family pictures were perfect for this space.

The lot was beautiful and isolated. Views were great.

When we first arrived, we thought it was a bit smaller than it appeared on the website. BUT, after having stayed there for a full week I can say all four of us loved it! The views were amazing, the town (only 5 minutes away) was so close but you would never know, and the property had many places for seating both inside and out. There were picknick tables and a tire swing, gas grill, two porches with great views, and the gas heater worked great (almost too great) even in 15 degree weather. (Make sure not to fiddle with the actual gas heater, just use the thermostat on the wall! - learned that the hard way.) The house is very old, bedrooms are small, but could easily handle four or five adults comfortably. In addition, when faced with white-out conditions, the property owner arrived without prompting to periodically plow the road so that we would not be stuck. Finally, I have never been so mistified by scenery and the closeness with wildlife that this property lent to us. At one point, three of us were standing outside making all kinds of loud noises, yet, when we turned around, a family of elk were within 20 yards of us. I have never seen anything like it. They were calm and collected, and when they traversed across the snow-laden yard, they bounced in such a spectacular way. I fully recommend this mountain getaway.

While we were at the cabin we got to experience two seasons. One day was fall, 60 degrees and sunny while the other day was 25 with 8" of snow! The cabin is quaint with my factor features being the fireplace, deck, picnic area and voted from the living room. All in all a great stay!

From the retro look of the cabin to the beautiful sunrises from the deck, we loved every second of our visit!!! We will come back!!
