This place was perfect for our family. It was in a perfect location, and had all the amenities from home. It was cozy and had an amazing view. We will definitely be back.

The house was very warm and inviting. It was set-up and furnished perfectly. Our family of 4 had all the space we needed, with all the amenities that mattered. Couldn't have picked a better place on the river and close to town.

This beautiful home on the Thompson River was the perfect location for us to escape the heat and humidity in East Tennessee and to enjoy RMNP with our son who lives in Longmont, CO. I chose the home because my daughter's boyfriend is an avid fly fisherman. The river just steps from the beautiful deck was a bit hit. The home was spotlessly clean and extremely well stocked with supplies. We enjoyed cooking on the grill and dining on the deck. At night we slept with the windows open and enjoyed the sound of the river. We'll always remember our visit in this house as the highlight of our trip was our marriage proposal by our daughter's boyfriend, now fiance that happened at Bierstadt Lake in RMNP. This home was an excellent place to celebrate the proposal.

The house was a great size and very clean. This is a great location and with the river it checks a lot of boxes for a getaway.

This home was comfortable, clean, spacious. Loved being able to sit on the deck or open the windows and see and hear the river, and loved being outside alongside the river. Thank you for the sweet gift for our graduate.

The amenities were very nice. Loved the location...close to town without hearing highway noise. Very convenient...

The home was immaculate, the beds were incredibly comfortable (I even ordered the same pillows they had on amazon during our stay because they were that good!), the amenities were all there (except wine glasses- you’ll need to bring some!), and the location is perfectly close to both town and the park. We loved it and will definitely be coming back!!

terrific unit, and beautifully furnished. Not second hand somewhat worn furniture in this place. And only 5 minute drive to RMNP entrance. Looking forward to returning.

We usually only choose properties with a decent number of good reviews, but the River Retreat looked great so we took a chance. It turned out to be a great choice, and we were very pleased with both the property, and the location. We could walk along the river to Coffee on the Rocks for breakfast followed by the obligatory feeding of the ducks. Downtown Estes is a very short drive away, or a very reasonable walk depending on weather and your group.
