We were so thrilled to walk into this condo after 2 days on the road from Ohio. Walking through the front door to see the view out the back was so welcome.
The condo is in a perfect spot to get to town easily and to RMNP. And, the view at the top of the entrance was stunning every time!
We truly enjoyed our time in Estes Park and our condo was always a welcome place to come home to.

Thank you

The location was just perfect, the river out back with the walking trail was just amazing....we saw a group of elk within minutes of arriving! My kids loved Estes Park, it was very easy to get downtown and also into RMNP. The house was spotless and had everything we needed, except a 2nd TV, which we knew going in, so that is literally the only thing I would change about it, everything else was wonderful. We had a great trip and I would definitely recommend this property!

House was very clean, well stocked and was roomy. Would stay here again. Great location and comfy beds. Lots of wildlife and close to town. Only two negatives, front door sticks. took us several attempts to get into the house. Dryer had a load of last occupants towels.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Jo. We are glad you enjoyed this home and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. We will work with our local team to ensure these items are corrected for future guests, and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

We loved our stay at River Retreat. It was so comfortable and the view was great. It’s location near the Beaver Meadows entrance was perfect. We will happily stay here again. 2 little things- we couldn’t find a dishcloth and there were no wine glasses. Those are definitely not reasons to decide not to stay here. The communication was wonderful. We were also very happy to be able to park in the garage since we had snow during our stay. We loved Rocky Mountain National Park and River Retreat!

Loved just about everything. The sound of the river nearby, deer or elk walking by daily was awesome. Missed that there was no tv in the main living level. Having to walk upstairs any time we wanted to watch tv was “ heck” on our old knees. Would give it. 4.5 stars if I could for no tv on main level.

Great location! You could walk to town. Enjoyed the relaxing Big Thompson right from the porch or a short walk to the bench.

Clean and comfortable. Being close to the mountain stream and a local coffee shop was just great. Also enjoyed the fact that it’s close to town with a lot of places to go and things to do. A great location to base a wide variety of hiking activities.

The house was very warm and inviting. It was set-up and furnished perfectly. Our family of 4 had all the space we needed, with all the amenities that mattered. Couldn't have picked a better place on the river and close to town.

This beautiful home on the Thompson River was the perfect location for us to escape the heat and humidity in East Tennessee and to enjoy RMNP with our son who lives in Longmont, CO. I chose the home because my daughter's boyfriend is an avid fly fisherman. The river just steps from the beautiful deck was a bit hit. The home was spotlessly clean and extremely well stocked with supplies. We enjoyed cooking on the grill and dining on the deck. At night we slept with the windows open and enjoyed the sound of the river. We'll always remember our visit in this house as the highlight of our trip was our marriage proposal by our daughter's boyfriend, now fiance that happened at Bierstadt Lake in RMNP. This home was an excellent place to celebrate the proposal.

The house was a great size and very clean. This is a great location and with the river it checks a lot of boxes for a getaway.

This home was comfortable, clean, spacious. Loved being able to sit on the deck or open the windows and see and hear the river, and loved being outside alongside the river. Thank you for the sweet gift for our graduate.

The amenities were very nice. Loved the location...close to town without hearing highway noise. Very convenient...

The home was immaculate, the beds were incredibly comfortable (I even ordered the same pillows they had on amazon during our stay because they were that good!), the amenities were all there (except wine glasses- you’ll need to bring some!), and the location is perfectly close to both town and the park. We loved it and will definitely be coming back!!

terrific unit, and beautifully furnished. Not second hand somewhat worn furniture in this place. And only 5 minute drive to RMNP entrance. Looking forward to returning.

Convenient location, tastefully furnished, well stocked kitchen.

We usually only choose properties with a decent number of good reviews, but the River Retreat looked great so we took a chance. It turned out to be a great choice, and we were very pleased with both the property, and the location. We could walk along the river to Coffee on the Rocks for breakfast followed by the obligatory feeding of the ducks. Downtown Estes is a very short drive away, or a very reasonable walk depending on weather and your group.
