Plein Air Point is the perfect combination of modern elegance and laid-back Keys living. Nestled at the end of Patricia Lane in Marathon, it’s surrounded on three sides by a Florida land preserve, a deep-water canal, and the Gulf of Mexico. This is a wildlife refuge teaming with birds and assorted aquatic life.
Plein Air Point is a place to be outdoors: boating and fishing, swimming and snorkeling, reading and painting; a place to plan your next move or start your Opus. And when you feel like soaking up air conditioning, instead, you won’t sacrifice the view. All but one room at Plein Air Point have expansive views.
A 90-foot deep-water dock provides immediate Gulf access. Launch one of our kayaks or paddle boards, go for a snorkel, or cast a line just a few steps from the backdoor. There are bollard lights on the dock for night-time fishing. A 35-foot heated pool and separate spa are nestled in a private, outdoor area that is covered in travertine pavers. Beyond that is sand, with slate Quoit boards and room to throw a ball. There’s plenty of under-house shade, comfortable seating options, and a four-burner Weber grill. The quiet neighborhood is perfect for cycling, and we have four bicycles
and helmets.
Most of the art works (prints) at Plein Air Point were painted by Joan Ross, the artist and designer whose original vision, along with her husband Bill, brought this home into existence in the late 1980s. This is a second-generation home which has been completely renovated and features a new master suite that spans the entire top floor.
