This house, located just south of the town of Waldport, has a beautiful view of the ocean. Although, Highway 101 is between the house and the beach. The house is circa the early 50s, and still holds the charm of an older beach cottage. Very comfortable furnishings and modern kitchen appliances. (No dishwasher) The rooms are bright with many windows and the three bedrooms were ample for five of us. One morning a deer trotted through the yard. Very quiet neighborhood and homes are separated by trees and bushes. Peaceful place to stay and relax.

The view was wonderful. Close to local stores but still far enough away to relax. Great historic decorations within the home. Loved it!

Perfect location. Excellent beach nearby that was almost to ourselves. Very clean and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Definitely would love to stay here again.

I loved how close to the beach this house is, the trail to get down there is super easy. House was adorable, reminded me of my grandparents home. Very cozy!
Jordan O.Apr 2019
We were all very comfortable. The house had everything we needed, INCLUDING FIREWOOD! The beach was a 2 minute walk from the front door and we could watch the sunset from the livingroom. Really loved this rental and definately will be back!

The view is amazing and the home is lovely. We had great customer service, fixed an issue immediately (nothing that needed to be fixed while we were there, but appreciated how quickly they responded).

Nice location, relaxing and worth the visit

This house was the perfect spot for my family, the house was in great condition and super close to a sandy beach perfect for my son to play. I would stay here again

Linda O.Jul 2018
Could see the ocean from the front room window

Adorable cottage. We loved the history that was provided about the cottage's origin. The location was perfect for us. The home was very comfortable. All necessary supplies were provided to make it a home away from home. Clean and comfortable! The only problem we had was that the bathtub/shower drain needs to be cleaned and the tub faucet is not permanently attached. Minor inconveniences for a comfortable, afordable stay.
The shower drain has been cleared, and we have securely attached the faucet. We appreciate having these things brought to our attention. Thanks!

This house has a great view, however it has so many problems I would not recommend it.
We have addressed every item on the list this guest provided after their stay. We appreciate receiving that feedback to work with.

Cute little vintage home with close access to the beach. Comfy beds. Back room has musty smell .
Carol P.Sep 2017
Location and view are good. House is right on hwy 101 so lots of traffic noise. House is clean but very musty.
April H.Sep 2017
The house was well furnished and clean even though older however the back room going off to the patio is badly in need of repair for what could be dryrot-there is a strong musty/moldy odor coming from that room. If you close the door and do not use that room, it is not really noticable at all. The view of the ocean was great and just a few steps across the highway and you are on the beach. The flat grassy area around the home gives lots of room for play, walking, and bbq. I would stay here again if attention was given to the repair of the back room.

Best part of this house is the proximity of the beach and the trail to it. The beach is wonderful very private and visible
From the couch inside the house.

This was our first time using Vacasa and this house is right across the highway from the beach. I should mention that you will have to walk through a narrow path of brush to get to the beach but it's not that big of an inconvenience if you are able. The beds are comfortable and very soft. The home is very clean and it had everything we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. There were plenty of towels stocked and we really enjoyed our stay. The only issue was that the propane grill hose was missing, a few of the nonstick pans were scratched and the pillows were flat but this home still greatly exceeded our expectations!
Thank you so much.

Comfy an great view of ocean. Very private.

Our little family of four loved this place. Great location, amazing views. Nice and quit, very kid friendly. The only down side was the back bedroom had a funky smell, I'm guessing due to the age of the house. We did not use that room for sleeping. It was still such a great experience. Everything else was clean, great beds and shower. The laundry was a life saver!
Ashley A.Aug 2016
The house was very clean and the beach across from the house was wonderful! Besides trying to cross highway 101 to get to the water there were no issues with the location of this house. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family!

We lived in Waldport for 16 years. We came to visit my Mom and spend time with her. We loved the house and look forward to future stays. It was absolutely perfect for us.

Comfortable, beachy home. Great for our quick get away to the beach!
Jeff M.Jul 2016
We had a great vacation here!! Quaint, cute, perfect location - everything a vacation should be = relaxing!
Scott J.Jun 2016
Busy 101 to cross but worth it
Tonya S.Jun 2016
The back yard was wonderful, the fire pit was used both nights, what a great thing to have. Family gathered there to laugh and watch the sunset. Access to the beach was great, town was close too. This will be our new home away from home. The kitchen is perfect for home cooked meal. Our daughter brought ladder ball, then we found crocket (?). So much fun. Thank you for letting us spend such a wonderful family bonding time at your home.

We could not have been more please with our stay at Seaway Historic Beach House Aug 2015. It was a perfect place for a reunion with my sister, daughter and my little grand dog.
The house is beautiful in an old-fashioned way. Comfortable and cute furnishings (beds are excellent), plenty of room for us to spread out with 3 BR (wish there was a 2nd bathroom). Great views of the ocean and easy ocean access down a short trail to a huge empty beach (chilly even in Aug) where we could run and play with the dog. There is not much in Waldport and they roll up the sidewalks (restaurants, stores etc...) at 8 or 9pm. There are a couple of restaurants and Yachats (a few miles down the road) has several as well - loved Ona's!!) No wifi but that was ok with us. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking needs (pots, pans, plates, and full kitchen appliances exc. dishwasher. We stopped at Blue Heron Cheese Factory near Tillamook - and did a lovely cheese and wine and other savories tastings and then got bread, cheese, marionberry preserves and homemade tortellini and wine for our first dinner at our little house. We would definitely return.
Reuniting with family is a special occasion and we are delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay in this charming home! Thank you for sharing some of the highlights of your experience with the home, as well as the area itself. We look forward to your return!

The only issue with this location is Hwy 1 - it is not that noisy, especially at night, but it is dangerous to cross. Vehicles are traveling full speed including the semi trucks. I would be very cautious with children going to the beach.
Cheryl L.Aug 2015
This is a great house to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. This was a great place for relaxation
Stephanie B.Jul 2015
It was a great place for my small family, loved how the beach was across the road.
Also no internet was nice, much to my teenagers displeasure.
Very clean and tidy, lots of little things toddlers can get their hands on though. Too many knock knacks!
Will stay again when the baby is older!
Steve M.Jul 2015
This is not a rental house this is a home.
Could not have asked for a better place to stay.
The sunset's were beautiful and the beach was amazing will definitely be going back for more memories and a great time for a summer vacation.
Mike S.Mar 2015
If you care about shiny new amenities and wifi, then this place isn't for you. If you want an inexpensive option right across the street from the beach (with a huge yard great for kids), then it's perfect.
Kimberly S.Jul 2014
It's all about the location of this cozy house. I sipped my coffee each morning with a view of the ocean, we spent long afternoons either playing in the sand or exploring the near by sites and towns, and photographed the stunning sunsets each evening. We really enjoyed the cozy and warm feel of this home. I call it "granny chic!" I was so grateful when Vacasa was able to work out a way for us to stay another night after I'd messed up our reservation, they were so understanding and accommodating. We had a lovely summer vacation here and will recommend it to anyone!

Our family of four had a wonderful time. The house was sweet and cosy and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The kitchen was very well-appointed, I was pleasantly surprised to find all the utensils we needed plus extras like a coffee grinder and hand mixer. The washer and dryer are very efficient and convenient. The area itself is beautiful and Waldport is an excellent spot from which to explore up and down the coast. Overall, everything about this holiday exceeded our expectations!
Dawna T.Aug 2013
It was great to have room to play croquet, walk across the street to the beach or just sit back in the recliner and watch the whales out the living room window (of course we had to get up and run across the street to get a closer look)
Melissa S.Jul 2013
It was a beautiful old cottage and it was nice to have everything there that we needed to make our own food and have a comfortable place to stay. Beds were more comfortable than some of the hotels we have stayed in. Everything we expected!
Herman D.Jun 2013
The house had great charm and we felt very comfortable staying here. The kids loved it and it was very convenient to have all the dishes and cookware available. I was very disappointed to find the master bedroom with a metal frame futon when I was expecting a full size bed, we had to switch rooms with the kids as my back and a metal frame futon dont agree with each other. VCR does not work in master bedroom but there is an Xbox that does. This house has great beach access and we loved the ocean view from the living room window.
Krista P.Jun 2013
This property is very clean. It is a little dated, but that added to the charm. We immediately felt at home and relaxed, it was like staying at Grandma's house. Great view of the ocean from the front yard, we really enjoyed sitting out there and watching the setting sun. It was really surprising that although it was right on Hwy 101, it was quiet and felt very private. The kitchen had everything that we could need to prepare and cook our meals. There are two BBQ's, your choice between gas or briquette. We will definitely be back and will recommend this home to our friends. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Would recommend staying at the Seaview house in Waldport. It was perfect for me, my daughter, her husband, their one year old daughter, my son and his girlfriend. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over the small fire pit in the back yard. While we were there the fire department came out to inspect the outside since the owner's have requested a permit for a bigger fire pit. So that would be a plus for future stays if they get it. The beach access is right across the street and we had the beach to ourselves the whole time we were there. The weather was a little windy at times but that didn't stop us from enjoying the water and sand during our stay. It is also just a short drive to Newport and Lincoln City if you are looking for more to do. We would definitely come back again and hope to do so in the near future.
We appreciate you taking the time to review this wonderful home. Thank you and please do return soon!
Harley C.Mar 2013
We really enjoyed our stay at the Seaway Historic Beach House in Waldport. The location is just across Hwy 101 from miles of wide, open beach. Access is very convenient, and a very short walk from the property. We highly recommend this as a peaceful, quiet "get away from it all" rental.
Thank you for your review! We hope you can come again soon.
Pearl S.Mar 2013
We had a wonderful time here. The weather was wet and stormy, however, with warm and homey accommodations we had a very nice time. The kitchen is fairly well stocked, and everything was very clean. It has a cozy little living room that we enjoyed during the stormy weather. We would rent here again.
we wish you would provide wi-fi.
Nicole K.Aug 2012
This is an older home, which makes it quirky and memorable. The location affords privacy, quiet and convenience.
Kelli M.Aug 2012
was a great property, and the house is very comfortable, and will be enjoyable, when a few updates are done. I recommend this house to everyone interested in going to a nice quiet spot at the beach.
Jennifer B.Aug 2012
I really enjoyed the view and the privacy it was like having are own little home away from home will defenetly keep you in mind when going that way agian.

PLACE FELT REALLY COZY AND HOMEY. LOVED THE LOCATION. WHEN WE ARRIVED WE SAW A DEER SITTING ON THE LAWN!
