This dog-friendly guest house boasts beautiful views of Mount Equinox and a field filled with Black-eyed Susans by late summer. The cozy interior with wood beam ceilings and a stone hearth will take you back to a simpler time while the back doors open up to a seasonal, fenced-in pool, as well as a gas grill and fire pit. The bedrooms are spaced out so there are two on the main floor and two on the second, with room for tons of seating everywhere else.
This house is conveniently located near Bromley Mountain and the town of Manchester, so there are plenty of fun and interesting things to do in the area. Bromley Mountain offers skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and a kid-friendly ski area. The Battenkill River, Emerald Lake, and Lake Shaftsbury are great places for tubing, kayaking, canoeing, fly fishing, and paddle boating. In Manchester, you will find shopping, restaurants, the Southern Vermont Arts Center, and Hildene - the Lincoln Family Home, a top wedding destination site and cross-country skiing location. There is also stunning fall foliage, scenic tours, and the Equinox Preservation Trust, and the drive up to Mount Equinox on Skyline Drive (the longest private toll road in the country) has some of the most spectacular views in southern Vermont.
