First thing-The location and View are Amazing !!
The house had everything we needed
Perfect for a weeekend getaway.
Reminds me of my grandfather's quirky old cabin.
Best view and access of a beautiful beach.
Warm and cozy getaway with a great view of the ocean. The kitchen had everything I needed for making meals, and the layout of the living area was perfect for reading for hours and taking breaks to look out at the ocean. I wish I’d realized the full history of the guest book earlier in the stay so I could have spent more time reading it, as it has entries going back to 1967!
Extremely cozy and rustic. Incredible view. Perfect for a weekend getaway, truly away from everything.
So very close to the beach. You can sit on the couch and see the surf! Crab Cottage is on the end of a dead end road so it was very quiet. Really appreciate being able to bring our dog. Crab Cottage is eclectic , rustic and basic, yet very comfortable. The deck has a bench around the perimeter but you should bring your own deck chairs.
This is our 2nd time staying at the Crab Cottage, and it did not disappoint. The location, with the mighty Pacific as your back yard, it unbeatable. Yes, its vintage...but take the time to read the guest book that has entries from the 50s when the original owners were building this little cottage. Reading their words, then staying in the cabin they built seems to make the Crab Cottage that much cozier. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need to cook with, the bathroom has more than enough clean towels ( and surprisingly great water pressure!), there are games and movies and a great gas fireplace for the winter/spring nights. We also love the geographical location as another reason to stay here. We are not a long drive from the beaches at La Push, Rialto Beach, and both the Hoh and Quinault Rainforests- all of which are great for hiking. The first time we went it was just my husband and I, the 2nd time we took our two teen boys who thought the loft was way cool. The cottage served both purposes (with and without kids) just fine. There is a brand new couch now which is super comfortable. We love The Crab Cottage, and we will definitely go there again!
The location for crab cottage can't be beat! Right on the beach & windows to watch the waves (& sunset). the cabin could use some updating, but that's reflected in the price. It seemed like the things the property management has control over (kitchen, bathroom, sheets, etc) was great, Even a new sponge in the kitchen. We did not use the upstairs - the downstairs seemed nicer & we didn't need the space. The sofa seemed new and the carpets were fine for walking on, there was an area rug over the living room area. We loved being right on the ocean and had a great sunset the first night. The second day was better weather and we walked and found fossils on the beach & flew kites. We were here in April on a "non-clam" tide day and the beach was nearly empty most of the time which was great! We were here with a 3 year old and had a great trip!
