My women's group of 7 was thrilled that all except 2 of us were able to have our own bed. We had plenty of space to lounge about, play games or get away from the group for some quiet time. It wasn't quite warm enough to eat outside on the deck but the views from inside the house more than made up for it.
Our group made good use of the 2 ovens, dishwashers & 3 sinks. It took a few tries to get the dishwasher nearest to the fridge to work. Thankfully the 2nd dishwasher was easier to figure out. The kitchen was well outfitted although we couldn’t find scissors and larger soup spoons. We had appetizers once at the round table in the living room but found it more comfortable for our group to use the counter for serving and to sit at the kitchen dining table.
We accidentally put some refrigerated items in the right freezer that was the same size & look as the fridge to the left. We ended up with frozen eggs, cheese, avocadoes & a few other items that had to be tossed & replaced as a result. When you open the door it does clearly say "Freezer" at the top but it was too late when we realized it.
The modern technology in the house was somewhat challenging for our group. We had some interesting experiences with the lighting as we were spread throughout the house & someone would push a button that would turn most of the lights on or off. It seemed that some of hallway lights may have been motion sensitive? Two of us were quite proud of ourselves when we figured out how (and where) to play a DVD on the big screen downstairs. I think you can use the main remote controller to play music throughout the house but we gave up on that.
Many of us walked down to the shore but none of us brought appropriate clothes for the kayaks or paddle board. Sat morning our group made the short drive into Grand Lake to shop & sit by the lake. In the afternoon a smaller group of us drove to RNMP for a short hike & enjoyed a beverage on the Grand Lake Lodge porch.
Our first night was somewhat cloudy but the 2nd night was perfectly clear. Those of us living in metro Denver forget how many stars are in the sky! We were hoping we might be situated where we could see the Northern Lights since it was forecasted as a possibility in CO Sat night into Sun morning but alas we didn’t see them.
The guest staying on the loft futon stated it was quite uncomfortable & moved to the couch the 2nd night. There was a window and sliding door that were marked as not working. We weren’t able to figure out how to get the master sliding door handle to turn to open that. One sink had the water turned off and when the person staying in that room turned it on realized it was turned off due to leakage – it was not marked.

The quiet and beautiful surroundings set the stage for a wonderful family get together. The home was amazing, and the details, such as the kitchen, fireplaces, multiple areas to gather, and the jetted tubs were enjoyed by all! The family wants to make this an annual location for our family!!

Our family loved this house! Beautiful views from every window in the home. Very large home - was able to accommodate our entire family of 13. From the kitchen we saw 2 bull moose and several deer. The decks were fun to sit at and enjoy the view. Kayaks were supplied and used almost every day by our family. Location is close to Rocky Mountain Nation Park for fun day trips. Kitchen is huge with 2 stoves, 2 dishwashers and 3 sinks. This provided plenty of room for everyone to be in the kitchen to help. The kids loved the movie room. There are lots of DVD’s to choose from.
We will definitely return to this home - best vacation ever!

Gorgeous home with views of the lake and mountains from virtually every room. Top notch finishes as well. The location is ideal for hitting RMNP, Lake Granby, and Grand Lake.

We loved staying in this home with some friends! The kitchen, living spaces band bedrooms accommodated 4 couples very comfortably. We loved cooking together (the kitchen is huge!) and loved the moose that roamed around outside early in the mornings. The location was close to grand lake but felt remote enough for a quiet weekend.

We loved waking up to a spectacular winter wonderland view of Granby lake! My personal favorite luxuries of the home was the chef's kitchen with fireplace, master bedroom steam shower and gorgeous views in every room! We enjoyed morning walks with our dog and the smell of crisp winter air and beauty abound. There are a lot of winter activities to partake in being close to the West entrance of The Rocky Mountain National Park. Our favorite was snowmobiling with "On the trails" in the national park. Snowtubing at Fraiser Historic tubing hill was a blast! A nice surprise was sledding down the hill next to the house on the property with the provided toboggan and having a drink next to the fire pit while taking in the views. We even brought home a beautiful vase created from an aspen tree by a local artist as a memento of our Grand Lake vacation. Thank you for lending us a piece of your paradise! We enjoyed our stay at your home very much!
Best Regards,
Joe, Sherry & Baylee
