Had a lovely weekend at The Sumesa with my boyfriend. The weather was spectacular for late February, and the house was warm and cozy. We spent lots of time just lounging around, making breakfast, sitting by the fire drinking wine and playing games. Can’t wait to go back!

This is our second annual ski trip up to the Sumesa— and it didn’t disappoint! The property is well appointed with all the amenities, plenty of space to spread out but cozy enough for all!! This property is close to all the fun sights, Sunday River, and Mt Abrams for skiing- Norway Brewing Company, the Matterhorn Ski Bar— and plenty of other great establishments we can’t wait to check out next time! We highly recommend this special place!

The house was just what you want in a vacation home. Very clean, inviting, cozy and warm. All the amenities you have in your own home and more.

Whether for snow or sun, this amazing home offers a perfect respite for families, friends or even just a couple. We had a wonderful time exploring the Bethel and Paris areas, hiking, sluicing for gems, enjoying wonderful food and gorgeous views. The owners have attended to every detail and then some. Highly recommended!

We just completed a week long stay for the kids school vacation week and just loved it. Can't wait to return, perhaps this summer for a warm adventure!

We stayed with friends, two families in the home (4 adults & 4 teens). The house was lovely for an intimate stay, well appointed with simply everything you might need and neat as a pin! It was meticulous. As long as kids don't mind sharing the loft bedroom or using the couches in the basement to sleep, there is plenty of room for two families. We cooked lots of dinners in after long ski days, played board games, listened to music on the Alexa provided, sipped wine and laughed the nights away. The gas fireplaces in the kitchen and family room were SO nice to have. Early morning coffee by the fire watching the sun come up over the mountains was just heavenly and sitting around the fire after cold ski days was wonderful!

We skied both Mt. Abram (just 8 mins away) and Sunday River (20 mins) throughout the week. Both were fantastic and super convenient to the house. The conditions were so great, that we did nothing but ski and relax for the week!

Jus a few items that would be nice for the owners to consider adding:
1. Toaster Oven
2. Grapefruit Spoons
3. Extra Towels
4. Outdoor Hot Tub!! I know, a serious wish but boy that would be the cherry on the cake for this home!

Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The Sumesa is lovely, and we immediately felt at home there. The views of the Maine mountains is breathtaking and the sky and clouds were always changing, which made sitting and relaxing and watching the world go by, truly mesmerizing! It is nicely appointed with all the amenities you need- it was super cozy during a storm (we were there for Winter Storm Harper, 18+ inches of snow!). Not far is Sunday River (awesome skiing) and Mt Abrams which was a great mountain too--We ventured there with 9 inches of powder and had a great time! The Sumesa is a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and make memories to cherish for a lifetime. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed at this house end of Christmas week through New Years. It was very clean, has great gathering spaces, and a well appointed kitchen. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room. Beds were comfortable including the futon downstairs. Sunday River was an easy drive, 15-20 minutes. House is on a hill with nice views. Road from south side a little steep but the other side not bad. We had a small problem with the propane stove on checkin. A call to Vacasa and someone was there quickly and fixed it right away. We had a great time here and will very likely be back again at some point.
