Nice quaint place to stay. No washer or dryer. Not a deal killer tho. Bed room doors don’t lock either. But once your out there it’s super quiet and just enough to keep you comfortable.

Inside was nice but outside no so much. We enjoyed our stay but will not be returning.

The back porch is great for watching nature as sun comes up. Deer grazed nearby and I bird-watched. There was sufficient internet speed to access my office even though we were peacefully off the beaten path. Plenty of room in the kitchen to cook and real full sized fridge. Great living room to play board games and several games were even available in the cocktail table. Turn off the shower while lathering and then on again to rinse to conserve hot water. It was freezing cold outside, so cold, but toasty warm inside, the heater worked great. Clean, peaceful, internet, kitchen, parking, everything we needed for our getaway. Would stay here again.

We didn't know what to expect, especially based on some of the reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised! The yard is smallish but fenced. Driveway is steep but fine.

Away from any traffic, cozy and cute stay. Chairs are setup to catch a great view of the sunset followed by the bats releasing from the cave. Bring your own hangars and rooms are only partially private with open ceilings connected to main room. Not a sound around you and morning coffee on the patio will melt away whatever you were escaping from

All around the cabin was very clean, the beds were soft and the view was amazing! The only thing that bothered me were the ants. They were on the countertops, and on the bathroom floor. We had to keep everything sparkling, even the counter tops or else all of the ants would come out for a feast. Would have been 5 stars if there weren’t ants.
Manager response:
Hello Annie, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The homeowner has taken care of the ants and we apologize for the inconvenience. We do hope we have the chance to impress you in the future.

This house lived up to its name! So calm, peaceful and quiet! A nice stay for sure. Just the only thing was the driveway in, but other than that it was a great stay. We saw many deer on the property!

Not child or dog friendly (really just have an outside area for dogs to do business). Outside was a mess including porch. Felt like trailer park rather than Fredericksburg remote getaway - many resident trailers scattered around within eyeshot. Need on steep slope and driveway/rocky way was badly eroded. Inside small but clean and amendable. Also, remote...once inside be prepared to hunker down, need to drive for a while to get anywhere, even walk. Nearest attraction bat cave (tunnel park) around the corner.

There was plentybof dishes for making breakfast for us every morning. It is about a half hour away from the nearest supermarket and there is only one cafe located next Old Tunnel State park.l, which is great for a small hike with kids, as we did with ours. The yard in the back was overgrown so we didn't do much back there, but there are chairs in the yard for lounging had the yard be kept up with, and there are two other cabins nearby so if your neighbors guests are rowdy, you'll diffenitely hear it. Fortunately for us, there was no one in those cabins when we went. The view is fantastic! You will certain feel like you are at the heart of the hill country in this cabin! You see large rolling hills for miles! If there is rain, you may want to consider an all wheel drive vehicle, as the cabin is located down a dusty, rocky incline that, even in dry weather, my wife and I nearly lost traction on. Movie and game selection was minimal, and nothing kid appropriate. Shower is small and only accomodates one at a time. Overall, my family and I very much enjoyed this cabin and will consider it again for future trips!

This cabin was wonderful! My husband and I visited for the weekend just after our wedding as a weekend honeymoon. The cabin was far enough out to get the country feel but still close enough to run into town if needed. The views from the cabin were beautiful as well as the drive up. Loved this cabin!
