Stunning home w/ ocean view, multiple decks, shared pool & more!
The views from this beautiful seaside retreat are breathtaking! At this ocean view house in Sea Ranch, you can come home from days spent hiking and beachcombing to enjoy a cozy fire in the central fireplace or a cup of coffee outside on one of the two decks. Inside, you'll find a vaulted ceiling and plentiful windows with stellar views of the surrounding commons, bluffs, and ocean. This is the perfect place for the family to unwind and relax.
This home is surrounded by commons and the Bluff Trail is a five-minute walk down the hill. The community's north recreation center is a 20-minute walk from the house, and the lodge a 40-minute hike to the south. It’s just a short drive from many beaches, the scenic course at the Sea Ranch Golf Links, and great local restaurants and shops in Gualala.
Things to know:
*Please note that this home is near a pebbly beach called Pebble Beach. This is a local Sea Ranch beach, not the site of the famous golf courses near Monterey.

This place had a spectacular view and all the amenities you could want. My only complaint is that the downstairs where two of the bedrooms are is cold and musty smelling. The heat works but you have to overheat the upstairs in order to warm the downstairs enough to be comfortable. Other than that I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing weekend.
The location was fantastic as was the view. There was a huge kitchen table for us to craft and eat at. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with bakeware, pots and pans as well as spices. It really felt like you were at home. Will definitely go back!
We loved everything here. It's a huge house with a lovely view of the ocean. Perfect for relaxing, strolls to the ocean, or as the base for a car trip along the Northern California coast. The house is part of Sea Ranch, which is a long stretch along the coast of houses that are all built with grey wood and sloped roofs. Houses are spaced far apart and it was very quiet during our stay (Sunday-Tuesday).
The house was clean, with new carpets, and huge windows to look at the ocean. It has a lovely gated entrance with plants, a large living room and kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and a bonus family room with a futon. Photos are very accurate.
The house has lots of seating to enjoy the ocean view, and the occasional whale passing by. You can also walk down the road to the cliffs. There is a seal viewing area 10 min walk from the house, where we saw several seals playing (fighting?) with each other. Bring binoculars!
Internet/wifi worked great and wow - it was fast! Yay! The house also has a bluetooth sound system that was very nice and easy to connect to. We did not have cell phone reception (T-mobile), though.
In case you are wondering about accessibility and stairs: The master bedroom with a king bed and en-suite bathroom #1 is on the ground floor, the family room (with futon) and bathroom #2 is also on the ground floor with 3 steps down. The other 2 bedrooms (1 with a queen bed, 1 with two single beds) and bathroom #3 are downstairs. The stairway down had a child gate. Beds were made, extra pillows and blankets were provided. The bathrooms had plenty of large and small crisp white and fluffy towels.
The kitchen was stocked with lots of cooking / baking ware, oil, and spices. Salt appeared to be missing, but we fixed that :-)
I also loved that they provided generous amounts of kitchen paper, toilet paper, dishwash tablets/liquid, hand soap, and travel size shampoos/soap bars, as well as aluminum/plastic foil, ziplock bags, and coffee filters. It is so nice to not have to buy or bring those.
There are no shops or restaurants within walking distance, but the town of Gualala, about 10 car minutes north, has a supermarket and some restaurants. We had a nice dinner in the Gualala hotel.
We had to pick up the car parking license in Gualala, and the email with those instructions listed the wrong address of the Vacasa rental agency. Luckily, the old building had a note with the new address, so we could find it, but that would be something that could be improved for future renters.
I have been staying at this lovely home for many years and there are so many things about it that I love. First, the view of the ocean from every room is amazing! The coastal hiking trail, the 3 rec centers for pool/sauna, the peacefulness of the setting, the comfortable and spacious house, seeing nature up close and personal (outside and also from the house-saw deer, a little fox, rabbits, birds, etc. this trip)...need I say more? I highly recommend this wonderful place to stay!
My family and I have been vacationing at this home for over 10 years. It is always super-comfortable and everything we need is always there, and nothing matches the experience of sitting in the living room with a roaring fire in the fireplace, enjoying the spectacular 180 degree view of the ocean. Can't beat it.
The house was perfect for our multi-generational family girls’ trip! Very clean and homey, we LOVED the fireplace set up, perfect for the rainy weekend it turned out to be. I will say that the surrounding area is a little sleepier than we had anticipated, not many restaurant or entertainment choices. Come prepared to cozy up at home and enjoy the accessible trails along the beautiful coast line. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
Great view, You do not need anything but food when you arrive here.
We are so glad this guest enjoyed the home's amazing view and well-stocked amenities! We will make sure the fireplace door is properly inspected and make any necessary repairs. We look forward to hosting this guest again soon!
