It is true that the pictures of the water view do not serve it justice! The tall windows in the living room really open up the space to take in the gorgeous view of the Mississippi Sound! The Sunset is beautiful to watch on the back deck area as well as on the small private beach area on the Mississippi Sound behind the house. We thoroughly enjoyed the Gulf side beach, as it was very easy to walk across the street to access it, and yet it still felt private for us even with all of the kids. Overall just a wonderful stay.
We did have an issue with the front keypad lock not working, but were able to get that resolved with a simple phone call to the property manager. He made sure we could get the door locked and unlocked over the phone before we hung up.
Beware that there are lots of mosquitos that bit us when going back and forth to the private beach area behind the house, and lingered on the back deck at night. Bring your bug spray and anti-itch cream!! However, still an overall great stay and we would come back.

We had 11 people and we found this house very clean and well equipped for a group our size. The private beach area is small but very nice. The front deck is 200 yards from the beach on the gulf side and a wagon comes with the house making it super easy to walk to that beach. There is no boardwalk or dock from the back deck to the bay side beach, only the remnants of one, but you can wade out a long way as the bay is relatively shallow. Our guys enjoyed fishing. We had a blast on rented jet skis. The only recommendation is a tremendous need to mow around the house itself. The area under the house is perfect for grilling and corn hole but the grass is waist high making the mosquitoes worse then they should be and no amount of mosquito spray or citronella candles will keep them at bay. We loved the seclusion and low key pace of the area and will be back.

I loved the fact that the whole family could be together, with plenty of room. It was comfortable for everyone. The house is beautiful.

We loved the views from the back porch and the beach.

I booked this home for a group of 14 people and expected to be crammed. However, we had more than enough room! This home is designed in a way that maximizes every room and every bit of space so large groups can be comfortably accommodated. The kitchen was so well-stocked in a way that mirrored the guest limit. We had no problem cooking for 14 thanks to the huge pots, pans, and abundance of plates, cups, and bowls. And when it came to meals, we could all sit in the dining room or back porch and be together without issue.
The location of the house was perfect for us. The view of the bay off the back porch was wonderful. But most importantly, the walk to the beach was so short and convenient that we could easily go to and fro without hassle. If someone forgot something or wanted to go back to eat lunch, it was just a minute or so walk. As people on a budget, it was the closest thing we could get to beach front without the beach front price tag. Totally worth it.
We were so pleased with this home, the size, amenities, and location. The only thing I would recommend to someone booking this home is bring your own dish towels, as there were none in the home.

We loved our time at Summer Breeze. We went with our 2 kids and parents. The open layout made it easy for all of us to spend time together, and the house was clean and spacious. My 2 year old enjoyed splashing in the Mississippi Sound behind the house, and the gulf beach was just across the street. Back deck was lovely for sunset views. Would definitely stay again!

Our family of 7 was very comfortable in this home. Ease of check in and check out. The weather was not the best for our trip but we were still able to stay in the house and be relaxed and comfortable. Have already discussed coming back for another trip.

This house comfortably slept 12 of us. The pictures didn’t do it justice. Wish the weather would’ve been better but that’s ok. The only cons were the the bedroom upstairs that has many beds in it is more of a loft, they should have made it a room, you can’t go in the kitchen in the morning without waking whoever is up there. Also the closest full, real grocery store is 45 min to an hour away.

Home is beautiful with a nice view of the sound. It was immaculate-great job by the cleaning staff. The beach is a very short walk, less than a block, and if you have a lot of stuff to carry, there’s a place to park right by the beach. It’s a very quiet island, which is what we like. The beaches are dog friendly with the exception of the West End Public Park. The only downside was the mosquitoes and gnats. There’s a small pond 2 houses down from this one & that might contribute to the mosquito population. They were thick, especially at dusk.

Great spot for a large family to enjoy the beach. We had 9 adults & 2 kids who all had plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Short walk to the beach. Gas and charcoal grill combo underneath the house was plenty big to cook for the whole family. Be sure to buy your groceries before you get on the island because the food costs are rough!

I loved the airy openness of the living room and the numerous beds. Also, the beach toys and wagon . . .

Loved the space to spread out. Housekeeping could have spent a little more time on the floors, and a/c had a hard time keeping up

This was our first trip to the island. Summer Breeze was an outstanding choice for our big party of 10. Everyone had enough space. It was right across from the public beach and we had our own private water access. Will be back for sure!

House was exactly as advertised. Great location for relaxed beach vacation.

We loved everything about the house. We had a large group of people and the size was perfect. We loved the outside decks and how inviting it was. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to go to Dauphin Island, AL.

We loved it all!!!!! The house is well laid out. We enjoyed both the sound and gulf side with a short walk to both or sitting on the front or back porches. The kids enjoyed bike riding the island and hanging out on the porch or setting up their hammocks underneath and just being teens. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all right there so you can enjoy each other at the same time and never miss a conversation.
Thank y’all so much. We will be back.

Our group of 7 adults and 2 children spent the week at Summer Breeze and were very pleased with the house. It was large enough to give us all some space of our own, yet the main living area accommodated us all as well. We were able to eat each meal together, either at the dining table or on the deck facing the bay. We had one small problem with a smoke detector that needed a new battery and the management company was very responsive.
I had tried ahead of the trip to determine what was exactly in the house that we would not have to bring but found it hard to get that information for that particular house. (So, yes there's a Keurig, a baby gate, grill tools, wagon to haul gear to the beach, and cookie sheets.) If I went again, I'd bring cheap vinyl tablecloths for the two wooden picnic tables, and a couple of old quilts to throw over the benches.
The view of the bay and the bridge from the back porch is calming, and the ocean is about 100 yards away across the street. We founding birding from the back of the house along the bay shore to be rewarding.
The bathrooms were especially clean and well maintained, and the bedding was clean and comfy, and I'm picky about that. I also never go barefooted in rental homes, but felt fine on these floors, which were well maintained and clean.
We were on the island to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday, so we made our own meals and made our own fun. Day trips to Fairhope, Pascagoula, Mobile, Gulf Shores/Ft Morgan. Though not the management's fault at all, there's a very limited supply of restaurants on the island and an even smaller possibility to buy groceries. We knew that ahead of time and hauled in everything we needed, stopping in Mobile for the last perishables. Just be aware.
We will probably not return, but not because we were displeased. We like to explore new territory and now we've covered lower Alabama pretty thoroughly.

Our family vacation to a new location the week of thanksgiving. What a wonderful house. The pictures online is what you see in person too. Well stocked kitchen. Views were amazing from both sides.

My family of 11 stayed at Summer Breeze for 7 nights. Great location and the staff was so helpful and friendly. The house had 2 carts to hall things to the beach which was a life saver. 8 adults and 3 kids fit perfectly. Any more adults would have made things a bit tight.

The house was immaculate, clean and modern. The view was great. Huge bedrooms, plenty of space throughout for entertaining. We will definitely be back!
Michelle W.Jul 2017
This island is perfect for little ones and adults! Its quiet and peaceful. Didn't have to worry about finding a spot on the beach nor losing one of the little ones like you would on a big public beach. Everyone on the island was very nice. Its close enough to orange beach that the older ones took the ferry acrosd for parasailing. The house was fantastic! The upstairs loft was perfect for all the kids while the adults were all able to have their own bedroom. We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect location for young and old. Private beach on the sound allowed for fun in quiet waters and a very short walk out us in the gulf waters. House easily accommodated 14 ranging in age from 1 to 65.

Our family of 14 had a very good time. The house was very clean. We arrived after Tropical Strom Cindy. Roads were still flooded. Some maintenance issues with the house. Turn in a list of things to fix. It was nice to be close to the water on the Bay side and the Gulf side.
Kelly C.May 2017
The house is beautiful, well maintained, very clean. It rained every day we were there, but the property and the island are so magnificent it did not matter, we had a great time anyway.

A relaxing week at Dauphine Island Alabama. Plenty of room for the whole family and the kids loved the loft with two queen beds, TV, and bunk beds. Great access to the bay and easy walk across the street to the Gulf side.
Carole B.May 2017
We really enjoyed this beautiful place. Out grown children were able to come and go when they could. We really enjoyed the porch. Exceptionally clean. Provided everything we needed. Thanks for the great memories

The house was wonderul. It was very comfortable and very clean. It's on the sound side so it's very quiet. The beach is just a few steps away. The area is very dog friendly and our "girls" had a great time. The house was better than advertised and we can't wait to return.
