My husband and I stayed at the Cowboy for our 10 year anniversary trip. We ended up loving the Cowboy so much that we decided to do breakfast in every morning to enjoy the grounds. We loved sitting on the screened in back porch sipping coffee and laying in the hammock under the stars. There is a back deck with a ravine and wooded area behind the house. In the mornings we sat and listened to the birds and in the evening we watched hundreds of fireflies light up the sky. The house also has a beautiful garden full of butterflies and seating to take it all in. The inside was also quaint and cozy, but the outside of this house is what sets it apart. It’s tucked away in the country- about 15 minutes from the busy part of Wimberley- which we loved.

The owners live across the street and have access to the river behind their home. They allow guests to use the trail through their yard to gain access to the river. It’s also beautiful and worth walking across the street to see. They have seating set up right beside the river.

This cottage is lovely and I’m already dreaming of my next stay.

We were looking for a quiet, private getaway to celebrate The New Year and we found EXACTLY that at The Cowboy! This home has everything you need. It’s beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home! We really enjoyed the fireplace especially when the weather changed overnight! The garden which guests are allowed to access can still be enjoyed even in winter- the unique greenhouse is the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails surrounded by green plants. You just won’t believe the serenity and privacy within and around this home- beyond our expectations! We are anxious to return to experience the of the setting in the spring.

The Cowboy is an awesome place and I have nothing but great things to say about the entire experience. It was perfect for a get away with the fiance. We wanted somewhere secluded in the country where we could swim, hike, and enjoy a glass of wine on the patio. This beautiful cottage provided all of that and more.

This home is as comfortable and cozy as any space can be. We love the rustic touches and modern amenities. The view is outstanding on the deck. And, who knew thatMay would bring thousands of lightning bugs!!! It was truest a step back into the magic of my childhood!!!

There aren’t enough great things I can say about this place. It is tucked away in the winding hills of Wimberley with spectacular views. The cabin was super clean, inviting and not to mention gorgeous. This is a little slice of heaven and I can’t wait to go back.
