This cozy, family-friendly cabin sits on a large lot surrounded by gorgeous trees. The vaulted ceilings with skylights and walls covered in cedar/pine make for an inviting feel. Enjoy the wood burning stove on those cold, rainy days while the enclosed patio provides extra indoor space so big groups can unplug and enjoy time together throughout the year. The pull through drive is perfect for RV and/or boat storage and towing.
What's nearby: You'll be just 10 miles from Mt. Hood Skibowl and only 17 miles from Timberline Lodge where you'll find premier skiing and snowboarding at both locations. During the summer months, you will have access to numerous hiking trails, rushing rivers, and pristine lakes such as Trillium and Mirror Lake.

This is a really nice cabin, but you have no view or access to the river. However, it is a short drive to get to recreational areas. The amenities are good and everything was clean. My biggest complaint is the bed in the master bedroom was well past it's prime. I think sleeping on the floor would have been better. We had the extended family of 7 + large dog and there was plenty of room (depending on sleeping needs/arrangements).
Thank you for your feedback! This home is not listed as having river access or a view, but is close to river access and to popular swimming areas such as Mirror Lake and Trillium Lake. We are sorry to hear the bed did not suit your preferences, it was purchased new in December 2018. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and hope we can host you again soon!

This house has been beautifully remodeled/maintained and has a great layout. We loved the comfy couches with blankets, the closet full of games, hunting for wildflowers in the back, and playing cards with a woodsie view in the converted sunporch. Cons were that the kitchen was less than well-quipped and the master bedroom was really dark. We had some disappointing maintenance issues on our trip and the television was not working, though the Vacasa staff was friendly and helpful. Hopefully all the kinks will be worked out soon and then this will be a great house.
Thank you for your review, Rebecca! Without specifics on what was missing that you required in the kitchen, it is difficult to correct anything. We will do inventory to see if any basics have wandered off. We apologize a prior guest took our HDMI cord which affected your TV experience, and we hope you were happy with the service provided in getting you a new cord right away. The master bedroom does have two lamps for lighting. We hope to see you again!

Easy to get to location, quiet neighborhood and easy parking. Close to Mt. Hood. Great for a family get together.

This cabin was clean and comfortable. We loved the wood stove and updated appliances in the kitchen. It was roomy and had all that we needed for a fun family weekend on the mountain.

I could use a lot of positive words to describe my family's stay at the Rhododendron Escape. I would not use any negative words.
We had no issues, and found everything that we needed. Our stay was cozy and comfortable. The only thing missing was snow.
