This was our second stay at this property. We love the small cabin and the river behind it has great fishing and just listening to the water flow. Close to many trails, small towns and 10 min to wolf creek ski resort. Any problems or issues are addressed quickly.

We just returned from our vacation in this great home and I wish we could go back right now! It is perfect for a couples get-a-way. Big enough that you don't feel cramped but small enough that you feel like you are living the cabin life.
Pros:
-The house was very clean when we arrived.
- All the basic amenities that someone would need to live comfortably for a few days.
- Extra towels and blankets if needed
- The bed was amazing! Sleep number with a big fluffy comforter
- The hot tub was superb!
- You have access to both a heating and a/c unit BUT you also have the option to use the wood stove. Let me tell you, the wood stove puts off some HEAT!
- The creek right outside your door. If you like to fish, bring your pole, because there are lots of trout in there! Catch and release only.
- The area is perfect, close to the highway but far enough away that you still feel secluded. Nestled right in the middle of a valley with amazing views all around.
- Close enough to town and within driving distance of so many great hiking spots, lakes to fish, and beautiful towns. I recommend taking a drive to Pagosa Springs (stop at the scenic overlook on the highway!) and taking the Silver Thread Scenic Byway to Lake City. Beautiful views of the mountains and Lake San Cristobal with many stops along the way with amazing views, I recommend stopping at the North Clear Creek Falls.

Cons:
- Directions to the house could have been more clear. We were coming from the West and the directions were only clear if you were coming from the East.
- The washing/drying machine is very loud, I recommend starting it when you leave for the day so it's done when you get back.
- We had issue with the main TV in the living room, it basically stopped working on day 2 of the trip. It didn't bother us too much since we weren't watching that much TV plus you have the TV in the bedroom that worked fine

Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to others!

This cabin is a little gem. The property manager, Christy, ensured I had the best, most relaxing time ever. Will definitely be back!!!

We stayed at this cabin for 9 nights and we could not have been more pleased. We had a fantastic stay right next to the river. The cabin was small but never felt that way; it was more cozy than anything. The cabin is positioned the perfect distance from lots of different cities/towns and awesome hiking trails. Our contact Christy was amazing as well. She met us at the cabin to give us a welcome and explain the natural environment wen were staying in and how to deal with an little visitors we might encounter. We are absolutely going to be staying here again in the future and we would recommend it to anyone.

30 seconds walk to a beautiful river with nice sized rainbow and brown trout anxious to attack your fly! Great cabin with modern amenities and very comfortable sleep number bed. Close to everything, including Wolf Creek, South Fork and Creede and a gorgeous drive over to Platoro on Forest Rd 380. We will be back!!

We loved the house and the location but the first couple of days were hot and the house has A/C but it didn’t work very good. They had a fan there but it was so hot the first night we bought another fan. Would love to go back but not summer maybe spring or fall.

I love how close the cabin was to the creek and loved that it was off a little ways by itself. We had privacy to just enjoy nature.

Loved this cabin if we would have only had 2 people. It’s a little small for 4. Fold out couch was paper thin. Bring your own air mattress if you take a family of 4. Loved the seclusion and it’s proximity to a Wolf Creek ski area.

Secluded Peaceful and quiet. Over priced after all the fees.
3 of 4 Porch lights we’re all burnt out. Small water heater
Manager response:
Hi Greg, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We regret that you were not satisfied with the price of your reservation. Our fees are disclosed in full before you book. We hope to host you again!

This property is great. It was easy to find/access, it was extremely clean and it had plenty of towels/paper/supplies. This was a great property for our anniversary trip.

The only issue with this property is the bed. It currently has an older Sleep Number style mattress that is extremely hard to adjust. It took us a couple nights to fiddle with the controls and get it comfortable. Other than that, this place is flawless.

Close to ski resort

This property is nestled into a valley that makes it feel like a private escape. The beautiful surroundings make for awesome viewing of sunrise, sunsets and everything in between. Loved the sounds of the river that can be heard inside the house with open windows.
The fire pit, hot tub, cozy bed and upgraded appliances are icing on the cake! Can’t go wrong with this rental!

Great location on the South Fork of the Rio Grand! This cabin is in a beautiful setting with all the conveniences of home. This was our second stay in four years. Would definitely choose this cabin on our next visit to South Fork.
Randall H. Aug 2019
Sitting right beside the South Fork of the Rio Grande, a stone's throw from biting trout. All the modern amenities in a cozy cabin.
Madison C. Aug 2019
This is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. You can hear the river water roaring in the background as you sit in peace. The cabin was spacious on the inside and well worth it! When the temperature dropped, we didn’t have to go far as the hot tub on the front porch was warm and inviting. We had some mishaps with communication on booking the cabin but still all in all I would definitely return back to this place. 10/10 would recommend.
Gary C. Aug 2019
Cabin was as described, fishing was good , nights where cool , great time
Michelle M. Jun 2019
Cabin was perfect ! It's right off highway but you feel like it's totally isolated. Loved the rushing river, mountains, etc. Everything in the cabin was brand new. Couldn't have asked for better accommodations.
Miranda L. Jun 2019
Everything was just like the pictures, hot tub worked and it was right at 104 when I arrived. I'd stay here again in the winter.
Eric K. Jan 2019
This cabin was a perfect place to stay for a quick ski trip! It's tucked into some trees near the river at the edge of a pasture, and not far from Wolf Creek Ski Area. The cabin itself is cozy and has all the amenities our family of four needed. And the hot tub was just right... big enough for four of us, and right at 104 degrees. It's also right near the door so we didn't get too cold going back inside.

Regarding South Fork (the closest town): We found the restaurants in South Fork to be not great, but just okay. Our family would have preferred skipping the drive into town for a home-cooked meal in the cabin for at lease a couple nights of our stay.
