This sweet cabin was perfect for a quick snowy mountain getaway. Expansive lawn with lots of fun activities and a cozy interior with a ton of movies to enjoy. Upstairs area was perfect for sleeping our family in comfort. Love the hot tub on the deck under the pretty string lights! Would definitely come back.

Pros: Great location and easy access to the great outdoors. The space was the perfect size and the hot tub was delightful. If you want to see wildlife, this is the place!

Cons: The house could use a deep clean. The floor in the game room was dirty and food could be seen under the TV stand when sitting. Also, the duvet covers appeared to not be washed regularly - we found a bandaid stuck to one. Items were tossed in closets and drawers.

We would love to come back but when paying for cleaning and a vacation getaway, we would expect a cleaner and more organized space.
Manager response:
We appreciate your feedback following your stay, Maile. While we are glad you enjoyed your stay at our home, we are so sorry to hear about the cleanliness issues on the property. Thank you for bringing this to our attention so our local manager can follow up with the housekeepers to ensure they are paying close attention to detail. We hope we can host you again!

The house was a nice getaway for a family with young kids. The large yard, swing set, room to explore, and daily visits from a family of deer made it fun and easy on us parents. The game room, bunk beds, and toys were a nice touch and the child gates on the top and bottom of the stairs were an unexpected bonus. We have a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old and we didn't worry about them at all. The hot tub was a nice way to relax at the end of the day, margarita in hand, while watching the baby monitor. All in all it was a great spot. Close to everything. Perfect for families with children.

The only negative was not related to the house itself but to the property management. When we asked if we could have an early check in (4pm is tough with kiddos and we wanted to get settled in before then) they told us that due to Covid-19 cleaning regulations the housekeeping was taking longer than normal and an early check-in was not possible. This made complete sense and we had no hard feelings about it. Until we showed up at 4:30 with hungry, cranky kids who needed to use the bathroom and the housekeeping was not done. In fact when we arrived there was a couple sitting on the back porch having a smoke break and we thought maybe they had double booked our reservation. It turns out it was not the cleaning staff but friends of the cleaning staff who told us that they were just there to help out since the regular staff was overbooked. They apologized profusely and said they would need an extra hour and a half to complete the cleaning. We took the kids in to use the restroom and when this (very nice) couple saw our kids they cut the cleaning short and left so we could unpack and get settled in. This was frustrating because now, not only was the house not ready for us when it was supposed to be, but it was not adequately cleaned either. It was not filthy but it was definitely not up to expectation, much less Covid-19 standards. There was also not any extra toilet paper, something we discovered on the last day. Luckily, we are parents and we pack wipes.

In summary, the house was great, the overall experience could have been better. I say this knowing full well it is 2020 and I am very grateful we were able to have a vacation at all.
Manager response:
Hi Bryan, thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you had a nice getaway with your family. We are very sorry that the housekeepers were still in the home upon arrival. We do our best to schedule correctly, but sometimes a clean will take a longer amount of time. This means the housekeepers may be late to their next clean. We are truly sorry for this inconvenience. We hope to be able to have the opportunity to impress you in the future.

We loved staying here with two other couples. Plenty of space for everyone. Felt private in the woods, but not creepy. Woodsy decor. Beautiful place to stay in Cle Elem!

Kids loved this place. Swings, a slide, hot tub, media room, visits from wildlife every day. Couldn't have asked for more.

This house is truly an escape from the big city, though you are only 10 minutes to the town of Cle Elum. My toddler loved the kids books, the slide, and seeing a deer eating right outside our window! No cable/internet and limited cell phone connectivity, so you will truly disconnect. Nice walk uphill to a lookout point where you can see the snow-covered mountains. Gated community so you will feel safe at night. Fun collection of DVDs and a record player! House was clean and everything in the kitchen and bathrooms worked well. We would stay again!

My family and I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights but we wished we could have stayed longer. The peace we got from being near the trees and away from the Covid-19 chaos was exactly what we needed. I loved how kid friendly the home was from the bunk beds, kid bed and toys to the outside slide and yard to play in. The home was beautiful and there was lots to do even though we never left the property. With plenty of warning ahead of time about there being no internet or cable, we brought a few Redbox movies and were pleasantly surprised to see a huge collection of movies provided as well. There was a good selection of music CDs as well that were fun to go through and listen to some songs that we hadn’t heard in a long time :) the hot tub was perfect and the back patio was very peaceful after a long day of activities. My boys brought their Xbox and played in the game room when they weren’t watching scary movies.
All of this in addition to the constant deer sightings was amazing! The first day my boyfriend saw a young buck and the following day we saw a doe with her two fawns. The last day we were late leaving because we were distracted by not one, not two, but three does grazing just past the small yard provided. It was wonderful.

The home only had a few downsides and if the combination of these downsides hadn’t caused any issues then we would have definitely given 5 stars.
But the home has no central air and with the weather outside being near 100 degrees and only fans to cool the home it was a bit uncomfortable. There are thermostats throughout the house that are only meant to show you the temp to remind you of the blazing heat. This would be much more perfect in the winter.
The toys were a huge plus for us but we were a bit sad to see so many worn down from usage and in desperate need for replacement. The arrows for the bow and arrow for example are so worn they caused several splinters in my brothers hand after one try. The younger kid toys had all lost several parts as well.
The last issue we had and usually I am able to ignore this factor but with young children it was impossible. And this was the cleanliness factor. At first glance the home looks fantastic but after moving our stuff in and getting settled I began noticing Cheerios in and under the couch and in the game room (we didn’t bring Cheerios but my 9 month old and 2 year old kept trying to eat the ones we were finding). The sign at the door says to remove our shoes which we did and the bottom of our feet as well as the legs of my crawling 9 month old became blackish from the floor not being properly cleaned. I eventually went through to sweep and mop the house myself and when moving furniture it was easy to see that no one had done so in quite some time. We tried to use the dryer to dry our clothes after being in the hot tub to use them the following day as well and found the bedding that had been washed for the previous visitors. There was also no laundry soap or dish soap (for the dishwasher) available to use so we had to provide our own. I think that whoever is cleaning the home just needs to slow down a tad bit and then that issue can easily be solved.

Other than these minor setbacks we absolutely loved the home and once we are able to get the proper vehicle to make it out in the winter we would love to visit again!! I apologize for leaving such a detailed review but I believe that is the best way to improve where things can be improved. We all absolutely loved it either way and have told all our friends of our awesome adventure. :)

Very cute house - my family had a great time exploring the woods, watching the deer, roasting marshmallows and playing in the game room at night.
Only downfalls were the awful buzzing noise from the high power lines all day and night long which are just a few yards away. The hot tub was dirty and we could not find any laundry soap. We couldn’t take out the trash because the cans outside were already packed full.
We did have a fantastic time - now knowing what the house entails we would book again - but bring more kid friendly items, laundry soap and pillows

We had a wonderful time in this quiet retreat. There were a few things that could of been better, some things could of been cleaner, picked up. A few things were broken. No extra supplies, for etc, low paper towels, one garbage bag. Laundry was left in washer and dryer. So we ended up having to deal with laundry issues, with towels from baths and hot tub. Location was private and quiet, but things could be maintained better.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Chris. We are glad you enjoyed this home and apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay. We will work with our local team to ensure these items are corrected for future guests. We hope to host you again in the near future!

Clean home, private location, great relaxing weekend!

Our little family had a great time, peaceful and very comfortable. We would book this place again except would bring our receiver and travel satellite. Just need to be clear there is no cable or air tv. We understood there was no internet because we were reminded several times. We prepped for that but just didn’t think tv meant no cable or channels at all 😀. Maybe we missed something but we could have brought our travel receiver satellite 😀. Make clear no cable or tv channels
Manager response:
Hello Lance, thank you for your review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Cable is not a listed amenity for this home, we apologize for any confusion and inconvenience this may have caused. We look forward to hosting you again!

My husband and four of our children (ages 4-14) met our parents for a weekend at this beautiful vacation home in late October. The home is well located with easy access but feels far out of town. It is very comfortable and well appointed with lots to do with our kids inside and out. We especially enjoyed the game table and hot tub! Taking walks in the woods, reading and watching a movie with no (T-Mobile) cell service or TV was very relaxing. We highly recommend this special place!

Really nice home, as advertised, very family friendly

We had a peaceful few days at this lovely home. So many great little amazing treats - the record player, horseshoes, the game room, and everything we needed for a quiet couple days was there for us. Thank you so much for the little break we needed.

When we first arrived we were so happy with the cleanliness of this home. It was comfortable right away and was decorated so perfect. You could tell the owners paid attention to the little details. The beds were so comfortable! The kids enjoyed the game and movie room, as well as the hot tub. This house had the extras we all wanted. I enjoyed the nice fire pit and making Smores in the evening. The location was close to Cle Elum and we were able to get out to Liberty for our rides each day. We really appreciated all the room for parking as we had the trucks and trailers with our toys. Plenty of room and so private and peaceful. We already are talking with the other 2 families about making another visit! Thank you!

Outside appearance is fine but inside is outstanding. 3 bedrooms plus area for kids to sleep. Game room is huge. Well appointed inside. Hot tub and back deck nice. Close to town but you feel like your in wilderness. Very peaceful. Thank you

We loved the privacy and quiet of the house. It is a very kid friendly place.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our two kids (ages 2 and 4) and their grandma. We had the BEST time. There are sledding hills everywhere of various size/steepness. We actually used what we believe is part of the driveway or an access road closer to the neighborhood gate to do long sled runs and it was so much fun! The house itself is perfect - clean, spacious, and for us perhaps the best part was how great it is for kids. They have everything - pack n play, highchair, toys, changing table, games, bunk beds... our kids LOVED it. I’ve honestly never been less excited to return home after a vacation. We are already planning to book a week here next year. The theater room was awesome for movie nights after our days of sledding - so comfy and cozy!

Our ONLY complaint was that, while it was great the caretakers cleaned and emptied the hot tub prior to our arrival, it took a full 36 hours plus to get warm enough to use. We didn’t get to use it until Tuesday and we checked in on Sunday. Our 4 year old was especially disappointed. :( Even so, we couldn’t possibly give this place any less than 5 stars because otherwise it was just so perfect. We also briefly met the caretakers when we arrived a tad earlier than check in time on Sunday and they were wonderful, kind, and gracious.

This place is also very close to town (10 minutes) which made grocery trips etc. super convenient. And, we loved that this is only 2 hours (if that) from Seattle (because who wants to drive for hours in a car with toddlers???)

Having said all this, we hesitated giving such a rave review...for purely selfish gain - we don’t want other people to book this and it gain popularity because we plan to often in the future!! :)

Thank you owners and caretakers for such a wonderful place! Our family made memories here that we will look back on and laugh and smile for the rest of our lives! ❤️
