The location is very good and very convenient

Everything thank you so much

The house comfortably accommodates 10 people. Location is great, as it is close to beaches, hikes, and Kings Beach for some urban treats, but also remote enough to be quiet at night. The furniture and A/C are a bit dated, but they do the job nicely enough. We would come back again!

Decent place that can accommodate large group of people in short proximity to the lake and to several ski resorts.

Was a great home away from home. Lovely area!

We spent three nights at this townhouse.
Every thing is neat when we arrived, we also got help from clubhouse about parking, the staff on the phone is patient and nice.
The location is very continent, but you’d better to follow direction instructions from vacasa emails to locate the townhouse.

Our family had a great experience the amenities they have are great...

Great location, great space , great pool, great beach all within easy walk... a good amount of space for a large group with kids. Needs a new grill & better housekeeping... not fancy but comfortable !!

The property is spacious and nice. Be forewarned though, there is no airconditioning if you venture here in the summer. Location is good-next to a great little mini golf place and the lakeside restaurant Garwoods (pricey but good). The beach is not walking distance- my father is 70 with a bum knee and could not walk there. The shared pool area was very nice- although we had no access to the hot tub (evidently you needed a card to get in). No laundry detergent for the washing machine, and we could not get the dryer to work. The rooms are spacious and clean, two of the queens having great little balconies. The common area upstairs is shaded and open. I would stay here again!
Manager response:
We apologize for any little hiccups that might have marred the experience here. Guest cards and detergents/soaps should have been stocked by the HOA when they cleaned; we will advise them of this review so they can be more mindful of these matters in the future. We apologize for the dryer being out-of-order; the property manager and owner are working on a solution. Thank you!

Stayed in this large 4 bedroom (plus a loft w/2 additional beds) 2 full baths. Perfect size for 2 adults & 4 adult children w/a few weekend guests.
Rental agreement signed stated: Internet - The homeowners did not renew their internet prior to our stay - which is not per our contract. Vacasa did credit for this loss of service. However, w/4 adult children who need internet for school or work & spouse who works for a European firm, not having internet access was awful. This forced us to drive to town sometimes at 6.00AM to find free WiFi & even if listed, the WiFi was at times spotty. We contacted the local cable/internet provider & was informed that the service was cancelled. Again, our rental agreement when signed provided working internet, & no internet caused major work related issues for our family (2 of our kids returned to SF for the middle of the week to complete their work assignments as no internet was available for them in the house - this was most upsetting as we arranged for a family week in Tahoe together)
The rental agreement also stated working dryer. The dryer was not operational & several attempts to get service or even a return response from VaCasa was nearly impossible. Part of our issue was only one in the family had Verizon wireless, the rest had T-Mobile which does NOT work in the property. Verizon has limited text servicing in the house.
Carnelian property management did nothing to address our concerns as the property was rented via VaCasa (which the main number is located in Oregon & not conducive to managing a property in Lake Tahoe)
Other issues (not for our family) the staircase railing is made of rod -iron spindles which are spaced fairly wide apart - easy for small kids to fall thru. The second floor banister is very loose. The stairs to the loft are 'open' which again is non-kid friendly.
The pillows do not have slipcovers - & are likely not washed after each rental guest. Some need to be replaced as well as the sheets & some blankets.
There is only one pot-holder & no fry pan for eggs/vegetables.

The refrigerator blew a fuse (we did fix) but can be an issue if food is purchased during the summer & guests are not home to monitor.

Cleanliness was fair - blinds very dusty, draw cords for curtains broken, one rod completely pulled out of wall, carpets under beds not vacuumed, towels were very basic (a few needed re-washing). And as the dryer was broken, our wash was left hanging all throughout the home daily to air dry.

It's very quiet & a beautiful setting, but until the homeowner re-signs for internet & replaces the dryer, replaces the pillows, uses slipcovers on pillows, I would not recommend staying here.

We had fun on our stay but note the following, especially #6 if you have kids:

The condo was clean, however, the furnishings were dated.
1/ Broken dining room chair

2/ No internet, broken wifi — I called but no one came over to fix the problem. Internet is kind of a big thing these days if you want to watch movies online.

3/ Sheets — Some of the sheets had stains and holes that looked like burns of some sort.

4/ Heating — The furnace was very loud.

5/ Outlets — There were a few outlets that did not have covers and the outlet to the TV was ripped out from the wall and was hanging loose.

6/ Child proofing — We had 3 children between the ages of 2 - 4.5. The condo isn't really child friendly because width of the railing and stairs heading up to the loft were wide and child could easily slip through both of these openings.

7/ Staff — We did not have to contact staff often but when we did, it didn't give us much confidence since the person on the other side was not on location. On a couple of occasions prior to the trip, I emailed to ask about the availability of sleds and parking. No one called or replied to answer our questions. The wifi issue, as mentioned previously, wasn't resolved nor followed up on.

make sure that wi fi work other than that, the house and location was really nice , that house had everything extra chairs, a lot of plates cups silverware it had everything each room had a window and the views are amazing especially on winter we had the best Christmas. also the staff from the sanctuary were really nice they cleaned the road and even help us on putting the chain to our car since it was the first time we drove on the snow this is our second time using VACASA and really love this company and the service
Manager response:
Our internet carrier informs us the internet in the area was overloaded at the time, but it should be working well now. Thank you!

This was our first stay at Lake Tahoe and we thoroughly enjoyed it! For those with kids the walk to the lake was a bit longer than we thought but was manageable. The closest beach has pebbles so water shoes are advised. Also avoid sunset swim times at the pool as the mosquitos are plentiful and there are numerous other biting/ stinging insects. All-in-all though we had a lovely time and the unit was comfortable and well supplied with utensils etc.

I spent HOURS looking for an affordable place to stay at Tahoe for a group of 11. This condo had everything we needed and didn't really feel that small even for a large group. There was plenty of dishes and cooking items, which some rentals lack. The condo was clean, spacious and the Cornelian Bay amenities were perfect for our families. The North Shore location made for easy access to Sand Harbor and Emerald Bay. For the price, this condo was unbeatable. Glad we booked it!

We stayed here over the president's day weekend with a couple of other families. Great location to Diamond peak Northstar, Alpine and Squaw for skiing. Very close to the lake too. Our kids had fun playing and sleeping up in the loft.

Comes with Wifi which is reasonable (not the fastest I've seen).

Xfinity (basic) cable is included with HD TV.

Gas bbq available though we didn't get to use it.

Hot tub available in the complex but we didn't use it since you had to drive to get to it (short drive though).

Plenty of parking.

Kitchen facilities were great. We made dinner both nights we stayed.

Overall great value for the money and very good location.

We had 3 families meet from various locations and had an amazing time. The floor plan worked perfectly for us with basically 5 bedrooms. We used the lodge/rec area to play pool and video games. The property is pretty centrally located for everything we wanted to do. Great memories as a result of our stay!

We stayed for 4 days and it was not long enough!! We absolutely loved it. Future guests may want to consider bringing extra tall kitchen bags and extra toilet paper & napkins (we were a party of 10). The Wifi was extremely slow but this gives you more of a reason to stay away from electronics and enjoy the outdoors. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Our unit was surrounded by trees, it was silent and very relaxing, very peaceful. I am impressed with the utilities and the condition of the house. It had everything we needed, definitely would recommend to my friends.

We enjoyed a quick last minute family trip to Tahoe and really enjoyed this very light, bright and spacious condo nestled in a wooded area just off the main drag through Carnelian Bay. It would be a wonderful place to return with our extended family as there was ample room for 10 people to sleep with a large great room and several floors so you are not on top of each other. The community center and pool were a great plus after a day at the beach and I could see coming back to just spend a leisurely day poolside. The staff were cheerful, polite and helpful!

Everything I'd expect to be in a condo rental was there. The items we needed to provide were expected as well. The space was large, quiet, and clean. It met the needs of our two families. Everything went smoothly.

Carnelian Bay is an excellent location if you want to avoid the crowds down south. The area is wooded and quiet. The lake is a short walk down the hill (1/4 mile?). The unit is a typical condo/townhouse arrangement that comfortably sleeps 10 (assuming 3 couples). There is a large, enclosed storage location (2' x 5') on the front porch for skis/coolers/whatever. Lots of linen/blankets and towels provided. The assortment of cookware and dinnerware was good and plentiful. Washer/dryer on first floor (bring your own soap). Ironing board, iron and extra chairs in the closet. A few hangers also in each closet. Outdoor grill on the second floor deck worked great and a second propane tank was provided. Sub-optimal, single forced-air HVAC system for three floors results in the loft/third floor baking while the first floor is cold. The water heater appears to be natural gas but has a tough time handling 10 people. Expect some cool showers if you're not one of the first. The two full bathrooms were otherwise adequate. For the price, this functional retreat is a good bargain - you're in Tahoe, after all and living is a little pricey here. I would stay here again.

I would recommend Carnelian Woods as a great place to stay. We came up for a family vacation and loved the location and the helpfulness of the staff. The place is extremely clean, neat and fresh looking. Everyone was very nice and i would definitely bring my family here again. Thanks for the GREAT MEMORIES!
