This is a nice home in a great location--just about two blocks to the beach with a rain forest trail in between.
The pluses: location, proximity to Cannon Beach and Manzanitas, plenty of room inside. No cell service, but good wifi in the house so you can use wifi calling on your phone. Really, the best use would be a couple with a bunch of kids.
The minuses: it's nearly impossible to find, as there are no house numbers on the street and you can't see the house. Amenities are *okay* but the TV didn't work (at all) and the wood stove is so small that we couldn't use it. The directions indicated that there would be cut wood, but we couldn't find any and the wood we bought wouldn't fit. The appliances are fine. The second sleeping area is up a narrow spiral staircase and there is no door -- so not great for privacy if you're the second couple. (Both bathrooms are downstairs, by the way.)
Would we stay here again? Probably, but we're only two people and we could probably find other places for less.

Location is great. Short easy walk down the trail to the beach. My daughter loved the tree swing and the ping pong table. Will stay again.

Wonderful spot for a small group. Wide opwn floorplan is perfect for puzzles and cooking and being together

I loved that this place was isolated from everything, you have all the privacy in the world, and it’s close to the beach. However there’s a ton of windows and NONE of them have curtains or blinds, so you wake up to natural light in your face. Would’ve been nice to be able to darken the room whenever we wanted, but it’s a very nice, quiet getaway.

The house is huge - much bigger than it seems in the pictures - and great for a group of friends. We really enjoyed the location set back in the trees while still super close to the beach, and only a short drive up to all the usual highlights on the Oregon Coast like Cannon Beach. The ping-pong table in the basement is great too. Our one major complaint was that there was hardly any hot water. We were only able to take three successful hot showers over the course of three and a half days. Multiple other attempts (spaced out over time) resulted in nothing but cold water coming out of the tap. Also, the bed in the master bedroom is not extremely comfortable.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Dan. We are glad you enjoyed this home. We apologize for any issues with the hot water. We are happy to report that we have adjusted the water heater temperature, and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

My friends and I loved the open floor plan, the ping pong table, wood stove, and well-stocked kitchen. The house is tucked into the forest and was the perfect getaway.
It could definitely be a bit cleaner- blankets and comforters especially but altogether a wonderful space. Will book again!!

Nice house overall. Bed was like a taco though, and furniture wasn’t very comfortable. Liked the privacy. Cool area.

House was spacious and clean, plenty of kitchen stuff for cooking. Beds were not great comfort, bathrooms were nice but no bath tub. The washer dryer did not work properly which made cleaning clothes a chore. No trash service should be clearly stated before arrival imo, wasn’t a huge problem but still inconvenient at the least. No curtains in the house or bedrooms means a bright house early, so don’t plan on sleeping in too much. Still overall a nice rental place and I would recommend it to others, especially for the price. The walk to the beach was easy, and the beach itself was wonderful at low tide.

Loved our time here, however we feel the house could use a little TLC/maintenance and maybe a couple new pieces of furniture. Having your guests responsible for taking all their trash with them is not something I would have expected and if so would have brought large trash bags with us. You should reduce the cleaning fees.

The location of this house is stunning. Tucked up in the trees, it really does feel magical. It’s also only a few minutes’ walk down to the beach. The layout of the house was great, as well, with the master bedroom on the main level (with the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and family room), and a loft upstairs for kids to sleep. One downside was the master bed, it was pretty uncomfortable. And one of the beds upstairs was an air mattress, which kept deflating. The biggest downside for us was that we didn’t realize it was a pet friendly home. This was our fault, as it was clearly posted on the site, I just didn’t notice that beforehand. There was pet dander throughout the house, and my son is terribly allergic to dogs, so it was a struggle for him to be in the house for too long. I didn’t take off any stars on my rating for this because, like I said, it was my own oversight. But just something to be aware of. Overall, the house is awesome!

The house was bigger than it looked in the ad and it was so comfortable and warm inside. It was only a few minutes to the beach. Wonderful!

Muy bonita pero la mesa de pin pon no servia 😩 de todo lo demás excelente
We are glad you had a great stay. We are sorry the ping pong table was out of order. Our local staff will make sure all necessary repairs are taken care of so it is available for future guests. We hope to host you again soon!

We enjoyed our stay in this home and relished the privacy as we couldn't see a soul when in the home or in the yard. We found the beds and towels to be of good quality and enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen with butcher block counters. The only complaint is that the staircase to/from the second bedroom is perilous during daylight hours and even more so during the night when needing to access the bathrooms, which are both downstairs.

We had a relaxing stay here. We encountered two problems, however: when we got there we realized the oven didn't work! The Vacasa team was super responsive and someone came out to look at it immediately, and when they realized more work was needed than they could do while we were there, offered to pay for our meals out. Despite the inconvenience, the customer services was great. The place was very conveniently located to both Manzanita and Canon Beach, so short drives to grab a bite and hit the beach. The house was so cozy with full windows looking out at the trees, so it felt like a treehouse. Another problem is that the ping pong table was broken, so we couldn't use that either, which we had planned on since it we knew it would be rainy days while we were there. Despite these setbacks we had a great time, relaxing by the fire and enjoying the cozy living space.
