Welcome to our little piece (peace) of heaven. The Harbour Pointe condominiums are isolated on Big Lagoon (Intracoastal Canal) and yet we have a clear, unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico from our seventh-floor balcony. It is only separated by a narrow uninhabited strip of land (a barrier island) called Perdido Key. We have a private beach downstairs and a short drive to Johnson Beach, listed in the top ten beaches in Florida.
Some of the perks that we are privileged to experience from our balcony are dolphins feeding by the pier, bat stingrays looking for breakfast, and pelicans doing a sudden dive for fish. But the most exhilarating of all are the Blue Angels practicing on certain days of the week, so close we can almost see the pilots.
Many of the people in Harbour Pointe are retired and live here. The draw to this place is the fact that it is isolated from the nightlife and crowds of Perdido Key, Pensacola, and Orange Beach, yet a close drive to great restaurants and all the other wonderful aspects of beach life. Our condominium association has very strict rules which, when followed, create a better experience for everyone. For example: The pool and hot tub open at 9 AM and closes at 10 PM. Now it’s quiet time on all the condo balconies (no loud music, screaming, or hollering). With that said, our place, inside and out, is great for children. Read the rules when you arrive and enjoy your stay!
