The house was amazing, convenient, and worth every penny!!!
The home was clean and inviting. Exactly what we wanted. Definitely will use this place again. Only negative was the sofa sleeper wasn’t comfy at all but that isn’t a deal breaker. Recommend this home a million times. Easy access to the beach and shopping.
The proximity to the beach was great. It was an easy walk for the kids to carry their boards to the water. The upper level bedroom and bath provided a private space. We had a great time!
The house was less than two minutes from the surf. With six people, two full baths was a plus. The front patio is a great plus.
Location is excellent, no comfortable seating.
Stayed here with a group of friends from AZ. Place was spacious for 8 people with 3 bedrooms, pull out couch and room for a queen blowup. Upstairs shower is phenomenal with double sink and shower bedroom has access to spacious balcony. Two parking spots included but it’s very tight and won’t fit a truck. Overall great place and 1 minute walk to the beach. Would recommend.
A nice house with bad beds.
Also they should lower the cleaning rate, it's obvious that it does not cost $250 to clean that house. Maybe if we stayed there a week, but 2 night stay at $250 is way too much
The beds are horrible except for the Master Bedroom. There's no excuse for that as beds are cheap now days. One of my friends slept on the floor, it was actually better. A couple of bikes would have been nice, plenty at thrift stores that are cheap.
Also the picture is deceptive, the house is just 2 stories high that you have access to, the 3rd floor is another unit.
We had a great time here. Extremely close to the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Would stay again.
I am from San Diego and currently live in Seattle. I wanted to take my family to the enjoy the SoCal beaches for the first time. The La Playa property was a great fit. There were enough bedrooms and found the "mud room" was a great asset. Having the patio was great for outside dinners and relaxing through out the day. The location is perfect as I don't like being directly on the boardwalk and having access to the beach and the bay was awesome. The house needs some updating but overall the pictures are exactly what you get. We had a great time and will use Vacasa again for our vacation needs.
We stayed down here for a week recently and we were expecting everything to be great except we were worried about parking because of all the other reviews. To put all that rest, we fit a BMW X5 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the car port, so parking is not to worry about. Other than that everything was great, location, amenities and we had great weather!
Truly enjoyed our four night stay here. Perfect house for our family, especially the front patio for grilling and socializing. Location was central and the beach was perfect. Time for some annual improvements, but overall this was a great place. Thank you!
We had a nice stay, despite the weather being cold and rainy for our women's trip. The house is big enough with plenty of seating that we had fun indoors playing cards and board games. Parking is very tight, the tandem parking space in the rear did not accommodate any of our cars, so we were left searching for street parking in this tiny beach community.
Nice place to stay it's kinda far away from restaurants and shops. The parking was horrible you could only fit a a small car in the provided space. Be aware of the parking signs on Mission Blvd you will get a ticket. If your lucky enough to find a parking space don't give it up because you probably won't find another one.
The location is great but the property is very tired and in need of some T.L.C.and perhaps a change of cleaners.
The house was very clean and well kept when we arrived. The house came with plenty of towels and beach towels. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and only a 10 minute walk to the boardwalk. It was perfect for 8 people and we all had a great time.
Everything was very nice, parking a bit tough.
What a great spot for our family to get together....the kids loved the easy access to the sand. 70 degrees in December....amazing!
For the price we paid, this is much smaller than advertised. The house was clean but has a stale smell when you arrive. The kitchen stove oven door sticks very badly and causes the entire stove to tip forward when you try and open it. The bikes that come with the rental are very poorly maintained with broken seats, peeling rusty paint, bent rims and rusty chains. The beds were comfortable and Wi-Fi and televisions worked fine. Parking is a joke. The parking space available to this unit is so narrow that when backed all of the way in, the driver had to crawl out of the back end of the van to exit the vehicle.
The stove for this unit will soon be replaced, and the owner is no longer providing bikes. We apologize for the inconveniences these items caused.
A group of seven girls stayed at La Playa House two weekends ago and it was such a delightful stay! The house was exactly as advertised. It has two rooms downstairs with one bathroom. The master bedroom and bathroom is upstairs with its own patio. The rooms downstairs are a bit small but fit everyone. It was SUPER quiet in the evening and morning and a few steps from the sand. I ran exactly one mile in the mornings to Belmont Park where there was a cute Starbucks. I loved the access to three bikes and stocked house with towels. I highly recommend this house!
Great location. Great experience
No complaints. House worked well for a guys getaway weekend. Close to the beach, coffee shop, taco stand, and bars / boardwalk was a little further down the road.
Place could use some updates to appliances, furniture (especially bedrooms), and overall maintenance, but you can't beat the location, convenience, and ease of rental.
Great location! Anns was amazing and very helpful. Will stay again!
Great place and location! Thanks!!
This property is right next to the beach. If you are looking for simple pleasures, not luxury, this is the right place. We enjoyed are stay.
my family and i will definitely be staying here for our yearly family vacations, great location and everyone as far as staff who i dealt with was perfect! great memories for 2016 Thank you all at vacasa!
Great place to stay as long as they have all of their ammenities in working order.
P.s. parking is VERY tight wall to wall and skinny person must park it in and nothing bigger then a sedan car otherwise you will have to park elsewhere
This house was the perfect setting for our reunion. It was open and spacious, the patio was perfect; we definitely we spent the majority of our time out there. Loved how close the house was to the beach and everything the house offered. We will definitely be using Vacasa again! Thank you for everything!
This condo was at the very end of Mission Beach. We loved how close we were to the beach, but away from the loud nightlife. Our street was so quiet we were able to leave our windows and balcony door open at night. Although the condo came with 2 parking spaces, they were VERY tight and we were not able to get our full size sedan in the spot. We were able to find parking just down the street at the park. The only downside was the park was locked from 10 pm-6 am so we had to plan our evening activities around not using the car after 10. All in all, a wonderful beach house!
Great location. Be wary of narrow driveway (you must be thin to get out of car.
Location is just a few steps away from the boardwalk and beach. This is the quieter part of the beach- most of the action (bars, restaurants, more crowded part of the beach) is a little further south, and easily walkable if that's what you are looking for. Property comes with 2 bikes and there are also other places to rent bikes, etc close by--the boardwalk is bike and skateboard friendly and goes on for miles all the way to the end of Pacific Beach. The place is actually a duplex- the rooftop deck is not accessible when renting this property. Nice balcony off the master and ground floor patio with places to sit and relax. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.
Great for teens, close to the action but not on the boardwalk so you could get a
little peace and quiet. Very simple and no worry zone.
