Large, dog-friendly home w/ private hot tub - perfect for retreats or reunions

With three levels of amazingness, this Killington vacation rental is perfect for your next gathering. With a new hot tub, three living rooms, two kitchens, cathedral ceilings, and skylights, you'll be entertaining in no time. Six bedrooms and two loft spaces make this pet-friendly abode ideal for up to 16 people!

You're never too far from the fun in Killington. It's just three miles to the slopes and only 23 miles to Okemo Mountain. Pick up some gear at nearby Aspen East Ski Shop or have a quick breakfast at Butternut Inn & Pancake House, both just moments away by car.

Alpine luxury never looked this good. Natural wood abounds, from floor to ceiling to walls. And a vaulted ceiling evokes images of Swiss chalets and mountain hideaways.

Enter the main doors and you're transported to another world. Up a few steps you'll find a massive great room, with hardwood floors, a black leather couch, a red sectional couch, flatscreen TV and a door leading to an outdoor deck with four patio chairs and two rocking chairs. An animal pelt hangs over a large stone wood-burning fireplace and the vaulted ceiling features skylights. A foosball table sits just off the space and if you walk down the hall, you'll come across the expansive kitchen, which boasts a large stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, a wood island with seating for four and a dining table for four.

To the left of the kitchen is a small family/living area with another wood fireplace and leather sofa as well as a dining table with a bench and five chairs. Gaze upon the vintage skis and rooster statue as you toast marshmallows over the fire.

From the main living area you can head up one flight to a sleeping loft featuring two twin beds and two full beds and built-in wooden dressers. Skylights let in tons of light and are a great way to gaze at the stars at night.

Behind the kitchen you'll find two private bedrooms with two double beds. A full bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower is down the hall. The stairs to the left of the main kitchen lead to the second story at which you can find two bedrooms - one with two twin beds and the other with a double - a twin-bedded loft and a bathroom.

Head down a flight of stairs at the main entrance and you'll find another complete living space. The carpeted living space boasts two wicker chairs, a plush couch, a wood-burning fireplace and TV. A kitchen just sits off the living space and boasts a fridge and range as well as a breakfast bar built for four guests. Down the hall are two bedrooms, perfect for kids, with a connecting door. One bedroom boasts a bunk bed with one twin and one full bed, as well as an additional twin bed. The other boasts a bunk with a twin on top and a full on bottom. A bath with a standing shower lies just down the hall.

Guests have access to a washer and dryer on-site, as well as free WiFi. The private new hot tub can be found on the 1,000-square-foot deck and enjoyed year round. One dog is allowed, with an extra nightly fee; some breed restrictions apply.

Killington is a resort town known for its amazing skiing. You can be on the slopes in less than 10 minutes. It's one of the top resorts in the Northeast and lures travelers from all over the world. Besides skiing and snowboarding, guests can enjoy tubing and cross country jaunts. If you are tired of the slopes, head to one of the area eateries for a cup of cocoa or a light dinner. Okemo Mountain is also nearby and boast even more challenging terrain.

Two or three ski-loving families will find everything they need in this gorgeous Swiss-style Vermont vacation rental!

Great venue for a big group!

Good house, easy process in and out. I would recommend it in the future.

I experienced a few unsatisfactory conditions with this rental. After expressing my concerns to Vacasa at the end of the rental period I was totally impressed wtih the response I recceived. Vacasa promptly looked into my problem and offered me a generous partial refund which proved to me they genuinely care about customer sarisfaction. My rental experience was rare and unfortunate. Vacasa acknowledged that and cared, so I would most definately use Vacasa again.

Would never recommend this place. Over flowing trash was left in home and never removed. It looked like a months worth. I took a cell phone picture of it and sent it to the agency when I chevked out. Light bulbs and some lamp shades were missing in certain rooms. I had to make small purchase to correct. Broken couch in dining area. Mice droppings in kitchen pantry. Looked like someone put fist through one of the bathroom doors. Cooking utensils for eggs were not clean . Silverware for 12 people was not adequate. Overalll the home needed lots of TLC. We had 12 family members from Thurs to Sunday morning. I called each day about the trash smell originating from the trash bin in the basement garage. It never got taken care of and no one bothered to call me back about it during my stay. It was a great location convenient to everything but I certainly did not get what I paid for. Sorry to give a bad report but it would not be right if I didn't.

Perfect house for group trips. Very close to killington ski mountain
Scott P. Oct 2018
Our group of 15 really enjoyed staying here, just 10 minutes from Killington mountain. When we arrived the hot tub wasn't working and Jorge came to the rescue shortly after. The place does show some signs of wear, broken couch, musty basement smell, baseboards peeling off, but it was clean and that didn't distract from a great time.

Big. Nice home. Needs some tlc but very nice.
Taylor D. Mar 2018
Home was great! Lots of rooms, clean, and checkin/checkout was very easy. It's extremely close to Killington - both mountain and nightlife. Woodburning fireplace was great. All in all, great time.

Had a bunch of guys up for an annual ski trip. Place was awesome for that. Lots of space and big open kitchen. Hot tub was 104 and clean. Maybe Not the best place if you’re super picky but for a guys weekend it really can’t be beat in killington. Thanks and will definitely stay again!!!!

Big open house with lots of room. Not safe for small children. Location is good but no view. View in listing must have been photographed for somewhere else.
Manager response:
The photo of the nearest view has been removed in order to avoid any confusion, and we are working with the owner to install spindles on any railings that might not have them. Thanks!

We were two adults and 12 teenagers who were exploring the Appalachian Trails and doing a lot of group activities at the house and this place was perfect. The two lofts housed the boys and the basement housed the girls. And the two bedrooms housed the adults. The large kitchen area and living room comfortably sat all of us so we were able to work closely together. It is just a 3-4 minute drive to the trail head. Kitchen just needed a little attention to the cooking supplies, but we were wanting to cook all of our meals there so that stood out for us. A great place! And the Vacasa team are very helpful.

Great for groups of friends. Dog friendly. Lots of space inside.
Michael Z. Aug 2017
I was very pleased with this rental! I had a large group of friends traveling here for a summer weekend trip, and the house was exactly what I was looking for. It very comfortably sleeps the 16 it advertises and was furnished well. The driveway is more than large enough to park a large party. Overall, very happy with the rental.

We had a wonderful time staying in Killington reuniting with friends from High School and College. The place is definitely large enough for over 16 people to sleep comfortably, and the layout is perfect for a big group. The open layout from the kitchen to the living room, and eating area is great.
Christopher W. Mar 2017
No complaints. Perfect for a large group and minutes from the mountain/bars. House itself is very well kept.
Taylor J. Mar 2017
...but still pretty great, though. I imagined the layout differently in my head.
Chetan V. Feb 2017
Came here with a large group of college friends for reunion of sorts, and this place was perfect. There's a ton of space to sleep, plenty of cooking space, and it's very close to Killington. Would definitely recommend.
Meaghan B. Jan 2017
This place was perfect for what me and my group needed. We had such an amazing time and are looking to go back again next year!
Westley W. Jan 2017
Awesome home in close proximity to Killington mountain, which can accommodate and entertain large groups at a reasonable price. The massive common space, abundance of beds, two kitchens and hot tub make this home a perfect ski house. Overall we had an amazing time and would highly recommend it for a young group of people looking to have a blast for a weekend.
Agron B. Jan 2017
I came here with a very large group and it was amazing. Everyone was accommodated and there was plenty of room. I would definitely come back and recommend this for anyone intending to go skiing or anywhere with a large group.
Jonathan S. Jan 2017
This house was great for our trip, it has plenty of space and is in a great location close to the mountain. My friends and I are definitely booking a trip here next year!
Fran C. Nov 2016
This house is excellent for large groups. We had three families for a 15 person thanksgiving dinner. Hot tub is a bonus - lots of fun.
Alicia L. Nov 2016
A group of about 12 of us stayed here for a weekend away and had a great time. The house has a ton of space in it and great amenities. The kitchen and grill are great for cooking for large groups. There is an excellent fireplace in the living room and a hot tub to keep you warm. Very close to the Killington Ski area and the local bars/restaurants but still a very private location. First time using Vacasa and I will absolutely use the service again!
Terry G. Oct 2016
Great place for groups. Hot tub was a big plus, plenty of space and parking. Close to amenities.
Patrick D. Sep 2016
Stayed for a bachelor party with 10 guys. We were worried that we wouldn't find a place big enough, but there was room to spare. Great deck, hottub, and property.
Tim P. Jul 2016
I would recommend this house and plan to stay again. If you have a large group of people, this house has lots of rooms and multiple great natural gathering areas. The house is very private, on a heavily wooded lot. Your group would have to be truly obnoxious to disturb the neighbors. However, it is very important to have the right expectations. Imagine years of large groups of active skiers and riders having a great vacation at a ski lodge. The house has seen a lot of good times, and a lot of use. The kitchen has everything you need. You can easily serve 16 people, but it will require a mixture of plates, glasses, and utensils from multiple mis-matched service sets. There is plenty of seating, at multiple tables, and a great deck. However, it would require moving furniture to serve more than 6 people in one place. If you want to get together with friends and family for a casual good time, this is a good choice. If you want a more refined experience, rent a new condo or stay in a hotel.
Ian G. Jul 2016
My group of 13 revelers had an unforgettable weekend! Big thank you to Charles and Vacasa! We couldn't have asked for a better venue to reunite with old friends and we're already planning our next stay here

GREAT HOUSE, GREAT LOCATION. Thirteen of us rented this house for a late season snowboarding/bachelor party weekend. The house slept everyone more than comfortably. The kitchen and the great room being attached made for an awesome hang out area when not out on the deck or in the driveway. The downstairs apartment also made a great space for people that wanted to relax away from the party for a little while. Also the hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day riding the mountain. Even though secluded on a mountain road, the location of the house to the mountain, bars , and local stores almost couldnt be closer especially if you take the short cut on west hill road. Taxi service from the house to the bars was $3 each person and the pickle barrel drove us back for the same price. Also The long trail brewery was about twenty minutes down the highway making for an easy drive there and back. Overall this house almost couldn't be more perfect for a gathering of over ten people. I definitely suggest this place to anybody looking to have an awesome group weekend.
Daniel F. Feb 2016
Perfect place for a large number of guests. Hot tub was a nice touch.
Karen N. Feb 2016
This place is nice and spacious. A typical ski house that needs a big fire to keep it nice and toasty. The house didn't have much in the kitchen areas so we did have to go out and buy things we didn't plan on having to spend money on. But overall I would recommend this property. Neighbors aren't too close so we never had any issues with noise. The driveway is huge and fits many cars which is convenient. Not too far from the access road or mountain.
Amanda L. Feb 2016
We had a great experience in Killington. There was so much space for us to use and everyone slept comfortably. The hot tub was fantastic, probably the nicest hot tub I've experienced in a house rental, and we loved having such a large and communal common space inside. Thank you so much!
Kimberlee F. Jan 2016
Overall a good stay. Some plumbing issues but nothing that would ruin the trip.
Eric B. Dec 2015
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this home! It's tucked in the woods, but still convenient to everything. Plenty of room in the common areas.
Maylicianna S. Nov 2015
Our overall experience at the Killington family home was wonderful! Our group of 16 has no complaints, but rather we just can't stop talking about returning here on our next retreat. The home is a bit old but very spacious and the cathedral ceilings makes up for this. It was very warm and cozy since there is 3 fireplaces for us to use. The complimentary firewood is definitely a plus. The jacuzzi was very nice and well kept. I would definitely stay here again!

Vermont Family Home is in a great location. It is very roomy and easy for a large group to spread out and relax, play games, etc. The main and second levels have very good bed arrangements, with mostly double or queen beds. This home has two inadequacies. The kitchen is not well supplied for family cooking. The most severe problem is that the lower level has a serious mildew issue and is not suitable for occupancy. The owners were notified and hopefully they will remedy the situation. The house can only accommodate 12-14 people if you eliminate the lower level. The upper level also needs some extra railing if children are to stay there.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your review with us. We apologize that you were dealing with mold during your stay and will address that situation immediately. The Property Manager will take inventory of the kitchen to see what else might be needed, and he will check for the safety of our guests on the upper level as well. We hope your family was comfortable and enjoyed the great area!

As one final hoorah before all of us went our separate ways to school, military, etc. We journeyed up to this beautiful home for a weekend stay. The home was so spacious, plenty of beds & dining room. Our entire stay was beyond satisfactory. The neighbors are great, totally didn't mind us getting a little loud (seeing as our group was quite large). We would love to come visit again next summer, I couldn't imagine a better place to come back to! On behalf of our entire group, we say thank you to vacasa for making everything perfect. We would recommend this to any travelers. Plenty of outdoor activities in the area, great food, and a great setup to have a night time fiesta to unwind after a long day!!!! 5 stars!!
Manager response:
Thank you so much for taking the time to share some of the highlights of your stay in this fabulous home! We are delighted to hear that your group enjoyed yourselves in a variety of ways and look forward to having you return next year.
Jay R. Aug 2015
Good for large groups with kids. Property needs some fixes in the main floor bathroom, as well as to control the odor in the lower level, but overall we had a great experience and enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was inviting, though we didnt use it.
Manan D. Jun 2015
if you have a big family, this is ideal vacation., esp with kids.
Ben F. May 2015
Rented this place with a bunch of guys for a golf trip. Very clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again!
