Situated in the popular Olivia Beach neighborhood of Lincoln City, you'll be only three blocks from the shore. This quaint neighborhood boasts a community park as well - it's a great place for the kids to play. Also nearby is local-favorite the Nelscott Cafe, so you can start your day with a hearty breakfast on the mornings you don't feel like flipping the pancakes yourself. Outlet stores are within a mile-and-a-half and Chinook Winds Casino and Resort is about a 10-minute drive north. Please note there is parking for up to three vehicles here, and no on-street parking is allowed in the city.
This inviting vacation home offers a spacious front porch complete with rocking chairs for a lazy afternoon with a good book or a morning cup of coffee. Inside, a sunny yellow and white interior with wainscoting and hardwood floors will make you feel right at home. Take a seat in front of the fire before bed, or come back from a day of beach combing and kick back with some cable TV or a DVD.
The main level has an open floor plan, with the dining room and kitchen sharing this main space with the living room. Socializing as a group is easy here! There's a full kitchen for preparing meals and even a dishwasher to make clean-up easy!
The back of this Lincoln City retreat features a large deck between the house and the garage. A gas grill, outdoor shower, and hot tub await you there.
At night, head upstairs to the second floor, where you will find three bedrooms - two with queen beds, and the third bedroom with two twins. Each room is nicely decorated with wall art, bedside tables, and reading lamps. The kids' bedroom even has its own TV so they can watch cartoons or a movie while the adults use the living room TV. This Glass Float vacation home in Olivia Beach will comfortably sleep up to six guests with a maximum occupancy of eight if you want to use the sofas for sleeping or bring a couple of sleeping bags. Up to two dogs are also welcome, though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply.
Other amenities include a washer and dryer so you can pack light, board games, a CD player, and a DVD library. This home also has a half bathroom on the main level, and two full bathrooms upstairs.
The Olivia Beach neighborhood is a beautiful community tucked away inside central Lincoln City. You'll be just a short walk (less than ten minutes) from the sand and a short car ride from all of Lincoln City's attractions. Visit the outlet mall for some shopping, glass galleries for a souvenir to take home, explore Devils Lake State Park to the north, or try your luck at Chinook Winds Casino.
Easy day trips can include the Oregon Coast Aquarium, 26 miles south or cheese tasting at the Tillamook Cheese Factory, about an hour's drive north. But really, with the beach just steps away and your very own hot tub, you might be content to just stay close to this comfortable and charming Lincoln City beach house!
No matter how you spend your time, this Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental in Lincoln City will be sure to please the whole family!
We loved the house as well as the proximity to the beach, town, and the adorable park around the corner.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Pet friendly, super clean, cozy. Can’t wait to stay again
The house was spacious, clean and well equipped! Our stay included 4 small children the house had plenty of room for them to play as well as a park very close by! We will definitely be back!
What a great place for a family to stay. We were very happy with it and a really nice neighbor hood .
We had a great stay in this vacation home! I really loved the layout of this house, the large kitchen, pet friendly, cozy everything, nice neighborhood, responsive management, and the hot tub. The hot tub guy was great! We had a little trouble with the hot tub heating correctly one day and this guy came right over and fixed the problem! We would stay here again.
The house was beautiful , very cute, upscale neighborhood. I was a little disappointed by the ad because it showed a picture of the grill but it was locked in the garage. It was one of the only reasons I chose this place and it wasn’t for use. Summertime amenity? The hot tub control panel was confusing and hard to understand. Please put a guide on how to use it in the welcome book.
We apologize this guest struggled to access the BBQ and use the hot tub and wish they had called for assistance. We do keep the BBQ in the garage during the winter to keep it out of the rain, but guests do have access to the garage. We have included this information, along with hot tub control panel instructions, in the information guests receive regarding the property. Thank you!
The home is beautifully furnished, warm and welcoming. There were a few places that could use some extra attention - the baseboards and walls were dirty, we found some food scraps and crumbs in the kitchen drawers, no steak knives (the kitchen seemed to have everything except steak knives), and the hot tub was put on sleep mode and difficult to figure out. No instructions or info for hot tub were provided. There was what looked like mold or mildew on hot tub headrests. The hot tub was the main reason we chose to rent this property, so it was frustrating not being able to use it the first night. We called the office for help and they were able to tell us it was probably on sleep mode, but did not have information on how to change the settings. We had to do quite a bit of research to find info on the particular tub as it is an older model. The hot tub is only fenced on three sides, with the side facing the driveway being completely open and in view of neighbors house and backyard. It would have been nice to have full privacy. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. There are quite a bit of stairs to tackle in order to get to the beach, so probably not the best place for those who are not able bodied. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and will probably rent through Vacasa in the future.
Had a great time here for the week! The town is pretty small for a 5 night vacation, 4 nights would have been perfect! Lost a lot of money at the casino, so it was a fun trip!
Very cozy home. With plenty of room for six.
Super cute house. The only drawback was the side yard hole that is cut out in the fence seeing as the house is dog friendly. We couldn’t really let our dog out in the yard without trying FYI cover the hole. Would be nice if the hole wasn’t in the fence. A deep cleaning would be nice to remove some of the dirt on baseboards and fixtures. No hand soap in the kitchen. Pluses were the hot tub, which is really nice. The house has adorable decor and is cozy. Decor and the location are both nice. The neighborhood is so adorable and beautiful. Loved walking the neighborhood and beach. A definate must stay in this neighborhood.
The hole in the fence has been repaired, and deep cleans for all our homes are taking place this fall. Thank you!
The house was quit and clean. We listened to music while in the hot tub as well as when we played games. Neighbors are friendly and do listen to some great Bob Marley on Sunday while BBQ. Highly recommend the Glass Float
The neighbors next to this property are rediculous. We received a noise complaint at 9:20 pm. We were inside the house playing a dice game with our kids on a Saturday night. The contract indicated the noise curfew was not until 10 pm and we were respectfully quiet by that time.
The house and neighborhood are very attractive. Layout was good for 3 adults and 3 kids. Beach access will be challenging for older/less mobile guests in addition to bringing supplies to the beach as closest access is gained by about 5 flights of stairs down after 2 flights up.
Another beach option is to drive about 1/2 mile down the road for easier access but parking is limited. The park in the neighborhood is lovely and we enjoyed that community feature.
We had issues with hot tub as did other renters in the reviews. Heater was broken and tech did not come until last night of our 5 night reservation even though I called Vacasa the day of check-in to report the problem. If this amenity is important to you, I would book a diff property given apparent unreliability.
As far as Lincoln City goes, I learned most people come here for the beach houses and casino. The town is not very nice. Mostly strip malls on Hwy 101 and not pedestrian friendly. No good shopping areas like Cannon Beach or Manzanita. Other beach towns nearby are nicer so we spent some time driving up and down 101 to check things out. Also no notable restaurants. Kyllos needs a major update. Moe's is nothing special at Siletz Bay. The restaurants are really chain quality at best. We did really enjoy a trip to Pelican Brewing in Pacific City about 20 miles north. 20 miles (but worth it)!!!
While the property was nice (minus hot tub) I would probably not book a place in Lincoln City again.
The aquarium, shopping and overall area was a lot of fun. Its a great place for the whole family
The house was lovely and clean, it had what we needed. Although the kitchen was pretty poorly stocked, there weren't any grill tongs or cooking spray (95% of rentals I've stayed at have these 2 things). It would have also been nice if they had tin foil or something.
We didn't use the hot tub as much as I would have liked, but the home was super cozy and well furnished.
It was a beautiful, well furnished home with a nice walk to the beach. Everything was provided that we could possibly want. My favorite part was that the checkout was so simple and not very demanding. I paid a small fee and was able to get a late check-out of 7:00pm. This allowed us to sleep in, enjoy the area a little longer and miss the traffic going home. We had a great time!!
the house has been nicely built with kitchen, counters , dining room and living room open areas for mingling while preparing meals. We often had 6 people doing things and never felt crowded or in each others way.
It's a nice neighborhood for walking with interesting houses and a nice park a couple blocks away. We had our dog along with us, and it was a very nice area to be able to take a walk without worrying about traffic in the area or on the walk to the beach accesses.
Great size, great layout.
If it had a view of the beach it would be nearly perfect!
This home is quite nice and comfortable. It is in a quaint residential development and feels rather "New England" like. There are MANY stairs to access the beach on foot so consider this when booking this home/location.
very nice neighborhood with similar homes. house was clean and had enough kitchen supplies. there are a lot of movies in the closet but only about 4 for kids. would be nice to have bunk beds in the bedroom that has the 2 twin beds.
over all very happy with our stay there.
I stayed at this beach house for my 23rd birthday weekend it was amazing for the price it was clean well equiped and the hot tub was awesome. I would defiantly stay here again many more times. It was a very nice quite neighborhood. Before we even checked out their was someone their servicing the hot tub that made me glad to know they are on top of things.
Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay in this home. It was beautiful and well taken care of! It really made us feel at home! We would stay here again in a heart beat!! Our only issue was that it wasn't really clean when we got there and with how much you pay for the cleaning fee, we were disappointed in that.
The house needed attention. The couch was full of stains, the living room fan did not work, the master bedroom ceiling fan was full of dust the same room had many cobwebs all over the room this was disappointing. Don't plan on parking in the garage if you drive an SUV and if you have a smaller car be prepare for a 15 point turn parking job. It was disappointing to find out from neighbors that the community has access to a heated outdoor pool, but this rental does not have access to it.
The Property Manager has laundered all sofa cushions and will steam clean the stains as soon as possible. All dust and cobwebs are gone, and the ceiling fan is working correctly.
My family stayed here for a weekend for one last get away before our oldest heads off to college. Olivia Beach is a darling, quaint community in Lincoln City. The home is cute from the outside, about 3 blocks from the stairs down to the beach, but the home needs a deep clean. Lots of dust on blinds, window sills and less obvious places than the actual furniture. The floors needed to be swept when we got there. White slip-covers on the furniture (white in a pet-friendly home??) need to be washed! The scatter rugs need washing or replacing. The carpet is on its last leg. There were ants in the cupboard. The knob for the jet control in the hot tub was broke and no one came to fix it till we were packing up to leave, even though I called the evening we checked in.
The kitchen could be stocked a bit more. We had to go buy a cheese grater, and buy paper plates to use as a make-shift cutting board! Only had one serving bowl- when you rent a home as opposed to a hotel room, it's assumed you're going to be cooking meals, so having essentials in the kitchen should be a safe assumption for the renter. Terrible coffee maker, very basic and made awful coffee.
We were very disappointed to find out after we got there, that though Olivia Beach has a heated pool as an amenity, The Glass Float does not have those privileges.
The bed in the master is an electronic adjustable bed, which for certain people, could be a wonderful thing, but the mattress is extremely firm. I realize some people like that; I am not one of them.
All that to say, if theses issues were addressed, I would rent this home again. The house itself was cute, layout was nice, hot tub was fairly private, the beach area is beautiful and we thought the price was good.
We appreciate receiving this feedback for improvement. The home will have received its fall deep clean by the end of September, which will take care of all of the cleanliness issues, and the Property Manager has inventoried the kitchen and provided the missing, basic kitchen supplies. The hot tub knob is functioning perfectly, and we are very sorry that it took so long for a technician to arrive to do the work.
Beautiful home, great amentities, well-stocked, loved the neighborhood, perfect close location to the beach. Bring a fan to frown our the birds in master bedroom.
We have rented this house twice now and have enjoyed it both times.
We stayed at this beautiful glass house for a whole week, each day we found different things to do and places to go. The glass house was equipped with everything you need. We cooked meals everyday, children found games to play as the house provided with lots of board games. Had a wonderful time. Would come back to the glass house again. Thanks a lot!
Great home and great location...reservation process is extremely easy and staff is amazing! We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
I loved this place as far as the house goes. Did not like the dog smell on the couch and was unhappy with the cleanliness. But other than that was great!!!
The Property Manager has a cleaning scheduled for the slipcovers for the couches; this should help with the odor and overall feel of cleanliness. Thank you!
A wonderful location for a weekend getaway with family.
Charming beach house with the cutest private porch and patio in the back complete with outdoor warm water shower! The walk to the beach was decent with 109 stairs down a cliff, but we did find a close less strenuous public access nearby. There are lots of tide pools and hunting for agates was so fun! There is a cute park around the corner with a play structure, large grass area and fire pit with benches.
Our only complaints...
When we rented the home the photos indicated there was access to the community pool and fitness center. It also stated in a review a month prior to be sure and ask for keys to those places. We did upon arrival, but we're then informed there was not access for this home. That was disappointing. Also, please be aware this home only has beds and bedding for 6... Not 8 so you will need to bring some type of mattress and blankets/pillows if you need more sleeping room.
In the home all bedrooms are upstairs if you have someone with stair difficulty. The beds were very comfortable and the home is very nicely furnished. Lots of towels and the kitchen is stocked! Tons of movies and games too. We really enjoyed our stay at Olivia beach! It's a great, quiet area on the coast full of charm.
The property is spacious and bright. Creates a great "vacation" atmosphere. The neighborhood is quiet and very nice to look at. The location is ideal because it's fairly central to interesting places north (Tillamook) and south (Newport). The beach adjacent to the neighborhood is awesome with incredible tide pools during low tide. (Access to the adjacent beach would be challenging for seniors or anyone with physical disability due to the stairway.) We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property.
Very cute home and community. Short walk to beach.
We went and stayed here for our mothers birthday and the house was beautiful and big enough for a party. Lots of parking, nice hot tub, and comfortable beds. We are very happy with our stay and will rent here again. Very close to beach and volleyball grounds as well. Make sure to ask for pool key when booking or you won't be able to accsess the pool area. Brought our husky and had her with us as well as 6 other people and all fit nicely in beds and couches. Will recommend to friends :)
We had a wonderful time. The Glass Float house is a very nice place to stay. We hope to come back this Fall.
This house was perfect for our relaxing girls weekend on the coast. We comfortably fit 6 adult women in the home and sharing the bathrooms was no issue. It was great to have the additional half bath downstairs.
The house was clean and comfortable. We all slept well on the beds and everyone said how comfy the beds and sheets were. Having the hot tub to enjoy at the end of the night was such a great addition to our trip! The neighborhood was nice and quiet in the evenings and we even got to know some other people renting on the street.
We could have used more kitchen items and even brought a few from home. Nothing that prevented us from doing our thing but it would have been more convenient to have some extra mixing bowls and tupperwear around.
The walk to the beach was perfect! The stairs didn't seem to bother anyone on the trip. We also loved being so close to the outlet mall, although it was a little difficult to get onto the main road.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to anyone looking into to have a quiet and relaxing weekend in Lincoln City!
The house location wasn't too bad, can't really hear the ocean with the windows open, but once you find the beach access location it's not too bad of a walk. The house itself had a nice lay out. The hot tub was nice but not as private as I thought based on the photo. One side of the hot tub faces the neighbors porch.
The cleaners didn't complete the cleaning of the house as evidence by: a large load of damp towels in the dryer, a flat sheet wet in the washer (which was missing from one if the single beds), the vacuum in the middle if the hallway, only one set of bath towels hung in one bathroom, no hand towels or soap in the bathrooms and a half drank blended coffee on the BBQ. We even showed up 45 minutes after check in so I'm not sure what happened that the cleaners didn't finish. We finished the laundry, did the folding, found extra hand soap and put away the vacuum. It was just a weird way to start the weekend and it made us all nervous about what had or hadn't been cleaned.
Also, a previous post had warned about the birds above the master bedroom waking them up at 5am. I called ahead to make sure before finalizing the reservation that the birds were taken care of, I was assured that a work order had been put in and that by the time we arrive (a month later) the birds would be removed. We were woken up at 5:30am both mornings to the sound of the birds making all kinds of noise in the ceiling above the master bed. This was my birthday weekend with girlfriends and I had hoped to sleep in. Lastly, the wood floors downstairs are super slick so be careful when you step on the rugs or have socks on, we all almost fell several times throughout the weekend, just an FYI.
We are very sorry that this home was not as clean as it should have been; this housekeeper is no longer with us, and we have followed-up with the rest of the housekeeping team on our expectations. The birds' entry into the home will be boarded up once the birds have left the home; we apologize if this is an inconvenience to our guests.
My daughter was turning 21 and wanted a house with a hot tub and this one caught my eye. The property was well kept and in a quiet little neighborhood. When booking the property I was a little surprised at how high the cleaning fee was so I would have expected the house to be a bit cleaner. We brought our dog so I expected some dog hair knowing that it was a pet friendly property but I think maybe the place didn't get a good sweeping before we arrived. The wax on the floor was ridiculous and all of us nearly fell at least once...be careful coming off the steps to the hardwoods! Also, we were requested to run the dishwasher but there weren't any dishwasher soap pods left so I grabbed some while we were in town. I went to do a load of towels too and realized that the dryer sheets were empty as well...another trip to town solved that. I read the reviews about the stairs to get to the beach and we tackled those once but the rest of the visit we went down to Mo's and used the access there. Overall it was a nice relaxing time and I would book this place again!
The house itself was fine, the grill was nasty, had no propane. The hot tub had too much chlorine. Not pet friendly unless your dog doesn't need grass to relieve themselves. Vacasa was impossible to get a hold of. Not going through them again, I'll go to Beach Front rentals.
We apologize that we have been difficult to reach lately due to an increase in all volume; we are actively training more employees so that we are easier to get in touch with.
When we first walked into the house, it felt like we were on vacation at the beach. Everything in the house was warming and welcoming. And the fireplace made the rainy day worth staying in. There is a nice little park nearby that you could take your pets and it was a short walk from the property to get to the beach, but there were some stairs to climb. I would recommend this place to everyone and the pictures capture the home exactly.
Great house and fantastic location! We will be back for sure. Olivia Beach is a gem and some of the best tide pools we've found on the cent coast. We will happily stay with Vacasa again!
Beautiful house. Off street parking was nice! Hot tub was wonderful. Kitchen set up was great! Bird nest in the ceiling above the master bedroom was awful.. Could not sleep past 5a due to noise!!
The house number should be 152 as that is the number of stairs to climb to get to/from the beach. There is also a fairly steep hill to climb in between two sets of stairs. You cannot hear nor see the ocean. It's a nice quite neighborhood though, and the hot tub is a bonus being so far from the beach.
Although we were looking for a dog friendly location, we are slightly allergic to dogs (we have a hypoallergenic dog). We had to spend a few hours cleaning up dog hair (under the sofa and chairs, corners, etc). We also had to cover the cloth sofa and chairs with bed sheets in order to sit in them. Also, there was a general dustiness and uncleanliness in general. Furnishings are nice, but get lost in a layer of grime. Also, spotted some 'sugar' ants by the fireplace.
Speaking of the fireplace, it was also a welcome feature. However, the fireplace puts out some serious heat and cannot be used for general ambiance.
The sleeping arrangements were very good and the master bed is very comfortable. There was ample supply of kitchen ware and toilet paper, but the paper towels were 'Dawn' and had some type of soap in them.
There is a great supply of board games, DVD movies, and some books as well. We brought our Roku being unaware of these items. The internet connection is good and allowed 2 adults and 2 teenagers ample speed.
It wouldn't take much too much to make this a 5+ star for cleanliness and maintenance, but you'll never get around the location - which is ok if the price and description of the property reflected that.
We apologize that the cleanliness was lacking and will work with housekeeping on getting everything sparkling clean. Sugar ants are a common problem on the coast this time of the year, but we will do our best to eradicate them as quickly as possible.
A very clean and cozy place to stay. Can't see the ocean from the property, but you can hear it at night when you go to bed. The gas fireplace is very nice. Throws out a lot of heat. The beach is just a short walk with a long woden stars down. The Oregon Coast aquarium is very enjoyable place to visit. We enjoyed our stay here & would come back in the future.
My wife and I enjoyed the quite neighborhood, nearby park, and walking distance to the beach.
Lovely beach community! Fun to walk around the neighborhood and the park is great for kids. This is a bright, cute beach house! Just the right size for our family and in-laws. We loved our stay here!
The home is clean! especially for a dog friendly rental. the hot tub is spacious and clean. The community is lovely and quiet. The walk to the beach is nice. Lots of stairs, but our group liked it :) We hope to come back in the summer!
Ladies mid week mini vacation was a hit with this beautiful house. My biggest issues were the ants. Very annoying when cooking and seeing ants by your food and constantly having to clean the countertops before during down to eat. The construction on the house next door was a pain. It made it very difficult to sleep in with their early morning machines making noise. The cost for 2 days was one of the cheapest I found. But with the ant issue alone it's not worth the money. Other than it is a beautiful house and the staff that I met with or conversed with were very pleasant and treated me well.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We apologize that ants were such a nuisance for you and will do what we can to get rid of them. We are glad to see that you otherwise enjoyed the beautiful home!
Great house - well appointed but tough trip to get to beach!
This place was nicely furnished and very comfortable with plenty of games and movies to use. We appreciated the outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand, the kids loved the hot tub and we used the BBQ daily. The only thing that may be a problem for some with walking issues is the two sets of stairs to get to the beach, but they could use another beach access. Other than that a perfect vacation home that we will surely rent again.
We enjoyed our stay at the Glass Float House. Check in and departure was so easy. The location is central to all Lincoln City had to offer and the beach is very nice!
We loved our stay! My husband and I grew up in Oregon and love visiting the coast. We were not disappointed with our stay at the glass float house in any way. The home is nestled in an adorable neighborhood protected by a wooded bluff. It was very walkable and we enjoyed looking at the surrounding homes. The interior is adorably beachy and airy. It is well furnished and the bed are very comfortable. My kids loved the hot tub and outdoor shower. The only thing people should be aware of is the beach access. It is located a short walk away through the homes. The stairs down to the beach are quite extensive. It is a good hike up and down the stairs but the beach is amazing. We pretty much had it to ourselves. There are also some tide pools that are fun to explore at low tide. If you don't want to hike the stairs there is also a very flat beach access a few blocks down the street. We can't wait to come back again!
Thanks so much for your review. Your feedback regarding the beach access is valuable to us, as it provides important information for our future guests. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed this fantastic home and its charming neighborhood, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
We had a fantastic long weekend with 3 generations in the home. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the rooms were very comfortable
We had a very good experience; the house was very clean and beautiful, the hot tub was warm and fresh and everything was ready for us when we arrived. We were allowed to check in early. There was a barbecue on the back deck and the large kitchen was great! We would recommend this house to anyone.
We stayed at the Glass Float property in Lincoln City and loved it. The surrounding neighborhood is very cute and quiet. The beach is a short walk away (with lots of killer stairs to get down haha!) The house was very well appointed and there was plenty of space for all five of us. We would definitely visit this property again.
